Disclaimer: I only own Annabelle.

A/N: I can't believe it's been over a year since I've last updated Trapped. Talk about losing direction for a moment. I'm sorry for the wait! Thank you to everyone who's been following from the beginning, you guys are the best! I hope you enjoy the long awaited chapter! Review.

Dean watched Annabelle's every move on the cameras. He saw her leave her room to meet Baron outside. He watched her walk back to the room with Baron, his paws all over her. It sickened him. What sickened him even more was the glee on her face. She actually liked this neanderthal and liked having his hands all over her. Before he could shove his fist through the monitor they had disappeared into her room. Sighing, he turned his attention to the monitor showing the back hallway.

"Cheer up, buttercup." Seth teased, throwing a paper ball at him. "She's repulsed by you. There will be other girls you'll having eating out the palm of your hand."

"I don't want other girls." Dean growled without taking his eyes off the monitor. "I want her. She's the one I want. The one I need."

"I know she's a good fuck, but come on, don't you think you're getting a tad bit obsessed with her? I've seen you go through these women and bring them here or kill them. Why is this one different?"

Dean pushed his chair back and got up. "There won't be other girls. It's only going to be her and I'll make sure of it."

"Its been one month since she's been up at the house." Seth said, not hiding his confusion. "Granted you've been spending a lot of time at the house lately, you have been searching the area for other girls."

"None of them are a challenge and that's why none of them have lasted." Dean shrugged. "It's time for a change."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Dean just laughed and patted Seth on the shoulder. With his laughter trailing behind him Dean just walked out the room, leaving a bewildered Seth in his wake.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Seth shouted into the hallway. "Don't do anything crazy, Ambrose!"

"Gee, Ambrose not do anything crazy, that'll be the day."

Seth turned around to see Roman coming down the hallway, a shit eating grin on his face.

"He's up to something." Seth said, looking in the direction Dean had gone in. "He has been for sometime and I think he's finally setting it in motion."

"I'll get the car." Roman said, then walked off in the direction Dean had gone in.

Seth looked back at the monitors to see the halls were empty. Whatever it was that Dean was going to do, it wasn't going to be pretty.

"I'll see you Saturday." Baron said as they walked into the main lobby. "Hunter gave me the ok. I'll be by around six to pick you up."

Annabelle nodded, the butterflies already fluttering around her stomach. She hadn't been away from the property since the day she was brought here. Being on the outside both excited and frightened her. Would anybody know who and what she was? Would she see someone she knew? Would she be able to make an escape?

"Are you all right?" He asked, noting her silence.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She mumbled, looking away from him. "I was just thinking what I should bring with me."

"You sure that's it?" Baron tilted her head up to look at him. "I know what you're thinking and it's going to be fine. No one is going to harm you. I won't let them."

"I know you won't." She smiled. "What if someone you know knows me? Knows that I'm some hooker that lives in a brothel."

"That's not what you are. You're more than that to me. Don't think even for one second that that is all I see you as." He leaned down and kissed her. "We'll talk more on Saturday."

"See you Saturday."

He kissed her one more time and then he was gone.

"Well, you two sure are getting cozy."

Annabelle turned around to see Paige standing at the foot of the stairs, a shit eating grin on her face.

"I don't think anything cozy goes on here."

Paige laughed. "Come on, let's go get some food. I was looking for you when I saw you and Baron canoodling in the lobby."

She smiled and followed Paige out to the kitchen.

"Tell me about you and Baron." Paige said, threading her arm through Annabelle's and leading her down the hall. "You've seemed to grow comfortable with each other pretty fast."

"I would have to considering I was in bed with him thirty seconds after we met." She muttered.

Paige rolled her eyes. "It's not that bad here. There's worse out there."

"Because you came here willingly. I was literally dragged into this." She sighed. "Is what it is, I guess."

"You've adjusted well." Paige pointed out. "You've got a steady clientele and from the looks of it you're getting ready to dive into a relationship."

What she said made Annabelle stop walking and pull Paige back. "What?"

"What?" Paige asked. "Do you really think that some of the girls here just have sex and don't form a relationship with someone, be it a client, or someone they met from outside?"

"I thought everyone here had to be single and not leave the property."

"They have to be, but that doesn't stop the girls from still having someone. Albeit, someone understanding about their lifestyle. You said it yourself, I came here willingly and so did a lot of other girls. Your being forced here is a new thing Hunter is trying. We've had quite a few girls leave."

"How?"

"It's different for everyone. If you came here as I did, you're free to do what you want. I'm not considered a flight risk. If I wanted to leave right now and not come back that would be fine. The longer you're here and prove yourself to be trustworthy, and the closer you get to Baron, the easier it will be for you."

Annabelle was so confused. How could there be so much freedom in such a constricted world? She couldn't breathe right without Stephanie glaring at her. It seemed every time she turned around Hunter was there leering at her. Though, he hasn't said a word to her since their altercation in her room, Dean was still showing up, always watching her from a distance.

