Hey people who decided to give my story a read. I've been wanting to do a RWBY fanfic for awhile now and I sat down thinking about a plot I'd be satisfied. I planned out the idea I had in mind, but it took longer to execute how it would carry out. I've re-done the first chapter about 5 times until I was satisfied with it. I did my best to make sure my OC strayed far from being a generic gary stu. And regarding the characters of RWBY itself, I'll do my best to depict them like they are in the show, but there may be slight ooc's sometimes. There may be some changes to a setting, place or character but not to the point where it would unintentionally change the story.

But enough of me rambling. Enjoy the read!

Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY or any of the other elements I've taken from other shows, all of them belong to their respective owners.

You know, when I decided to take a quick nap on my desk to rest from the copious amount of school work I had, I expected to wake up on said desk. Not wherever the fuck this was.

I would say I was dreaming, but the pain I got from pinching myself to check if I was, said otherwise. I was sitting in my room like twenty minutes ago, and now I'm standing in the middle of a forest in who knows where. As baffling as it was, I was somehow 'calm' in my current situation. Maybe I was still initially shocked or a part of me didn't want to fully believe it.

It's as if some sort of higher entity decided, "Yeah, let's throw some random guy into a forest and see how he fares." And I was said 'random guy'. I sighed as I shoved my head into my hands. "If this is some sort of isekai bullshit; one, why? And two, why me?" I groaned thinking of a reason why I had possibly gotten isekai'd to another world. As much as I'd like to think I was still on earth, I'm sure teleporting isn't a thing there. "I ain't no anime protagonist. As far as I know, I definitely don't have plot armor. I'm definitely not dense. I definitely don't have some sort of exaggerated tragic backstory. I'm not some shut-in otaku who stays in his room all day to play games. And I'm 100% sure I didn't get hit by some random truck." It may have been boring, but I had a normal life like everyone else. Ya know, struggling to keep up with the endless amounts of college assignments, hanging out with the boys, all that normal stuff.

"So why the fuck am I here?! I don't think a short nap would have killed me, or anybody in fact. So what the hell?!" I sighed, slouching my body forward. "Ah." I realized I still had my headphones on, and it was still playing music. "How the hell did I just notice?" I shook my head and reached in my pocket and surely enough, my phone was there. "No signal, figures." I groaned, turning the music off and shutting my phone off. I'd want to save as much battery on my phone. I'll never know if I need it for some reason. I was still in my jacket hoodie, long pants and somehow I was wearing my sneakers.

I pulled my headphones down, so it laid around my neck. As much as I hated it, I had to come to terms that I really got teleported to a forest in another world. I prioritized the most important thing I had to do. Getting the fuck out of this forest. But... "Where the hell do I even go?" Sure I could just go one way and hope for the best, but I might go further in the forest. Which is what I don't want. But, then again. There wasn't really a choice, unless I wanted to stand around like an idiot, I had to start moving.

So, just like that, I started walking in a random direction I picked. Hopefully, if I was lucky enough I'd be able to get out here in a short amount of time. If not, well, I'm fucked aren't I?

Thankfully, within what was maybe an hour I emerged out of that forest and into a small village.

It was a little uncomfortable, I didn't know why, but I was being stared at by most of the people there for some unknown reason. Was it because my clothes looked different than theirs, or the fact I had a pair of headphones on my neck? No clue.

Whatever it was, I was definitely feeling uncomfortable.

Walking around I noticed something different about some of the villagers. They had animal ears and tails sticking out of their bodies. "Yep, this ain't Earth all right." I sighed and continued walking around. I didn't really know what to do. Sure I got out of the forest, but I didn't have any money for anything or any idea how things worked around here. I could really use a drink, but then again, I had no money.

I shook my head as I tried to find a bar anyways. If I couldn't buy a drink, I could at least ask where the hell I was.

It didn't take long to find the place. After all with sign that read 'Bar' and a bunch of noisy drunk people inside, it was pretty easy to figure out which building was which. I walked in and immediately all the laughing and shouting ceased. Every and I mean every single person in the bar turned their head to look at me.

Did the people in this village have a staring problem? Cause it's fucking creepy.

"Hey," One of the drunk men stood up and walked over to me. "this isn't a place where a kid should be. Why don't you be a good boy and go back home to mommy, huh?" If I was in an anime I'm pretty sure one of those red tick marks formed on my head. Who the hell was this old drunk fart calling a kid? I'm 21 for Christ's sake! Then again, he is taller than me. I'm pretty sure I'm at least 183 centimeters tall. Were the people on this world that freakishly tall? I'm sure I would have noticed when I was walking around earlier.

"Hah? The hell do you mean 'kid', old man? I'm old enough to be in a fucking bar." I said, clearly annoyed.

The man in front of me blinked a couple times looking surprised. I noticed the rest of the men behind him were doing the same. Alright, now this is really starting to get uncomfortable. Am I missing something or do these people really have some sort of 'problem'.

"Look kid," He deadpanned, "I'm not sure what you would want to do in a bar or where you picked up that foul language from, but you should probably go home before your parents get worried about you."

I could feel my eye twitching now. He was talking to me like I was some sort of fucking elementary school student.

"Listen buddy, as much as I would love to go home I need a place to sit down and think. And honestly, I'd rather be in a bar than be outside where it feels depressing as shit. So, if you could just leave me alone, that'd be nice." I glared at him, clearly telling him I was feeling annoyed and disturbed with my tone.

The man blinked once more before trying to put a hand on my shoulder, which I quickly slapped away. He was startled and his friends got up and walked our way.

"Look, you really need to get out before we make you." One of the other men said.

I folded my arms and raised an eyebrow. "And if I don't want to?"

Immediately, one of the men came up to me and tried to pick me up. I say tried because I obviously stopped him. With all the drunk fights I had drinking out with the boys, you'd obviously want to learn how to fight properly.

I grabbed the man's arm before swiftly turning it around to where his back was, and pushed him down onto his knees with my other hand on his neck. The other men were shocked and stared at me like I was dead meat. I mean I'd be pretty pissed too if someone did that to one of my friends. They came at me looking all pissed off.

I kicked their friend I had in the arm twist down, making one of them trip and fall. The first guy who walked up to me threw a punch, but I pushed his arm aside before it landed and used my other hand to push down on his bicep. I then used my foot to hook behind his and swiftly pulled back, making him fall down. The last guy came charging at me with his arm reeled back for a punch. I felt a small smile form on my face as I dodged it by stepping to the side. The man was somehow surprised that I dodged his obvious attack and tried again. Just like the last guy, I pushed his arm out of the way but instead of trying to trip him, I grabbed his arm with both hands turned around and flung him over my shoulder, slamming him onto the ground with a loud thud.

