Author's Note: I fancied a go at writing something from the Machine's POV. (Once more I have failed to stick to the word count for this challenge—oops, again. I just find this challenge really inspiring!) Enjoy! :)

Housekeeping Mode

/ LOCATING ADMIN [FINCH, HAROLD] . . .

/ SEEKING SURVIELANCE FEED . . .

/ CONNECTING TO WEBCAM03 . . .

VISUAL CONNECTION ESTABLISHED

A man in an expensive suit [ADMIN] has his back to the camera as he dusts a wooden bookcase with an intricate pattern. He's wearing an apron, the frilly edges the only part of it that [WEBCAM03] can see. On his hands he wears a pair of yellow rubber gloves. He pauses in his work, leans towards the bookcase as if to inspect it, and produces an aerosol can from an unseen pocket. He spritzes a section of the case a few times and returns to rubbing it with his yellow duster.

A section of a table is visible upon which rests a keyboard and another yellow duster. After a few moments a canine nose appears from below table level. In the space of three frames the duster has disappeared.

[ADMIN] turns around on the spot at the sound of skittering claws on a wooden floor, revealing the frilly apron in all its glory. He notices the empty section of table where the duster used to be.

"Oh, Bear, give that back!"

[ADMIN] leaves his gloves and duster on the table and limps out of the camera view hurriedly.

VISUAL CONNECTION LOST

AUDIO CONNECTION AVAILABLE

AUDIO ACCURACY: 94%

/ ANALYSING AUDIO . . .

"Bear! Ophouden!" There are a few moments of silence before the Dutch command is repeated once more.

"Thank you," [ADMIN] says.

VISUAL CONNECTION RE-ESTABLISHED

[ADMIN] returns into [WEBCAM03]'s field of view. With his back to the camera he attempts to fetch a treat from the box on the shelf.

The corner of the table is once again visible, the discarded gloves and duster still resting upon it. A canine nose appears from below table level, unnoticed by [ADMIN]. Within the space of three frames, one of the yellow gloves is missing.