"I don't know much about the kidnapping process that you've been going on about, but what I do know is that once you adjust you'll be fine. You won't be like AJ."

A week after Annabelle came, AJ had run off with one of her regulars. For days Seth and Roman were searching for her and someone named CM Punk, but it was as if they had fallen off the face of the earth. Nobody knew how he had gotten her out of the house and past security, but he did and she was gone. A blessing if you asked Annabelle.

"Just pretend like you're repulsed by monogamous relationships is what you're telling me?"

Paige thought for a moment before responding. "If you want to put it that way, then yes. I don't know your entire setup here, but it will get better if you cooperate. It's not exactly difficult to figure out what you're thinking."

"It's hard for me to adjust to this especially when this isn't what I wanted."

Paige looked around to make sure no one was within earshot. The last thing she wanted to do was have someone overhear what she was going to say and alert Hunter. She could see Annabelle was miserable anytime she wasn't with Baron.

"If you want out, Baron Corbin is going to be your way out." She whispered. "He's grown close to you in such a short amount of time and that never happens with a guy like him. There had to have been something about you that he liked that made him switch over to you and only spend time with you. Learn to trust him, to even love him and he'll be your way out of here."

She thought about it for a moment, wondering if she could be deceptive enough to use him like that. The man made frequent visits to a whorehouse. There had to be a reason why he did. Maybe something was wrong with his psyche that she hadn't picked up yet.

Annabelle rubbed her temples, trying to rid herself of the headache she felt coming on. There was so much she still had to learn before she could figure her way out of here.

"You all right?" Paige asked.

"Yeah." Annabelle dropped her hands down to her sides. "It's all overwhelming."

"It'll pass." Paige shrugged, then threaded her arm through Annabelle's again. "Let's go stuff our faces. Then you can help me get ready for my next date."

When they were gone he stepped out from behind the wall. He rubbed his hands together, a smirk on his face. Dean would need to get Baron out of the picture sooner than he thought.

Annabelle had just left Paige's room when she bumped into Seth in the hallway.

"Have you seen Dean?"

"Hello to you to, Seth." She greeted. "No, I haven't seen Dean today."

Seth didn't know if he should be relieved or anxious.

His silence made her nervous. Getting away from Dean was the only good thing to happen her. She could feel herself losing her mind while she was locked up in that dingy room of his.

"Is everything all right?" She asked, her voice cracking some.

"Everything is fine." Seth smiled, trying to keep calm. "I just needed to ask him something. I haven't seen him since late this morning. He had to meet with Hunter today."

"Yeah, haven't seen the lunatic today. But, if I do, I'll let him know you were looking for him."

She really hoped she wouldn't run into him. Their last interaction still left her blood running cold. The fact that he only stared at her when they were in a room together made her nervous. It was as if she was under his thumb all over again.

"No!" Seth exclaimed, then caught himself and lowered the excitement in his voice. "I mean no, it's fine. I'll probably see him later on, if not tomorrow. It can wait."

She looked around the hall before gesturing for Seth to follow her to her room. When they got there, she locked the door behind them. She pressed her back against the door and watched Seth cross the room and sit on the chair in front of her vanity table.

"If I'm going to have to see Dean, I need to know what exactly his case is. I need to find a way to be in the same room with him without feeling sheer panic. Especially after the last time I was alone with him."

"We both know what happened the last time you were with him."

She shook her head. "Not at the warehouse. I'm talking about when I was first brought here."

Seth sat forward, interested in where she was going with this. Hunter made it very clear that they weren't allowed in the rooms unless there was an emergency. Though not everyone observed that rule.

"He was here after my first, uh, date with Baron. He forced his way into my room, jealous that I liked the time I had with Baron. Dean made it sounds as if I should be thanking him, begging him to be with me. He ignored my existence before I left the warehouse and here he was trying to mark me as if I were his territory. He went as far as trying to force himself on me."

"Was he able-"

"No, I was somehow able to get him to leave." Annabelle interrupted. "Thank god. Since then he's been showing up here and there, just staring at me from across the room."

She moved away from the door and sat on the edge of the bed.

"I know this may sound weird to you, given the circumstances, but I think he's in love with you."

Annabelle started laughing. "He's not in love with me. He's in love with the chase."

He shook his head. "I don't think so."

Her laughter died down and she made direct eye contact with Seth. "I asked you in here for a reason, Seth. I told you this because I need to know what goes through his head. What do you know about him?"

"Why should I tell you anything?" Seth asked. "You bashed me in the head with a gun the first night we met."

She brought her hands up to her heart, feigning a pout. "Here I thought I was forgiven, what with the sex and blow jobs and all."

"I told you what I thought and you laughed at me." He shrugged. "Truth is nobody knows what goes through that head of his. You've seen what he is capable of. You know he is just as unhinged as I do."

"There has to be reason for it."

