Did you predict stories and generations. A lot of those concepts seem to be in this story. It is really good story, so I can see why Capcom might steal ideas.

Anyway great story! You managed to represent the world of monster hunter pretty well... as far as I know at least, I'm no expert.
Your characters where great! and you also did a great job on the fight scenes... or sequences whatever the're called.

Ok, I now get it. Leader of the cult wears black armor that seems to absorb light. The Alatreon's scale has the same properties. Riders are people with monster partners. Cult worships a black dragon god. Alatreon's is black and is considered a god. Area on the ocean is always afflicted with horrible weather. Alatreon commands all elements but is unstable thereby also being called a living natural disaster. Has anyone else connected the dots?!

A wonderful end! But dang it all, you put the last chapter out before I could review the last one. Maybe I should read these a little faster...

Anyway, I really did like the final battle. It was very fast paced and enjoyable. I only wish it was a little longer. I honestly did not see the Alatreon's 'possessing' of Zeal coming! If anyone, I would have thought it was Alteos that would have been the elder dragon's host. I really enjoyed how you wrote the hand-to-hand combat especially. Those kinds of close range battles were never something I believed I was exceptional at, so it's always fun to read one written by someone that excels at it.

Of course, when York said the line, "Let's get dangerous," all I could really think of was the old Darkwing Duck cartoons from back in the nineties, so that really threw off the vibe for a little while. I got a good laugh out of it though, even if not many other readers will get the same reaction to that part of the story.

The only real thing that I could complain about with the whole fight was that there didn't seem to be enough injuries for a small group going toe-to-toe with an elder dragon, but then again, not everyone seems to enjoy placing their characters into harsh situations like I do.

I also really enjoyed the epilogue; it really brought around the end of the story very well, though we really didn't find out what Rose was up to after the time skip besides being a mother. I wish I was better at imagining how the armor you described for Wes looked; I mean, I have this vague image in my mind, but I'm not sure how good it is... I wish we could have heard more about what happened to some of the other characters from your story.

Finally, I really appreciate the mention in the note at the end! It's always very flattering to hear things like that from other writers, especially those whose stories you enjoy. I really wish I'd been able to post more reviews for each individual chapter. Anyway, I really look forward to your sequel if/when you get around to writing it! Anyway, the story really picking up now. I'm interested to see how you deal with the Alatreon when you get to it. It doesn't really seem like other writers really do much with that particular elder dragon, so I'd like to see how other writers depict it.
