![]() Author has written 8 stories for Inheritance Cycle. 1-16-2016 Tolerance Tolerance. It is a concept that has been abused by our current age and used to beat the individual's beliefs into submission. It is being shown to mean that you must have respect for and never disagree with people of differing opinions. But what it really means is very different. Tolerance is a fair, objective, and permissive attitude toward opinions, beliefs, and practices that differ from one's own. It does not require you to agree with the other person, merely that you permit their beliefs. And even if this is the definition that you accept, it also requires that both sides of the belief be tolerant, not just the most culturally acceptable side. Using this truth as a guide, I must ask you all to consider the following questions carefully. -Why is the call for tolerance and politically correct behavior aimed to only benefit certain groups and largely exclusive of everyone else' beliefs? I tell you these examples are not remotely tolerant. They pretend to be defending the idea of tolerance, but they trample it in full daylight for all to see... The conservative opinion is just as deserving of being tolerated as the liberal one. I tell you now, that for the Christians' part we have been extremely tolerant of those who hold opposing opinions. We have been tolerant of them all along. We have not demanded they change their opinions, or withheld federal funding from them if they refused our standards. We have not used judicial and economic pressures to force our belief system on others. And I tell you now, that it is time for them -those working to impose their own brand of tolerance on others- to turn around and start practicing it. Thanks and Amen. 9-03-2015 Disorder in America Law Enforcement Officers are under attack by racial-radical-cowards. And I am for the moment too stunned and infuriated to even consider playing in the forum. I know I have already kept you all waiting {some of you for a month} but every time I go to sit down and write, all I can think of is how to help regain the country. Obama {opposing over 70 percent of the American public} is ramming yet another bad deal down our throats. The Iran Nuclear Deal {with their self-inspecting, death-chanting, terrorist-supporting agenda} is not even the last straw... Black-supremacist vigilantes are executing officers, shooting them from behind and in their home. And the president decides to take a trip to Alaska and rename a mountain... Thanks for the wonderful leadership - NOT! And if that is not bad enough, after having the Supreme Court {who has no legislative authority to create laws} re-define marriage, Christians who stand by their God-given definitions are being jailed for not complying. Sorry about this... but I am just not able to play online while all of this is going on. 6-26-2015 The Light of UnChanging Truths I write to all the many faithful, with a message of hope. This message wants to pour out over the earth with gentle reassurance. In fact, it will not let me rest until I have written it down. And that message is this. Do not be afraid. The foundations of truth cannot be shaken by the whims of mortal man. Man {and by man I mean both man and woman} may think he can re-write morality to suit his own designs. But he deludes himself entirely when he chooses to lower his standards and stray from God's image of virtuousness. Be assured that the law of the land is not God's law. The judgement of man is not God's judgement. And the rewards of worldly life are nothing when compared to the rewards God bestows on those who follow His unchangeable truths. Perhaps the current laws of man favors a woman's choice for convenience over an infant's right to be born. But we know that God is the author of life and death and that He alone has the right to call His little ones home. This truth will never change no matter how many laws mankind chooses to erect. Perhaps society {backed by the media} will look unfavorably upon Godly individuals and groups who promote the truth, specifically the truth about sinful behavior and the value of repentance and reconciliation. Perhaps they will see this wonderfully embracing and restorative message to be intolerant and demeaning. Perhaps they will point to such groups and proclaim them to be hate-groups. But nothing could be further from the truth. These Godly followers share their messages, not out of hate, but out of love. They risk being unpopular in the hope that their fallen brethren might make it into Everlasting Life in Heaven. After all, you don't get to into Heaven by following the laws of man, but rather by following the Maker of the Heavens. So I say this to each and every one of you. Follow God boldly into the world. Shine with his truth and virtue. If the world around you shouts accusations and blame, do not let their words of shame weigh you down. We are not required to wallow in the lower standards set by the world of man. We must rise above it all, and in the darkening world we will shine all the more. Be bold and fearless. Be the loving face of God to all, even to those who wish not to see. For all is in His hands... Knowing this, we can confidently step forward, upholding truth and love, with peace in our hearts. Thanks and Amen 5-13-2013 To whom it may concern, Here is the link to Kumar LaVoixDuSud so you can check out his other works. You won't be sorry. ;) It has been a while since I posted chapters on a regular basis. And in spite of my best efforts, my updates are few. My stories have received very little attention due to my continued obsession with role-play in both my forum and that of a friend's. I guess you could say I am addicted. The chains are such that I fear I will lose the patience of my readers. But I will struggle to put a priority on my work, and I resolve to focus equal time on them. I will be updating my profile a little better. Leaving the old stuff up was even starting to confuse me. Sincerely, Restrained Freedom @};- roses I have compiled a list of Inheritance Cycle stories that I believe to be the "Best of the Best"... I can't think of all of them straight off... but these are the ones I can recall. I will add to this list as I locate more of them in my large collection of favorites. My Personal Favorites "Diamond Cut Diamond" by Witchy Pixie "Eldunari" and sequel "Edoc'sil" by wildskysong "I'll Stand By You" by formerAnnie "Lirouratr" by Maireh {new addition to the list} "Of the Langfelds" by Hazelcloud "Overcome" by LOTRRanger "Rewritten" by Fallen Dragonfly "Shackled by Blood" by purplehairedwonder "Shade" by Negligible1 {caution; M rating for language and mature themes} "Sons of War" by The Last Rider "The Escape" by kumar LaVoixDuSud {new addition to the list} "The True Inheritance, or Eld Hljödhr abr Wyrda" by Adin the Conqueror, Aka: Michael C. Holman "The Warrior and The Dragon" by kumar LaVoixDuSud {new addition to the list} "Two days, three nights" by kumar LaVoixDuSud {new addition to the list} Please feel free to check them out. I promise you won't be sorry. Re: The recently discovered IC illness, PIDS (Post Inheritance Depression Syndrome) Presenting the cure to the end of Inheritance "The True Inheritance, or Eld Hljödhr abr Wyrda" by Adin the Conqueror. You can find it in my 'Favorites.' I encourage you to check out, and I'd love to know how many of you think his work should be declared canon. XD This fiction actually goes where CP was afraid to go. It is ten, no... a hundred times more satisfying than Paolini's mediocre vision. And that is only after the first chapter... Can't wait to see what he does with A&E, and all of the rest... Adin actually takes CP's work to the exalted place it was meant to go. It is what I always imagined for the series... It is what I wanted to see happen... It is what I craved to have happen... And Damnit, it is what I now believe really happened... Favorite Quote: "When words are not better than silence... one should be silent." by Kwai Chang Caine (Kung Fu) My Own Personal Pet Peeve You see one little line in Eldest gets misquoted all the time... Murtagh said that 'no stranger's life is worth more than his and Thorn's.' ... He did NOT say 'no one's life is worth more than his and Thorn's.' In conclusion those who think Murtagh is the ultimate in survival need to read carefully. He does have things he is willing to risk everything for... just not strangers... XD Here is a welcome to My Forum, for any and all, who are interested in joining, or simply looking it over... |