"I guess those Judo classes with my uncle worked out after all." I mentally pat myself on the back.

Sure they were bigger than me, but they were drunk. And I knew a thing or two about fighting while being drunk, so it was quite easy to deal with them. I let out another huff and looked around at the other people who were sitting down.

"Anyone else want to check if I'm a fucking child?!" I glared at all of them.

Thankfully most of them turned their heads away and some even pretended like it never happened and continued drinking.

I sighed in relief and made my way to sit in front of the bartender who stared at me weirdly.

"You sure you aren't a kid?" He raised an eyebrow, which in turn made me do the same. "Would a child be able to fling an oversized grown man over his shoulder like that?" I said jabbing my thumb at the pile of drunk men, who were slowly recovering behind me.

"I guess not." He turned back to clean a glass before setting it down. "What would you like to have?"

"Huh, this guy's not bad." I thought as I remembered I had no money. "I'd love to get a drink, but unfortunately I'm broke. I am however, looking to ask some questions. Free of charge of course." I said cupping my cheek with one of my hands.

"That depends, what kind of questions." The bartender narrowed his eyes as if I was going to ask something super suspicious or something. "Well, for starters. I'd like to know where the hell I am. Kinda just woke up in a forest without knowing how I got there."

He raised an eyebrow again in surprise, but didn't ask about it.

"Anima."

"Anima?" My face looked flabbergasted. "The fuck is that?"

The bartender looked at me as if I was retarded, but answered my question anyways.

"Mistral."

Mistral? Now where have I heard that from before? It definitely sounded familiar but where did I hear it from?

"And Mistral is in?"

"Remnant." The bartender now looked at me convinced that I hit my head or something.

Wait a minute. Remnant?

.

.

.

"Oh God." I slapped both hands onto my face. "I got transported into the world of RWBY. I guess that explains the people with the animal traits from earlier. But, how the fuck did this happen? And out of all the worlds, why RWBY? Why the one where an ex couple are waging war against each other with humanity on the line? Why couldn't I have been sent to like a slice of life world?" I cursed mentally as I pinched the bridge of my nose.

The more I thought about it, the more my brain hurt.

Now what the hell am I supposed to do? Sure I watched and liked the show, but I'm not a die-hard fan who knows like almost everything about it. I don't know how the hell this world works. How the hell am I suppose to live in it? How far was I from canon? Should I even intervene with the story? Why would I intervene in the story and how would I even do that? I'm just a normal aura-less human. And again, as far as I know. I'm not some anime protagonist or a fanfiction one at that.

"You alright there buddy?" The bartender asked, wondering why I had slapped myself in the face.

"Just peachy." I replied getting of my seat. "Thanks for answering my questions." He nodded and I got out of the bar.

I didn't know what was wrong now, but the moment I left the bar, a bunch of people were running the opposite direction from where they were. I was confused and looked at why or what they were running from. "You've got to be fucking kidding me..." In the distant I could see what looked like bandits with their obvious weapons in hand running it down and breaking into buildings. How the hell did no one hear the screaming?

"Get the men! We need to fight off the bandits!" Some guy said alerting the other villagers.

The bunch load of people inside the bar came rushing out too, all running away.

"Oh gee, I wonder what could go wrong next?"

As if on cue, one of the bandits with his dagger in hand walked up in front of me. "Me and my big mouth." I facepalmed.

"Alright kid, if you fork over whatever you got now, I'll promise not to kill you. Although, I'm not sure about the others might do." He grinned like a lunatic.

Again with the 'kid'. Why the hell was everyone calling me that? I got annoyed again, and since I definitely didn't want to give up the only thing I had that had value which was my phone, I was going to kick this guy's ass.

I'm pretty sure the bandit was feeling pretty confident, because he didn't expect the 'kid' in front of him to twist his arm around without having any time to react. Just like with the men in the bar, I held the bandit in the same arm hold. I gripped his wrist making him drop his dagger. I raised my free arm and swung at his head.

*BANG*

I was hoping that the bandit didn't have aura, but of course he did. My fist shook and bounced back a little like I just hit a wall. I'm not sure if I managed to knock him out, but I was sure that he was pissed off.

He shook his head and growled. "Why you little shit! I'm gonna kill you!"

Alright, definitely pissed.

I quickly kicked him to the ground and picked up his dagger. While he did have aura, I'm pretty sure having a sharp object would help me defend myself. I wasn't gonna kill him, I'd just poke him in places where shouldn't be poked.

"Damn, why did this all have to happen one after another?" I questioned myself.

He got up pretty quick and turned around to see me armed with his dagger.

I didn't know if the stereotype of bandit grunts being stupid was true, but the guy was charging at me like a man with brain damage. Sure, he had aura. But with enough poking, I'm sure it'll disappear.

I easily dodged his attack and got behind him. Within seconds, I reached the guy's back and brought the dagger down with full force.

*CRACK*

*SHINK*

"Bingo." His aura broke and the dagger went into his back causing him to scream in pain. I didn't expect his aura to break this fast or easily. He must have had a pretty low amount of aura then.

"You fucking piece of shit!" He yelled in pained.

I took the dagger as fast as I stabbed it in and punched him with my other hand knocking him down long enough for me to get away.

I flicked my hand in pain. Aura really did feel like an invisible wall.

"Jesus Christ, where the hell do I even run to?!" I ran as chaos ensued behind me. People were getting slaughtered, and the people who were fighting back looked like they were having a hard time. I needed to get the hell out of here quick if I wanted to live. Dealing with bandits was one thing, but dealing with them without aura? That was a death-wish.

I didn't get too far before another one of the bandits showed up and stopped me in my tracks.

"Hey now kid, you shouldn't be running around with a knife." He said charging at me with his in hand.

"Another one?" I clicked my tongue. I threw the dagger at him which made him stop to hit it away with his own. He was baffled that I threw the dagger and it gave me enough time to run up to him and sucker punched him in the face with my right hand as I grabbed his arm that held his dagger with my left.

His head flew back and I twisted his arm back and pushed him down violently. A loud cracking sound could be heard coming from his arm, I probably dislocated it somehow. I thought aura was supposed to be some sort of force field or something, so why the hell did it break so easily?

