"How long has it been since someone last saw Grayson?" Damian snapped at Tim as the elder searched through some files on the oversized computer that hung on the wall of the BatCave. Time just ignored the annoyed child and kept trying to hack into encrypted files that were hidden in the deep confides of the computer. Dick had been missing for about two weeks now and it had everyone on edge. Especially Bruce since he knew were Dick was but hide it from the rest of them. Wherever Dick was it made Batman even more paranoid and that was a feat in and of itself.
"Steph is trying her best, but she and Cass can only keep Bruce busy for so long." Jason informed them as he came out of the elevator that came from the living room in Wayne Manor.
"Well tell FatGirl to try harder," Damian snapped. "Grayson is still missing and he is the only adequate sparing partner besides father!"
"I'm trying Demon Spawn!" Tim snapped as he slammed his fists on the keyboard. "But wherever Dick is, Bruce didn't want us to know!"
"Have you ever thought that I am keeping it from you five for a reason?" The three boys looked up and saw Bruce staring at them from the top of the stairs while Cass and Steph stood behind him while looking uncomfortable.
The three boys stared at Bruce and the older man stared back with an unwavering gaze. He knew that they worried about Dick, but what he found would just make them worried even more. Especially Damian. He might not act like it, but Dick is a very important person to him since he was the only one to give the poor kid a chance back when his mother left him. He couldn't let Damian see what happened to his brother because it would crush him as well as the rest of his adoptive children.
"Father," Damian hissed. "It was been two weeks since someone has seen Grayson! Obviously you need all the help you can get! We are very capable to-"
"I am protecting you five from learning what happened!" Bruce snapped with a voice that made the whole cave shake. "I don't care how old any of you are, but what happened to Dick is my responsibility and my responsibly alone!"
"What. Happened." Jason grounded out. "Is he dead?"
Bruce stared at his second oldest and sighed. It took a few moments before Bruce finally relented and told them. As much as he doesn't like it, he needed help from them.
"No," Bruce sighed and walked down the stairs towards the other three children. "Although it would be a mercy if he was."
"What...?" Steph whispered as her eyes widen.
"The Court of Owls kidnapped him." Silence overtook the BatCave as they waited for Bruce to continue. "Dick and I were on a mission with the Justice League not too long ago and we found it was a trap set up by them. Somehow the Court was able to separate me from Dick long enough for them to tranquilize him and take him."
Since overtook the younger vigilantes as they stared into nothing. Their big brother was kidnapped by the Court and they are doing who knows what to him. Could they be torturing Dick? Are they converting him into a Talon? What if they kill him?
Damian clenched his fists while he tried to control his breathing, but it was no use. He took deeper breaths very frequently but no matter how much air he tried to inhale he couldn't feel any enter his lungs. He knew he was starting to have a panic attack and that terrified him. Last time he had a panic attack Dick was here to calm him down, but no he wasn't. He was gone and he could lose someone who he care very deep-
"Damian," his father whispered as he put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You need to breath."
"I- I'm trying," Damian snapped. "I just-"
"Dick is the one who usually calms him down from these things." Jason explained as he demanded Tim to go get Dick's comforter. "I don't know how he does it, but maybe him having Dick's blanket will calm him down.
"I d-don't miss-"
"The hell you don't miss him," Jason hissed. "We all miss him, but you were the one who was probably closet to him."
Damian tried to tell Jason to shut up, but the words couldn't form. All that came out of his mouth was a sob and his whole body started to shake. He couldn't lose Dick, not when father hasn't fully accepted him yet. Tears streamed down the young boy's face and he flinched when he was wrapped in a soft comforter (that smelled a lot like the oldest son).
The other siblings looked at him with pity in their eyes as the young boy buried himself into the comforter. Damian might act like he is a grownup, but he is a child. A child who was pushed away and abandoned until Dick saw him for what he really was. A scared child who only wanted someone to love and accept him.
That was when they vowed to find Richard John Grayson-Wayne and bring him home, no matter what the cost.
Sweat dripped down Dick's forehead as he struggled against the chains that held him down. He was in severe pain from when they injected him with chemicals, and when he didn't stop struggling they beat him until he couldn't struggle anymore. He had to get home to his family. What if Damian thought that he left him? He wished he had told his little brothers and sisters that he loved them and that he would never leave them willingly.
"I am very shocked." Dick looked up and glared at the owner of the voice. "Even after two weeks of constant torture you are still fighting against us. Against your heritage. Your family would be ashamed, especially your grandfather."
Dick just glared at the man and didn't dignify him with a response, but he did spit at his feet. The man just glared back and kicked Dick in the stomach, which caused the man to kneel over and groan in pain.
"Now," the man said. "I am done playing games with you. Now be a good little birdie and sing."
Dick's eyes widen as the man approached him with a pair of pliers and he only thought of one word.
'Shit.'
