This is the last chapter with some ItaSasu/SasuIta fluff. For only brotherly love go to the chapter before this.

Enjoy ^^

Sasuke walked through his apartment one last time, roaming through the cupboards making sure he hadn't forgotten anything. Suigetsu was already waiting by the door.

Akatsuki had managed to take Itachi back to their hideout without much more resistance from the hunters. They even had an helicopter organized. After some discussion Karin was allowed to ride along helping Sasori, the red head, to heal Itachi.

Suigetsu and Juugo too decided to go to the Akatsuki hideout. It was better this way seeing as they had tried to help Itachi and Sasuke. They wanted to evade any problems with the hunters. But they had to drive with Hidan and Kakuzu in their car. Sasuke had been worried, not liking the two Akatsuki, but everything went well.

However, Akatsukis leader wasn't all too happy about his unscheduled, new subordinates. They were restricted to their assigned quarters nearly all the time for the first days and set under strict surveillance.

It had been one month since then and after some thinking, Sasuke and his friends decided to stay with the Akatsuki rather than going back to the hunters. They would not be killed for siding with Akatsuki or vampires, not in this case. But Kakashi made it clear that they could not be handled like before. The hunters just weren't ready for such a step yet.

After some persuading Akatsukis leader, Pain, agreed to let them join the organization. In the end he admitted that the organization needed some more people.

Now they just needed to get the things they left back at Konoha. For that they had come during night and provided a diversion to keep the Konoha hunters occupied for some time.

They had managed to sneak into Karins, Suigetsus and Juugos shared apartment, which was on academy grounds, without much trouble. The alarm system only worked on fullblooded vampires, which wasn't very smart in Sasukes eyes, and they used some secret paths. Most of the hunters were out chasing after their diversion and those people they did encounter, mostly academy students, were swiftly knocked out. The rooms seemed untouched, but they had probably been searched.

Getting into Sasukes apartment was more troublesome. There were guards stationed around it which had to be taken care of first. It took them longer than necessary and now they were hurrying to get all of his things together before more hunters showed up.

"Aren't you done yet?"

Sasuke turned around surprised at hearing the voice he had gotten used to over these last months. He was a little perplexed seeing Itachi standing at the door. Luckily he had survived his wounds without any lasting damage, even though it will take him some more time to fully recover.

"What are you doing here? You should be back at the hideout resting."

Sasuke hurried to his brother looking him over and feeling his forehead for a possible fever. He's had problems with an infection and it took long till they had the fever under control. Itachi smiled at the worry in his brothers voice. It was nice that he didn't have to lie to him anymore, they could talk about so many things now. Having him around brightened his day every time, even though this anxious behavior was starting to get tiring. Slowly he leaned down placing a small kiss on Sasukes cheek, who blushed at feeling Itachis breath on his skin as the older spoke.

"I am fine, mother. Leader allowed me to help with distracting the hunters."

Sasuke frowned at that. He had become quiet protective of his older brother these past weeks, not liking how rough the Akatsuki members treated him sometime. Itachi said it was alright, that his friends always behaved like this and that he shouldn't worry. But still, Sasuke cupped Itachis cheek looking him deeply into the eyes, searching for any weakness showing. After some moments the now slightly blushing Itachi raised his eyebrows and Sasuke let him go. Apparently he was fine after all.

"Well, shouldn't you still be occupying the hunters then?"

Itachi waved his hand dismissively and started descending the stairs. Sasuke followed, being mindful to close the door behind him. He didn't want the knocked out men in the living room to get a cold.

"Na, they're still hunting after a clone. We have plenty of time…or not."

He had stopped halfway down the stairs and stared towards their cars, back stiff. Sasuke peeked over his shoulder grumbling in irritation. Kakashi leaned against Sasukes car. Suigetsu, Karin and Juugo stood by their own car looking just a little bit alert. The hunter seemed to be alone and without any weapons.

Sasuke pushed passed Itachi, slightly touching his waist on the way down to reassure him and walked towards his former teacher and practically stepfather. He could feel Itachi follow and stand right behind him, putting a hand on his shoulder. Kakashi was fixating Itachi with his one visible eye, wearing his usual seemingly bored look, before turning his eye back to Sasuke. He had already noticed the intimate behavior between the two.

"So…you have decided to leave us…"

Sasuke slowly nodded and looked around.

"I guess you are here to just say goodbye. Otherwise you would have brought along some backup. Didn't Naruto and Sakura want to come along?"

Kakashi shook his head.

"I did not think it wise to tell them of your departure yet, you surely can imagine how they would have reacted if they were here."

Sasuke shuddered. That would have brought some unnecessary problems.

"Now, are you going to vanish forever or will we at least get to hear of you from time to time?"

