This was amazing. It was an excellent, engaging narrative...like I was reading an epic or even an Illiad. Loved it, I could visualize everything that was happening. A little sad at the end but I think that added to the depth of the piece and made it even more real.

Nice... But depressing... Very depressing

Nice! Brilliant perspective on both characters, great work all round! But what about the riders? Eragon was stronger alone than Murtagh (with the knowledge of the Eldanauri which he would have been able to reflect on over the years) and along with whatever riders he'd accumulated over the years would have had a better chance of defeating the thing-whatever it was-than Murtagh. Maybe you should say something like the being blocked all communication to wherever the riders are in a way that Eragon is unawhere of, just to take the riders out of the equasion.

You know, I think you could make a real story out of this. Just a suggestion, but I really think it would make a good one, and now you already have the plot, it wouldn't be as hard as usual. I'd highly reccomend (and hope for) a full length fic!

That was really good! One of the only inheiritance fan fic's that have felt really authentic. keep it up!

Intriguing... and a bit sad... But overall it is better than what CP left us with, so I will thank you for sharing.
