Author's Note

Hello there my dear readers! I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I got a couple of reason as to why I haven't gotten to it and I'm here to share them. But first…

Holy damn, it's been one year since I wrote this story and what a year it was for me. Really, this story holds a very special place in my heart because it was the one that had garner a lot of attention and the one where I felt the most comfortable writing. So really thank you all to those who read this story and stuck by it despite a lot of the missteps that I made along the way.

So, in this AN I bring to all of you three pieces of news. One of them is bad, the other is good and the last news is great.

Bad news first, if you hadn't guess it then you will know now that this story 'Heart's Oath' has come to an end. I'm discontinuing this version of the story. Why you may ask? Well two reasons, number one is more of a personal note, a conversation a while ago made me reevaluate quite a lot about myself and how I think of myself as a writer. So when I actually took a step back and began to analyze all my notes and future plans for the story and I came to a very sad and frustrating conclusion.

This story would've fallen apart when it reached a certain point. It was disheartening and frustrating…

Which brings us to the second reason as to why the story is being discontinued, and that is because I let the reviews and favorites and follows get to my head. I became too complacent with the story, more worry about the reviews and who un-followed or un-favorited my story. I realized that it wasn't like me to be like that and decided to reread the story with a careful outlook and came to the conclusion that I had rush things.

I wrote too fast, pumping out chapters at the beginning once a week and then throwing them out there without much consideration. Never realizing that a lot of those chapters may have needed another look and more consideration into me not locking myself into a certain path like I did with Oath. So because of this reasons, the story has been discontinued…But if you have been reading this, then you realized that I said this 'version of the story' was being discontinued.

Which, yes, yes this brings us to the good news! All these months I have been planning carefully and making sure to work on the rewrite of Heart's Oath. I've been working on it since the last update for this story and I will share this with all of you who have stuck up until now reading—I absolutely am loving this version a lot more, and I think you will too.

Now you may say "That's actually good news, the story isn't abandon…but, it'll take you a long time to get to it and we won't be seeing the rewrite of this story in a long time."

And to that I bring you the great news:

The rewrite of Heart's Oath has already caught up with this story. In other words, the rewrite is already on the same standing as the original version and in lesser chapters too! I would've love to have all of the Kamoshida arc done by now, but live tends to get in the way. And there's not much that can be done with that.

But wait, I actually lied about there only being three pieces of news...there's actually a fourth. And that is:

The Prologue for the rewrite of Heart's Oath, "The Oath In Our Hearts" is being published today as an indication in the direction I'm taking the story and as a way for me to celebrate actually sticking with Oath for almost an entire year. So yeah, you'll be seeing the new version of the story, I hope all of you reading this will come and accompany me along for this new ride!

Anyways, I've given you the state on how things are at the moment concerning this story. I've been working too on two other new stories and thinking about rewriting Golden Sails as well. So let's see how the remainder of this year will fare for me, heh? I just hope I don't get struck by another hurricane, seriously, that was a horrendous experience.

I would like to say thank you to all of you who read, reviewed, follow and favorited this story or myself. I am truly thankful and grateful that you would read the stories I've posted up until now. So really, thanks.

I hope to see all of you and any new readers on the rewrite of Heart's Oath.

I hope to see you all in "The Oath In Our Hearts" and any future story.

Until next time, adios.
