GOD! You suckered the pure Romantic in me with this one! :-D Made my heart go "pitter-pat" as the saying goes! LOL I absolutely LOVED the "gifting" of love to Sherlock! The scene on the couch was PERFECT! Sensual, tender, and romantic! (Heck, I want an afternoon on the couch like that!) And the follow-up to that was just as good, the date, the sex, the relationship...just Perfectly Wonderful! And the tidbits in the epilogue were Great! Cute, cuddly, and still Them! I read ALL kinds of stories and enjoy them and have absolutely no aversion to smut! ;) :) I think you should be commended for writing a Really nice piece without going straight to the hard sex. You covered the development of a relationship in a very real way adding the sex in naturally and I think that is a hard balance for some writers to achieve. thanks soo much for the Great Ride! :-D

What I love about this chp is the angst of Sherlock assuming that John's simply lusts for him because that's all he understands. To him affection and lust are basically the same and both are born of chemistry - I love that you captured that idea instead of giving him the emotional insight to quickly.