Whatever, now wasn't the time to be questioning how the fuck aura works. It was time to get the hell out of this damn village. With all this panicking and chaos, I'm sure the grimm would show up.

I quickly grabbed my dagger that he hit away and started running again.

I made it away by like about nine feet before I was surrounded by three bandits. This time one of them had a crossbow, and I had no idea how the hell I was going to deal with that. And in the first place, why the hell are they chasing after one guy! There's a shit ton of other people in this village to rob you know!

"I don't know how a kid like you managed to knock Red and Blue down back there. But don't think you'll get away this time."

"Seriously? Red? Blue? I know RWBY had a thing about naming their characters to sound like colors, but seriously? How fucking plain was that? And again, what the hell is up with the 'kid' thing?!" I questioned myself mentally before returning my attention to the three bandits.

No matter how hard I thought, there wasn't a real possible way for me to get out of this unharmed. I dropped the dagger and raised my hands up.

"Heh, good. At least you know when to give up." I scoffed as they made their way to me to grab whatever they deemed valuable from me. They must have been real idiots, because the person with the crossbow was in front of the other two. "Let's hope all those self defense classes against armed assailants I took with my cousin paid off."

As soon as crossbow guy was close enough, I grabbed his arm and pushed the crossbow to the side and slapped down with my other hand so he'd let go. It worked somehow, and I pointed the now newly acquired crossbow in hand at them. I kicked the now weaponless bandit in the knee away, making him fall down. The other two were vary but they were still confident.

I'm sure I got lucky with the other two earlier, so I knew that the only shot I had wouldn't be able to break their aura. But it would be enough if I did this correctly. One wrong move and I'd be dead.

I aimed it towards one of their heads and they flinched in surprised. I pulled the trigger and it launched at the guy's head. He closed his eyes in fear, but like I predicted, the bolt bounced off. However, it gave me enough time to act. I swooped down to pick the dagger I just dropped and charged at the attacked bandit. He was still recovering from the shot and didn't expect me to slam the crossbow down on him with one hand, while my other hand tried to stab his stomach.

He fell to the ground, but his aura blocked the knife from sinking in. I still had the other guy to be worried about, so I kicked the downed bandit in the head as hard as I could hoping to knock him out. I then turned to the last one standing as he started charging at me with his blade.

I barely had time to react, but manage to put the crossbow in the way of his blade. It sunk into the crossbow and I took this moment to sweep his legs, making him fall as well. But the first guy already got up and held me from behind.

"Alright punk! Time for some payback."

He pushed me to the ground making me drop both crossbow and dagger. He sat on top of me as he began punching me. I was able to react somehow and grabbed his fist before it landed another punch to my bruised face.

I mustered all my strength and pushed him off. He flipped over and it was my time to begin wailing on him. I slammed my fists into the poor guy's face. Pretty sure I bruised him more than he did me even though he had aura. After I was done the bandit's face looked cartoonishly swelled up.

There was still the other guy who lost his dagger in the crossbow, and I'm sure he wasn't out.

I got off the guy I just beat up and turned to the last bandit. He was visibly pissed.

"Who the hell thought you to fight, kid?!"

He charged at me, but I saw the crossbow just next to my foot and quickly grabbed it off the ground. Turning back to the charging bandit, I swung the crossbow as hard as I could at his face.

*BAM*

He fell over and that was when I took the chance and started booking it for the third time.

"Holy shit that was close! I actually almost died there!" I was sweating nervously. "Now time to-!"

I felt something hard hit me in the back of the head, as I began to fall forward, slowly losing my consciousness.

"Son...of...a..."

I groaned in pain as I woke up. I opened my eyes as my blurry vision slowly cleared. "I must have been hit pretty hard, my head feels like I just got hit by a truck." As my vision returned to normal, I realized my hands were tied behind me and that my headphones that laid on my neck were gone too. The bulge where my phone was, was also gone.

"Great, I got captured by a bunch of bandits." I clicked my tongue. "Why the hell aren't I dead. Well, I guess I should be grateful they didn't kill me... not yet anyways."

I was in some sort of cage covered by a huge sheet of cloth. "Well, I definitely feel like an animal."

"Looks like you're up." I heard a voice as the sheet was pulled away. My jaw nearly hit the ground when I saw who it was. "You've really got to be fucking with me now..." Of all the people in Rwby, of all of them. It had to be the Raven fucking Branwen. "Well, I'm fucked. I pray to the Lord, Jesus Christ for a swift death."

She stood in front of me, signature red and black dress with the mask on and everything. She definitely looked like how she was depicted in the show.

"I heard you gave some of my men some trouble. Pretty impressive for a kid."

My eyebrow twitched at the word 'kid', seriously, "Why the fuck does everyone keep calling me a kid?" Even with her mask on, I could tell Raven raised an eyebrow.

"A foul-mouthed one as well." She put her hand on the cage and glared at me. "So tell me, how does a kid know how to fight back against a bunch of thieves and murderers? With no aura too."

I scoffed. "And why the hell should I tell you that?" Why the hell did I just say that?! Did I have some kind of death wish I wasn't aware of or something?!

"Hmm.." My blood ran cold as fear began to slowly take over.

*BANG*

She slammed her foot on the bars of the cage, shaking it. I flinched startled at the sudden kick.

"You should answer me. Unless you want to end up dead." She glared at me.

Christ is she fucking scary and intimidating. As much as I'd like to get out of this alive, I wasn't going to suck up to Raven Branwen of all people. No matter how terrified I was. Honestly disliked her in the show for the things she did. "My chances of getting out of here are slim to none. Well then, I'll just be as annoying to deal with as possible." A little grin popped up in the back of my mind as I got ready for was maybe my last moments.

"If you were going to kill me, I wouldn't be awake right now." I deadpanned. Oh boy, was I about to regret that.

In mere seconds, Raven's hand shot out and grabbed my neck.

"Geh-" I gripped on her arm with both of my hands, but it felt like my throat was going to be crushed by her sheer strength. "Jesus, how fucking ripped is this woman?!"

"I would advise you to cooperate if you want to live." She let go of her gorilla strength grip, allowing me to breathe. I rubbed my neck in pain and glared at her.

"Were you that surprised that they got their ass whooped? They fought like they suffered from brain damage or something. Who the hell even thought them how to fight? Must have been a joke of a teacher. Cause all they know how to do is run in a straight line with a weapon."

Raven was taken aback at what I said.