Sasuke smiled. These people had been his family for too long, he could not simply break bonds with them forever. It wouldn't be easy seeing as Akatsuki and the hunters did not get along yet, but perhaps this could be the beginning of an alliance between the two organizations.

"I will let you know if I'm still alive regularly."

Kakashi nodded, but apparently he had more to say.

"That is good. Well that was the pleasant, family part of the talk. Now about work."

Sasuke sighed, he had hoped to evade anything of that sort. If his mind didn't betray him Kakashi was grinning under his mask right now.

"It can't be helped. I had to give Tsunade a good reason for my letting your brother and Akatsuki go that day."

He threw a pointed look at Itachi, who glared back.

"Anyway, the condition for letting you go and dropping the subject with Itachi is to use you as a spy inside Akatsuki."

Sasuke raised an eyebrow while Itachi snorted. An elbow in his ribs made him stop whatever he was about to say. Sasuke looked back at his brother telling him with his eyes that he was well able to handle this alone. Itachi grumbled slightly, but complied.

"So what exactly did you tell Tsunade I would do?"

"I could convince her that you would be able to get important information about the Uchiha and other vampire clans as well as use Akatsukis network of informants to help find wanted vampires. That's all for now, but I am sure she will have thought of something else after some weeks."

Kakashi held out a mobile phone to Sasuke, who thought about this for a moment and finally took the mobile.

"I guess that is fine. I am sure Akatsukis leader won't have any objections to sharing such information. What do you think?"

He looked back at Itachi, who took the mobile phone inspecting it. It was a prepaid, which couldn't be tracked as long as it was turned off.

"Depends on the information, but this is a good deal so far. If that was everything, we still have to drive for quite some time and should be going."

Kakashi nodded and stepped aside. Without any more words Sasuke and Itachi went into the car and started it. The others too started their car. Itachi watched the hunter closely, but Kakashi did not move to stop them from leaving.

Finally outside Konoha Itachi let out a breath he had been holding. Sasuke grinned and poked Itachis side, making the older grumble.

"Were you scared of him?"

Itachi looked at his little brother sideways before looking out the window again, pretending to ignore him. Sasuke grabbed for his brothers hand, getting his attention.

"No, I just released my clone. Imagine how these poor guys must look right now."

Sasuke snorted, trying to concentrate on the traffic as Itachi was trying to distract him by slowly stroking the back of his hand with his thumb. He would not succumb to that trick again.

"Don't try to hide it. You were worried for me."

Itachi sighed and fixed Sasuke with his eyes, grinning. He brought his younger brothers hand to his lips, placing a kiss on the open palm. Sasuke pulled his hand away at the tingling feeling and gave his brother a reprimanding glare. This wasn't the right time or place for this.

"Alright, if it makes you happy: I was worried…by the way…do you really trust Kakashi not to be able to place a tracker on your car?"

Itachi grinned at Sasukes puzzled face and watched in amusement as his younger brother cursed loudly, driving onto the next rest area.

"You could have told me earlier you know!"

His brother only laughed. Angry Sasuke stepped out of the car and walk around it searching. Itachi followed, watching in shear amusement.

"What are you searching for?"

Suigetsu had parked his car close and now too watched Sasukes frenzy search.

"I am searching for any tracking devices Kakashi might have planted on the car. You should look at yours too."

Suigetsu nodded and together he, Karin and Juugo searched their car. They found no tracker, but Sasuke did. Grumbling he looked around and decided to refasten the tracker on a truck that stood nearby, let the hunters chase after that.

Itachi chuckled as his outouto came back looking quite pissed. He hugged the younger, placing a kiss on his forehead before going back to the car, still chuckling. Sasuke grumbled.

"Stop laughing already. I trust Kakashi, but for a moment I forgot that he is an hunter after all."

"Well, but he might have lead the hunters right to our hideout. You need to be careful when contacting him in the future."

Sasuke huffed in defiance, he knew Kakashi better than that.

"You could at least trust me a little on this. I am sure Kakashi knows we would find the tracker. It was placed quite obvious."

Itachi smiled slyly and beckoned with his hand, motioning for Sasuke to come closer. As his younger brother had stepped close enough Itachi snapped his hand for und upwards, pocking Sasuke onto the forehead with two fingers. Surprised, Sasuke took a step back, rubbed his forehead and grumbled in confusion, slightly blushing. He had believed his brother to give him a kiss or the like. Itachi knew this and was laughing.

"What was that about?"

Sasuke too started grinning now. Taking advantage of the situation he pulled his brother closer effectively shutting of his chuckling by pressing their lips together. Itachi only smiled now, ignoring Suigetsu hooting.

"Don't know, but I always wanted to do that."
