Suz, (purplangel) told me to check out your story - I'm so happy she did. Great insight into a tough character, a vivid portrayal of a 'day in the life'.

I always love fics focusing on the secondary characters and giving them more depth and feeling. This one is just about perfect, and really gives a lot of meaning to the look on Javi's face after he shot the sniper in "Kill Shot." And it makes sense that the bad day he'd have, would be the day that Slaughter is around making things bad for just about everyone.

You've done a great job of capturing what happens once the acute phase of PTSD is over...capturing the fact that it's never COMPLETELY over. I liked this. A lot.

The premise of your story drew me in even though I'm not a huge Javier Esposito fan. I'm so glad that I decided to read it! Very well thought-out and meaningful.

Wow, that was one intense one shot! I never really thought about Esposito and his story with PTSD, so I really enjoyed this story into his past (although the content was depressing). Your story really touched me.

I love how I now see Espo in a different light because of this one-shot. Great job delving into the difficult topic of PTSD.

I also really like how you've thrown in a bit of humor into this dark, deep story. I lol over: Well, Castle looked clearly out of his depth and scared shitless (with good reason). and - Ryan made his excuses; he after all had a wife at home and had shot a quick "night" before sprinting for the lift muttering something about lucky clovers

And Javi's number? Very realistic. Loved how you told us about Iraq plus Afghanistan plus his time on the force.

And for some reason, the ending? - It caused a shiver to run down my spine: Tomorrow…..tomorrow will be a better day.

I really like your viewpoint on Esposito's PTSD. I think you nailed his character. Great job for your first story!