Oh God, was she the one who trained them? Did I just call her a joke? I don't know if I should laugh, or pray for a quicker death.

Her hand shot out again and grabbed the collar of my jacket. Her eyes grew into dangerous slits as she glared at me. That fear that was creeping on me earlier, suddenly felt like it covered my entire body. I wouldn't be lying if I said I wouldn't piss myself if this continued.

*THANG*

I hit the back of the cage as she threw me down. "Ugh-!" She stood straight and I was pretty sure she had a scowl hidden behind her mask.

"Well if you have to know," I winced in pain, "I was obviously thought how to defend myself. You never know when you have to fight back against simple-minded attackers." I finished shooting her a glare of my own.

"Hm, and who thought you to fight?" She folded her arms, but I could still feel that piercing stare of hers.

I scoffed again, "You obviously have something else you want to say. So let's just cut the small talk and skip to why the hell you even bothered keeping me alive."

Raven laughed softly. "Never thought I'd see the day when Raven Branwen of RWBY would laugh in front of me." My eyes narrowed a little. "Alright, maybe I dug my grave a little sooner than expected. Maybe I shouldn't have acted smart."

"You're sharp. You don't usually see that in normal kids." Again with the 'kid', when is it going to stop? "Alright, I'll cut to the chase. You're strong. You managed to fight off a group of my men who were armed and had aura, while you didn't" She paused, "I'm not sure exactly how you managed to beat them,"

"I got lucky."

I cut her off but she ignored it. It was true anyways.

"But the fact is, you beat my men aura-less. And as much as I don't want to admit, it certainly worries me." Oh? I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. This ought to be interesting. "The fact that a aura-less child beat my men irritates me. So, I'll give you an offer. Join my tribe. I can help you grow stronger."

Wow this was like a generic scene in an anime. The one where the bad guy asks the hero to join them or die, and then the hero would decline and somehow beat the shit out of the bad guy's ass. But in my case, I didn't have that third option. It was join her or die.

"Don't you think I have a home to return to?" I scoffed.

"By now, that village is either in ruins or overrun by the grimm." She replied fast.

A few seconds passed by filled with silence before I let out a laugh. Apparently it surprised Raven, cause I could see her flinch even if it was very subtle.

I grinned. "Let's say I do take your offer. What's the catch? There can't possibly be such a good reward without a risk after all." I finished glaring at her again.

"You catch on fast," I was sure she had a smug grin behind her mask. "Although you did beat my men, they certainly weren't my best."

"Of course." I rolled my eyes.

"So I'll have you face off with a stronger opponent. If you win, you can gladly stay. And if you lose. Well, I'm sure you know what will happen. You're smart after all."

Alright now I was more annoyed than scared.

"Vernal!"

My eyes widened in shock. "Are you shitting me?! Vernal?! That fucking confident piece of shit?! How the hell am I supposed to beat her?! I'm as good as dead!"

Said girl, walked out of nowhere and stood next to Raven. She said nothing, only nodding at Raven and looked back at me. "Is it just me, or does she look younger than she looked in the show?" I thought while observing her.

"Are you sure about this? I don't see the reason why we haven't killed him like the others yet." She had a confident look in her face. "Cocky prick." I let out a low growl which Raven noticed.

She took off her mask as I finally got to look at the shit-eating grin that was on her face.

"I can assure you, Vernal. If I didn't see potential in him, he wouldn't even be here."

Vernal had a questionable look on her face but dismissed it.

"You'll be fighting hand-to-hand," Raven turned her head back at me. "You lack aura, so I doubt you would be able to even last a second against Vernal."

"Well, no shit." I growled.

Vernal threw a glare at me as if saying, "How dare you talk like that.", or probably something along those lines. Raven's grin just grew wider as unlocked the cage.

"Come on, show me what you've got." She turned around, leading us to a place where Vernal and I would fight.

I groaned and got out of the cage, making my way out as well.

"If I really want to win, I'm going to have to play as dirty as possible. As it is, this fight was more than unfair. She had aura, I didn't. She's killed, I haven't. Sure I learned how to fight, but I lacked any real experience. I'm pretty sure bar fights don't count. So the only way I was going to win, was by cheating. And I'll cheat as much as I'll have to. I'd die otherwise. And I don't want to die here." I thought as I formed my own grin on my face.

Apparently, Vernal was already ready. How did I know? She was cracking her knuckles like she was going to give me the worst beat down in my life. And she would. I stood across her and put my fists up.

"Are you both ready?" Raven asked, her arms on her hips.

Both Vernal and I nodded.

The confident brunette moved first. She was fast and I wouldn't be able to dodge in time. I put my arms up as her fist collided with my forearm. It hurt more than I expected. I was pushed back and she didn't give me time to breathe. Immediately, she raised her other fist and brought it down. Just before it could hit me, I pushed her wrist away using my forearm. I hooked the back of her foot with my own and shot out my arm at her neck. She tripped like I intended but she grabbed my hand before it reached it's destination.

"Nice try." She said, the cocky smile still on her face.

I gasped as she flipped me over her shoulder and slammed me into the ground with a loud thud.

Talk about deja vu.

I gasped for air as the impact felt like I had just cracked my back, which I hoped didn't happen. Before I could recover, Vernal was already ready with her next barrage of attacks. She kicked me in the stomach causing me to roll on the the ground.

"Gah-!"

She grabbed the back of my jacket and pulled me up to knee my stomach. Spit shot out of my mouth as the pain surged through my body once more. She kicked my chest sending me flying back onto the ground.

"I told you he was weak." She turned to face Raven but she didn't say anything. Instead she just looked at me on the ground. I snarled as I clenched my fist. "Who said it was over, prick..." I got up with one hand on my stomach, clearly limping.

Vernal had an annoyed look in her face as she charged back at me. Just before she could throw any punch or kick, I threw the dirt in my hand I grabbed when I balled up my fist, at her face.

It paid off since she winced in pain. The dirt hit her eyes. "I guess aura doesn't protect you from dirt." I smirked.

This was the only and last chance I had. I rushed up to her grabbing her throat before getting behind her and held her in a choke hold. I felt her aura block me from fully making contact with her skin. It was like a very thing layer of armor, but that didn't stop me from choking her.

She growled, gasping for air, relentlessly elbowing my stomach she had already hit hard twice. I didn't let go though, I couldn't afford to. I threw myself backwards on the ground as I strengthened my grip. Now she was really gasping for air. Her arms violently grabbed mine, but I wouldn't budge. Her aura was still up, I doubted I'd be able to break it. However, I was sure she could still feel the pain nonetheless.

