Terribly bittersweet. I loved how they met- pure Artemis XD and how you transformed their adventures into plausible ordinary events.

Sad, depressing and so like them.

This definately made me cry!
It was so SAD!
But I do love how you portrayed everything. I could tell right away that he was supposed to be Artemis-like or something but I was thinking that maybe they were the children of Artemis and Holly. ONLY when he said "you're not seriously writing about fairies." did I realize what was going on.
I literally laughed at how I had been seeing this story going a whole other direction than it really was.

I love it, but I couldn't choose between this one and "Every map is blank".
They are both WONDERFUL!

I have to admit I was surprised that Minnie was GOOD though. I was expecting you to portray her as a bully.
I never liked her in the books (I was even able to ignore my feminist side going "but she accomplished what Arty did at a YOUNGER age! And she's a GIRL!") but here, I was sad to see her go.

It was REALLY an amazing theory of how this story came to be, I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Interesting, and sad...an original idea

I read this twice, and I burst out crying each time. This was wonderful; everything fit and worked so well, and overall, it was just amazing.

Did you know that Erin means Ireland? It's the cognate of the word for Ireland in the Irish language. Random fact!
But wonderful. Great. Some of this fandom sucks. Some is good. This is the latter.

I really loved this story. The Artemis Fowl series is one of my favorites and I love reading unique takes on it. I thought the character of Arthur was a brilliant take on Artemis and it was really neat how Erin is both Holly Short and Eoin Colfer. This is defiantly a great story and now I have to go re-read And Every Map is Blank which I thought was wonderful the first time through but now have something to compare it to.

Okay, trying to be coherent here and maybe I should say I have a serious thing for heavy AUs, like, where NOTHING'S recognizable except the names and personality characteristics - the pleasure is in the puzzle of unwinding the remix and recognizing the callbacks and the familiar lines dropped in entirely new settings. I used to read a ton of Narnia AUs, and then recently I read a HP one in which all the names were changed and it was even MORE FUN because now we get to figure out who the characters are and why the author picked those names for them.

Which is a rambly way of saying THIS STORY SCRATCHED AN ITCH I HARDLY KNEW I HAD AND IT IS AMAZING AND WOWOWOWOW.

The acorn cakes, the hostage, the internet trolls, MINNIE YES MINNIE SO PERFECT AND THAT'S WHY SHE DISAPPEARED AND THAT'S WHY HE DIED AND THE HAPPY ENDING WAS WISH FULFILLMENT AND THIS ALL MAKES IT SO SO VERY HEARTBREAKING AND YET I LOVE IT TO ITTY BITTY PIECES.
