Hey there, I suppose you probably won't read this, since you haven't posted anything here for years, but I figured I'd leave my thoughts anyway. I loved this, and I was very sad to see that it wasn't complete. It's incredibly cute, Hiccup slowly coming to terms with his homosexuality. His and Astrids friendship is really sweet, even though they mostly curse at each other. And you present a deaf person in a very respectful way.

So... what I'm trying to say ism I would be incredibly happy if this story could ever be continued. I totally understand that you might be tired of the story, or you're busy, or any other reason. I'm just saying that if you do continue, you'd have at least one fan.

Quite shame that you probably won't continue this anymore.

Let me tell you one thing: this story is a needle in a haystack. Really. It is. I've been reading a lot of hijack fanfiction and I have not once read a story where Jack is deaf. This take on things is so interesting and unique, yet rightly yours. Jack is so in character, nonetheless, and same could be said for hiccup. And slowly but surely he's beginning to realize his friendship with Jack might be deeper than he originally thought...good job astrid! :)
Please, I beg of you, don't give up on this fanfiction. I understand that school is demanding with all the homework and tests, and overall life always has something for us to worry about, but you have a gift for writing. This story is amazing. Don't give up on it.
I sincerely cannot wait for the next installment of can you hear me, and I hope you find the inspiration to continue writing soon.

You're doing such a good job so far. Oh and just to tell you, this story really reminds me of this youtube video called 'A Beautiful Thing' I think it was. It's about this boy who's an outcast at school and has a crush on this girl. One day he gets up the courage to talk to her but she's deaf and they start communicating via notebooks and become friends. He begins to learn sign language in secret to ask her out to prom snd she's working on her ability to speak. It's such a cute video, you should definitely watch it sometime if you haven't seen it :3