"You still feeling cocky?!" I asked as I further strengthened my grip.

My ribs, chest and stomach, ached with pain but I couldn't stop. Not unless I wanted to live. I could see Vernal's face turn a little purple. It was working alright.

At that moment, Raven stepped in and forced us apart.

"That's enough." She looked over at Vernal who was coughing, finally being able to breathe in air. Then she returned her gaze at me with a smile. "Looks like you've shown your worth."

I held my ribs as I spat on the ground. My body was in pain all right. It was throbbing all over and any movement I made seemed to bring more pain.

"Although, you did play dirty." Raven folded her arms and I let out a chuckle.

"When your life is on the line, you'll do anything to win. Be it cheat or play dirty. I'm not strong enough so I have to make it up with cheap tricks."

The black haired woman smirked and let out a small laugh.

"That's a good look in your eyes."

I scowled at her before managing to get back up on my feet.

"I assume that offer you gave me is good to go?"

"Why of course." She turned around and headed towards the biggest tent; probably hers. "Welcome to the Branwen Tribe."

As her figure disappeared inside the tent, I let out rasped breaths and I collapsed from the pain.

A days passed since I had my 'initiation' against Vernal. Apparently I was passed out for the rest of that day and I was still healing from the bruises Vernal had given me. I had no aura so it was obvious I'd take longer to heal. Vernal was fine after couple of minutes after our fight. Sure she was held in a choke hold, but I didn't land any good hits nor did I manage to lower her aura enough so that she'd need immediate rest. My chest was wrapped in bandages, thankfully my ribs were fine but it still hurt to move a little.

How the hell did this even happen in a span of a day; the day I spent sleeping and resting didn't count. I wake up in a forest, find my way out of said forest, have a bar brawl, fight some bandits, get dragged into their base by the bandit leader to fight another bandit. I don't like how fast all of this happened. What's next? I'm going to have to fight them on a daily basis?

"You're awake, good. I was wondering how long you panned on sleeping." Raven walked into the tent I was resting in with Vernal. I could see the scowl she gave me. Guess she was still mad about the choke hold.

"Last I remembered, I had no aura. So I'd say the amount of time I rested is justified." I deadpanned, sitting upright on the bed I was laying in.

"You took so long to wake up I thought you were going to die just like that." Vernal mocked with a grin, but I just rolled my eyes.

"Since you're finally up, let's get introductions out of the way. I forgot to ask you when you woke up yesterday." Raven folded her arms.

I did wonder why, she didn't ask for my name until now. I was up yesterday and she did come in to give me some food and whatnot.

If I remembered correctly, most if not all of RWBY's characters name had some sort of relation to a color. Sure I could go with my birth name, but I felt like Ezel wasn't a name I wanted to keep. I mean the word literally meant donkey and or ass. Why the hell did my parents even name me that? I shook my head and thought for a few quick seconds, before opening my mouth.

"Ryver, Ryver Bael." Why did that come out of my mouth? I'm not quite sure. I could have picked a better 'colored' name but Ryver was the first thing that popped into my head. It obviously came from the word River and why was my last name Bael?

Well, before I took the nap that would somehow send me into the world of Remnant. I was re-watching the fight between the Bael and Kimaris Vidar from Iron Blooded Orphans. I guess it stuck to me since I couldn't believe that the Bael actually lost to the Kimaris. I mean yeah, plot reasons. But still. In my opinion McGillis should have won. But back to the point, I guess these were the two words that stuck and came into mind.

"Ryver Bael. A unique name." Raven mused for a bit before speaking again. "Raven Branwen," She paused as we looked each other in the eye. "That's my name, and you've met Vernal." She gestured to said girl who just sent another glare my way.

"Hm, I guess your the big boss huh? Seeing as your last name and the name of the tribe are the same." Of course I already knew this, but I said it for the sake of it.

The black haired woman nodded before looking at the table next to me. My phone and headphones laid on it.

"Those two things were the only thing on you when we searched your body. I know what the headphones are, but what's that black rectangular device? Is it a hard drive?" She raised an eyebrow as I kept myself from laughing. I didn't think I'd see the day when someone referred to an Iphone as a black rectangular device.

"No, it's a music player," I lied, "Hence, the headphones."

She nodded once more.

"Well, since you're up. I think we should fix that aura-less problem of yours."

My eyes widened. "Seriously? Just like that? I'll have someone unlock my aura for me? I was expecting like some sort of deus ex machina, but then again, this ain't no show, well not anymore anyway. This was reality. Something I honestly still didn't want to accept." I tilted my head.

"You can do that?"

This time Vernal rolled her eyes as if she was saying, "Well, obviously. If she couldn't why would she bring it up in the first place."

"Yes, now-"

*Growl*

The sound of my hungry stomach cut her off. I hadn't eaten in two days so I was pretty hungry.

"Maybe I could eat something first? Sleeping for two days straight, does make me hungry." I chuckled awkwardly.

Raven looked over to Vernal who got the message and got out of the tent to get some food. To be honest, I was afraid she might poison my food over the choke hold I put her in.

Raven sat down in front of me and crossed her legs.

"I'm surprised you're so calm."

I blinked in confusion.

"What do you mean?"

She raised an eyebrow as she now folded her arms under her chest. "You were in your village just two days ago and now it's in ruins and most if not all of the people there are dead. Then I dragged you all the way to my camp to get beat up by Vernal and offered you to join me or die. Aren't you at least upset or angry about what happened to your family or what I might have done to you?"

I blinked again. Was this really the Raven I knew from the show? I don't think she would have given a shit like if I was worried about something or not. It felt weird but I decided not to question it.

I scoffed, "No point grieving over the dead. There was nothing I could do anyways, and yeah obviously I was scared when I woke up tied up in the cage. But all that matters to me is that I'm alive right now. I don't think I'd be happy if I was dead." I looked down at my hands and noticed something off about them.

Raven gave me another surprised look. "Hm, for a kid, you sure are unfazed by the lost of your village."

I felt my eye twitch. I understood now. I understood why the hell everyone was calling me a kid, and why Vernal looked younger than she should have been. "I fucking aged backwards? What kind of fanfiction bullshit is this?" It was no wonder why I felt the men from the bar were like giants. Now that I thought about it, even Raven seemed to tower over me.

But the more important question was, how much did I age back? I was 21 so did I go back to being a 15 year old or something? Because my hands definitely resembled the ones of a child.

I turned back at Raven and shrugged. She was about to say something again but Vernal returned with a plate of food. She gave it to me with the same glare I saw awhile ago. "I have a feeling this is going to be something I'll have to get used to."

I shoved the piece of bread down my throat as I gobbled down whatever Vernal had put on the plate. I was too hungry to pay attention if the two people in front of me said anything. I hit my chest as I swallowed the last of whatever was in my mouth down. I let out a satisfied hum and turned back to Raven.

She got up and stood next to me. "Now that you've eaten, it's time to unlock your aura."

I turned my body to face her and she put a hand onto my shoulder. "Close your eyes and concentrate." I did so without replying and immediately I felt something flow through me from her hand. It was warm and it filled my body, it was relaxing.

"For it is in risk that we gain survival. Through this, we become a paragon of duty and sacrifice to outlast all others. Infinite in reach and unbound by ties, I release your soul, and by my hand, set thee free." Raven chanted like Pyrrha did for Jaune. She took her hand off and I opened my eyes.

I could see the outline of her red aura and looked at my own body, noticing a dark violet color. "Huh, I guess that's my aura's color." It was slow, but my bruises were healing at a faster speed. My aura was already kicking in and doing it's job. I placed a hand on my chest and felt that warm sensation again. The color faded and I took a deep breath.

"Looks like your aura is already kicking in." I snapped my head back to look at Raven who had returned to her seat. "You surprised me again, I wasn't expecting you to have such a huge amount of aura. It's quite rare."

My eyes widened a bit, intrigued. "Damn, didn't think I would have a huge amount. I would have been perfectly happy to just have it unlocked."

"I see, thank you for unlocking my aura."

Raven grinned before standing up again. "Now that you have aura, we'll start your training immediately."

My face fell flat. "So this was why she did it. What was I thinking, it was the Raven Branwen we're talking about. Of course she did things for a reason."

"I'm still recovering from my bruises though." I tried to delay the inevitable.

Raven wasn't taking any excuses. "The amount of aura you yield will heal you in just enough time. When you're ready to go, we'll be busy sparring." She left the tent and Vernal gave me a smirk before leaving as well.

"Jesus, maybe I would have been better dead." I joked as I reached for my phone. "I should probably ask if they have any stolen scrolls. Maybe I could transfer the data from my phone."

I sat in the bed for awhile longer, letting my aura do it's job while I thought about what I just experienced after waking up from my nap.

I removed my bandages before falling back onto the bed and sighed. "What the hell did I do to get into this mess? Guess I really have to do this, huh? Where do I even start? I've been taken into the Branwen Tribe, but do I mess with the timeline? Speaking of which, when even was I in the timeline. I know I aged back but how far? And how old were the main cast anyways? Honestly if I had to guess, I'd say somehow I would be around the age of RWBY and co."

I looked at my reflection on my phones screen. It wasn't clear, but it was good enough for me to know. "Well, I'll be damned." Looking at my reflection, thankfully, my looks was the same. My hair black in color and was long but not too long, my bangs fell forward to and below my nose.

The only thing different was that I looked exactly like I was when I was 15. "Didn't think my guess would be so accurate. I guess that explains why I'm so short. I didn't hit that grow spurt when I was 16." I turned my head and saw I still kept my piercings too.

I sighed and sat back up. "I'll worry about whether I should be messing with the timeline or not later. As I am now, I'd be useless in a real fight, here on Remnant."

Yeah, if I were to assume that canon still has yet to take place, I have time to get beat into shape by Raven. When the time comes, I'll ask myself whether I should interfere with the story again. I doubt joining Raven's little tribe would affect the timeline. Right?

About fifty minutes later, my bruises felt completely healed. "Aura really is convenient, huh?" I rolled my shoulders and got off the bed and walked out the tent to look for Raven. It didn't take too long to find the biggest and obvious tent that was Raven's.

"Raven?" I called out since I couldn't knock. I didn't want to suddenly pop into her tent without her permission. Even if I was accepted into the tribe, I'm sure she'd beat me up for doing things unannounced.

When I was making my way to her tent I saw the bunch I had beaten glaring daggers at me. "Of course not everyone would be okay with me suddenly joining." I shook my head as Raven finally emerged from her tent, a sword in one of her hands.

She threw it at me which I caught abruptly. "I thought I was going to be doing hand-to-hand?" I raised an eyebrow as she lead me to an area where we would spar.

"I left Vernal with that task," I gulped and worried about how badly Vernal was going to 'train' me, now that I had aura. "You do need to improve your hand-to-hand, however, you're going to need other skills if you're going to stay here."

I grimaced at the thought of the upcoming agonizing days where she'd beat me into shape. It reminded me too much of when my uncle thought me Judo and other self defense techniques. The memories of getting thrown around like a rag doll surfaced and I could only wince at the thought.

"So, how is this going to work?" I asked as she unsheathed her katana, pointing it at me.

"Simple, you're going to come at me with your blade and we'll just continue from there."

I grimaced again. I'm not entire sure how this was going to work out for me. The only knowledge I had about swords, were from video games and shows I watched.

It would be stupid to think I could apply what I saw into real life, but I didn't really think I had that choice.

Simple strikes weren't going to work against someone like Raven, she had way too much experience and the gap between us was very large. But what else could I do? I thought for awhile before bringing the blade in front of me and readied myself.

I charged at her with the blade raised in the air. As I brought it down, the moment I saw her react to the attack I changed my swing into a 'c' to catch her off guard. She parried it easily as expected, and struck me on my side, pushing me back a little. My aura blocked the attack from actually cutting me, but I could still feel the pain it brought.

"Is that all you've got?" She taunted.

Raven stepped forward with her own attack which I responded by bringing up my blade with both hands to block it. However, I found myself struggling to keep up with the endless amount of slashes she threw at me.

I could only block abruptly and get hit several times. She raised her katana up and brought it down swiftly. I managed to back off from the subsequent strike, but I was caught off-guard as she thrusted her blade forwards.

I raised my own blade from under to hit hers, somehow parrying the attack. I hit her in the shoulder before both of us backed off. She had a grin on her face while I was panting from the endless barrage of attacks she'd given me.

"Try again."

I recovered quickly and glared at her, taking a huge rasped breath charging at her once more.

I had my free hand stretched out in front of me and my blade behind, looking as if I was going for a thrust. Before I reached her, I changed my stance, skidding on the ground while I swung the blade up from down. She blocked it easily again but I didn't stop there. I took this chance and kicked her in the stomach pushing her back in surprise by the sudden hit. "I'm going to regret doing that later."

I grimaced as I brought my blade down on her again. Our swords clashed making a loud 'clang' sound. I felt the force of us pushing against each other as I grit my teeth.

I pushed myself back using the force, before using my foot to stop myself from going back further and pushed back forward. I swung the blade with all my might diagonally.

In a swift moment, Raven hit my sword back which pushed it away from my body. My eyes couldn't keep up nor did my reflexes, as she returned the kick I sent her earlier. I crashed onto the ground with a thud as the blade fell out of my hand.

"Hm, not too bad. You obviously need some work, but I'm sure you'll learn in no time." Raven swung her blade in the air before readying it again. "Pick up your blade, we're far from done."

I groaned as I complied and got up. "I feel like that hit I got on you was through sheer luck, even though you're holding back so much."

"Well at least you can tell." A smile crept up her face.

"Well obviously," I deadpanned. "I wouldn't last a second if you fought seriously."

She scoffed and motioned her finger.

"Enough chit chat. Come at me again."

After a relenting two hours that felt longer than it should have, I finally finished sparring against Raven.

I got my ass beat continuously throughout the whole spar, but I was very slowly getting used to parrying and what not.

According to Raven, my movement was too sluggish and clumsy and my attacks were too simple and predictable. She said simple attacks were fine, but they couldn't be too simple. I didn't understand but nodded at her words.

My reaction timing needed some work too. I was far too slow to react to most of her strikes. But that was a given.

I mean there was absolutely no way I could fair against someone like her even if I dreamed. The difference between us was as I said; very large. I was but a student who occasionally fought drunk people at a bar, while she grew up learning how to kill. It was like comparing a toddler to a veteran soldier.

I had finally come to terms with this whole 'transported to another world' thing, and honestly, I wasn't bothered by it as when I first was. I was the type of person who didn't care too much about things that happened to me or around me. If it benefited me, then I wouldn't argue about it. If it didn't, then and only then would I act out. It was how I always was and always will be.

I would be lying right now if I said I didn't miss my family and friends on earth. But there was no point thinking about it. Now that I was stuck in this world I could only do what would help me live. I highly doubted there was a way back home, but I wasn't completely hopeless.

Raven gave me little time as she brought me to Vernal to start sparring with her.

"I don't think I'm not getting a long enough break." I rubbed the back of my head.

"If you can complain, then you can spar." Raven retorted before turning to Vernal. "I'll let Vernal take over now, I have other things to attend to."

I rolled my eyes, "I'm gonna guess that this will be my daily routine from now on?" I asked but the woman just smirked and left.

I sighed and returned my attention back to Vernal who was cracking her knuckles again. "You certainly seem happy." I said bluntly and she scoffed.

"You're only here because you threw dirt in my eyes."

"Someone's a sore loser." I teased with a cheeky grin.

Her glare intensified and she readied her fists. "Since, you have aura now I'll be holding back less. Don't expect this to go like how it did last time."

I groaned once more and readied my own fists. She lunged forward and threw a right hook which I dodged with no problem. My reaction time may have needed some work, but the extra sensory reflexes my aura gave me helped a little. I crunched down and landed a clean hit on her abdomen. She grunted and brought both her fists onto my back and kicked me away.

I grunted as I recovered from her kick. Vernal lunged forward again, bending down into a sweep kick. I threw my own leg in her direction in time, surprising her.

Our foots hit each other before I backed off to get some room. I leaped forward with my fists reeled back and was suddenly flipped over Vernal's shoulder. I landed shocked, I didn't even see it coming.

"I told you. This isn't going to go down like the last time."

I scoffed and got up, immediately dashing towards her again. I went down going on my own leg sweep. She bounced back avoiding it, but I used the momentum from my sweep to propel me closer to her.

I winded my right arm back for a punch which she responded by raising both hands up in an 'x'. However, I didn't hit her with my right fist. She was exposed and I quickly changed my momentum from my right to my left fist, punching her in the stomach. She spat out and winced.

"Are you sure about that?"

Vernal took that moment to grab my wrists and proceeded to ram her knee into my chest. I spat out this time as we distanced ourselves.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Another cocky grin formed on her face as her body shot out once more. I shot forward with my fist cocked back.

*WHAM*

Both our fists met with our cheeks. Our eyes locked as we pushed back against each others cheeks.

"Lucky shot." She said in a mumbled voice.

"I could say the same thing."

We backed off before trading blows again. It went on and on until we both stood with rasped breaths. I had a large amount of aura that tanked hits sure, but it didn't prevent me from getting tired, not to mention the pain. Vernal looked in a better shape than I was in and I clicked my tongue.

"What's wrong? Feeling tired already?" She taunted again.

"Actually I think I can do this all day." I spat back. Our eyes narrowed as we started to land blows on each and other again.

*BOOM*

*BANG*

*POW*

The spar ended up lasting longer than the one I had with Raven. I was exhausted.

After our initial spar, we both came up with a small match to see who could bring the other to down ground repeatedly. We ended up 6 to 6, drawing much to her chagrin. I surprised myself since I didn't think I'd actually be able to keep up with Vernal after a while. Maybe my aura gave me some sort of Bruce Lee or Jackie Chan fighting spirit. I fell back to the ground and let out a long groan.

"I can't believe I have to do this everyday." I breathed heavily while I covered my eyes with my arm.

"You better get used to it. I'm not done kicking your ass." Vernal who also laid on the ground turned her head towards me.

"If I recall, it ended in a draw." I shot back, pushing my back off the ground.

"Maybe today, but not tomorrow."

"We'll see about that."

Our eyes locked one more time as we glared at each other. I think I just made myself an enemy in her eyes.

"I see you've both finished."

Our head turned to see Raven, back from whatever she was doing.

"How did he fare, Vernal?"

"He's okay," She sounded like she didn't want to admit it. "But, he could use more work. He got lucky most of the time."

"Luck plays a part in a fight. If I got lucky to land in several clean hits time and time again, then I'd say you're not as great as you think you are." I retorted earning a snarl from the girl.

Raven let out a small hum and turned to me.

"It looks like it wasn't a bad idea to bring you in. Even though Vernal is around the same age as you, she is one of the best in the tribe. I'm surprised you gave her a hard time, albeit she was holding back."

I gawked at her. I didn't remember too much about the tribe in the show but was she really one of the toughest aside from Raven? "You're telling me that she is one of the bests around here?" I pointed at Vernal who scoffed.

"Yes," Raven folded her arms. "You'll be surprised how good of a fighter she is when she's fighting seriously."

"That remains to be seen." I couldn't really believe that she was like what Raven had said. Sure she gave Weiss a hard time, but I didn't want to accept the fact that someone that cocky had the strength to back it up. Of course, I wasn't in a position to talk about it. I really did get lucky against her after all. I'm sure if she wanted me dead, I'd be dead.

"Go get washed up and then come to my tent, I have something to discuss with you." She turned to Vernal. "Show him where the showers are." She then left me and Vernal alone again.

"Alright get your ass up, Ryver." She stood up and I followed suit.

I don't think they showed it in the show, but the camp site actually had showers. I honestly didn't expect there to be one since there was only tents around and that they'd move site every once in awhile.

The water was warm and it soothed my body. "Phew, I never thought I'd be able to take a shower again." I stood under the shower head. I had no clue how the hell they were able to install fucking plumbing into a tent but I wasn't complaining. I was just glad I could clean myself. God knows what I'd smell like if I lived like some pirate.

I got out and put on my jacket hoodie and pants. They were stained but I didn't really have a choice. I made my way to Raven's tent where she was expecting me. I called out again like earlier and she signaled me to come in.

I entered as I took in the view of how large and different her tent was from the one I rested in. I whistled at how much more 'class' it had. "So, what did you want to talk about?"

Raven was sitting down at the small table where she would talk to Yang and Weiss in the future.

"Sit." She stated simply and I complied. "Tell me Ryver, what do you think now that you've fought with aura?"

I raised an eyebrow. "Was this what she wanted to talk about? I don't really get it but I guess I'll just answer her question."

"That I really did get lucky when I fought with your men and Vernal the first time around. Even though Vernal beat me up just now, I could tell that I lasted longer in that fight because of my aura." I clenched my fist before continuing. "The spar with you also told me it felt different from when I fought without aura. It's convenient for sure, but it'll only take me so far with my poor fighting skills. Vernal was right when she said I got lucky."

Raven hummed as she sipped on a cup of tea she poured herself.

"So you know your flaws."

"It was obvious from the get go. Isn't that why you've made sparring until I got better as a part of my daily routine from now on?" I put my hands behind me and tilted my head.

Raven's face showed a satisfied expression. "Good to see you understand." I rolled my eyes and spoke. "So, was that all you wanted to talk about?"

She shook her head and set her cup on the table.

"We'll be raiding a train that's storing dust in it's cargo, in a months time. I want you to join in that raid, so I expect you to be stronger than you are now when the time comes. Learn from the training you'll be given and improve on it. You still need to prove to me that you can at least help in raids if I'm going to let you stay here."

I rubbed my chin."Well, I won't say I didn't see this coming. I expected something was a little off when she just let me join her tribe. I expected proving my worth in a raid too. It's looking to be a tough month." I sighed mentally and returned my gaze at the black haired woman. "Of course. I know I need to be strong to live, so I'll do my best to live up to your expectations." I remembered she had some sort of 'the strong live and the weak die' mentality, so I figured this was the best thing to say to appeal to her.

Raven nodded her head with a smile and drank her cup of tea.

"I've provided you with another change of clothes in your tent. I can't allow you to walk around stinking up the camp. If you have any questions about the camp you can ask Vernal or me about it." She got up and I did the same. "You can leave now."

"Thanks," I nodded. "Oh, by the way. Do you have a scroll I can use? It'd help me out with my aura." I remembered that it could display aura levels in the show. Raven gave me a questioned look, she wanted to ask me why I exactly wanted one but didn't.

"I think we have one somewhere, I'll try to look for it and give it to you tomorrow."

I nodded again and left her tent.

Now that I was alone, I could feel the piercing glares the rest of the tribe shot me again. I hurried back into my tent to get away from all the unwanted attention. I saw the set of clothes Raven mentioned and changed into them.

I took my dirty clothes off and noticed that my body still retained my muscles that I worked hard to get. "Good to see my hard work hasn't disappeared." I then put on a simple brown shirt with a grey sleeveless vest and long black pants. I preferred my jacket hoodie instead, but I couldn't really complain. "I should probably ask where I can wash my clothes." I said as I sat down on my bed.

Now that I had aura I wanted to know what else I could do with it. I briefly remembered what it did in the show, but I wanted to see what else it could do. I remembered how Nen was depicted in Hunter x Hunter. Maybe I could do something similar to it. It's pretty complex and I don't remember too much about it, so it'd be quite hard to see if I could recreate techniques like Ten or Zetsu, with this kind of aura.

I know for sure that my aura surrounded my entire body. The basic thing with Nen was to be able to control it. I relaxed my body and closed my eyes. I concentrated like I did when Raven unlocked my aura. I breathed slowly and felt a thin layer around me. I opened my eyes and was met with a familiar dark color.

My aura flared up a little before disappearing again.

"Hm, this is kinda hard. But, it feels like I can actually control it. While it's not the same as Nen, it's similar in a few ways. Maybe in time, I can learn aura manipulation." I smiled a little realizing that if I learned to manipulate my aura like Nen, I might be the only person who can use aura manipulation like that in Remnant.

Falling back on my bed, I looked up at the ceiling with my hand stretched out. "Well, this is has definitely been the weirdest yet most interesting change in life."

.

And that's a wrap on the first chapter. I hope you enjoyed it. The length is way more than I expected it to be, but I'm not quite sure if the pacing is alright. I wanted to write Ryver having to deal with a situation one after another so that may be why the pace may be a little fast. I also feel like unlocking his aura was a bit too fast, but I think it was needed due to his run in with Raven. Regarding the fight scenes, I hope it isn't too drawn out or boring. I'm still working on my abilities to write out a fight scene so please do bare with me.

On to the last part where Nen came in. I don't think I've seen a lot of things done with aura other than the food fight in Vol.2 and I don't think I've seen an OC RWBY-fic where aura manipulation was a big thing. I might be wrong, I'm not too sure, I have a bad memory. But, I always wanted to experiment with aura manipulation, hence why I brought Nen in. I won't go too far into it, but since they are quite similar when you look at it from a basic angle, I think it'd be fun to play around and mess with it and see if I can write something interesting.

Again, I hope you all enjoyed the first chapter. Any reviews and or constructive criticism is highly appreciated.

Till the next chapter,

See ya.