"Look, you put up a fight. This is a man that is used to having women throw themselves at him outside of here. This a man that can get a woman to cave and do what he wants. He's not used to someone putting up as much of a fight as you did and allowing them to live. You present a challenge. Despite, what he thinks or says, the man is in love with you."

"Come on, Seth, a man like that doesn't love anyone, not even himself. It's why he's doing this. What you're saying doesn't make sense."

"I told you what I think, what I know." He shrugged again. "Something in his mind had to have snapped into place. You seemed to tap into a part of him that he didn't know existed."

Well, this wasn't what she expecting. She was hoping to get some kind of backstory on him so she would have something to work with if she ever had to speak to him again.

"What should I do when I see him again?"

"Walk in the opposite direction."

"Is there something I should know?"

Instead of giving her an answer, Seth got up and left her sitting there, as frustrated as ever.

Annabelle was happy when Enzo left. Of all the people she had as her client, he was the worst so far. He was always in a frenzy. Words just spilled out his mouth in no particular order with zero meaning. The sex, if she could call it that, went by just as fast. Her lack of attraction to him, seemed to go unnoticed. Not that he would care if he did notice. It's not like she could tell him either. After all, he was paying for his pleasure, not hers.

"Annabelle?" She heard from the other side of her door, followed by a knock. "Annabelle, are you in there?"

She tightened the belt on her robe and went to answer the door. She was surprised to see Roman there. She hadn't seen him since she had been taken from the warehouse.

"Yes?"

"Hunter sent me to get you. He wants to see you in his office."

"Do I have time to get myself ready? I need to wipe off all traces of Enzo." She sighed. "Do I need to answer the summons right away?"

"Has anyone slapped you yet?"

"Just some spanking." She laughed. "Does that count?"

"Daddy kink, huh?" He asked, raising his eyebrow.

She rested her hands on her chest, her fingernails gently scratching against his tactical vest. "What can I say, you gave me a new kink, Daddy."

"All right, all right." Roman said, taking her hands off him. "Quit being a smart ass. Do what you gotta do. I'll tell Hunter you'll be in to see him soon. Leave the door unlocked, I'll be waiting in here for you."

Annabelle stepped out into the hallway, calling after Roman. "Where's the big goon?"

"Not sure." He shrugged. "He's been missing all day. Go get yourself together."

"All right, Daddy."

He barked at her to get ready and he was gone.

A half hour later, Annabelle was out the shower. True to his word, there was Roman sitting on the edge of her bed, looking about as uncomfortable and out of place as ever.

"Relax, Daddy, I don't bite." She teased. "Unless you want me to."

"I'm glad you've come out of your shell, but can you speed this shit up?" He growled. "I have other shit to do today."

"Who blew you in the parking lot?"

Roman remained quiet. It felt like it took her an eternity to get ready. He was about ready to lay down and fall asleep when she announced she was done.

"About damn time." He muttered as he got up. "Let's go."

He took her by the arm and led her to Hunter's office.

"I'm not a dog on a leash, I can get around by myself without someone guiding me along."

"The last time I was with you tells me otherwise."

They stopped in front of Hunter's office. He knocked and then opened the door when they were granted permission to enter. He held the door open for her.

"I'll be waiting out here for you." Roman muttered as he shut the door behind him.

Denying that she enjoyed his discomfort would be a lie. Smiling to herself, she turned away from the door to face Hunter.

"Get over here and sit down."

She walked across the room and sat down in the chair in front his desk. She felt like she was in here so much she should just etch her name on the leather armrest.

"I see someone is having a good day."

"I don't have time for the witty banter today." Hunter said, sitting back in his chair. "I called you in here to talk to you about your weekend get away with Baron."

"Weekend get away? Is that what you're calling overtime?"

"I'm not in the mood today." He warned her.

"Sorry." She muttered, dropping her gaze down to the floor.

"Back to what I was saying. Baron got my approval to take you off the grounds this weekend. You'll be back here Monday morning." He said. "I've cancelled your dates with Enzo and Finn. The latter will be by to see you Friday."

That's a name she hadn't heard all month. He came by the one time and then she never heard anything about him again. Either he had no interest in her or he didn't visit whorehouses regularly.

"He's been out of town, but from what I gathered, he was quite taken with you."

Why did Annabelle feel like everyone was taken with her? What was so great about what she was doing? Surely, her attitude put some people off. Given Finn's quiet demeanor, she assumed he had no idea how to deal with her.

"I'll start getting ready for him?" She asked, not sure what else to say.

"Enzo will be here next Wednesday."

Annabelle raised her hand. "Can I ask you a question before you start going into guidelines and restrictions? I'm guessing this is where you're heading since you're telling me about rescheduled dates."

"What is it?"

"Is there anyway for me not to see Enzo anymore? Not only does he make me want to retch, I find myself getting migraines when he speaks."

"No, he pays a lot to see only way he will be denied seeing you is if he causes you any harm."

"Awful sex should be considered harmful."

"We're getting off topic here. I told you no, now drop it!" He exclaimed. "As I said, you're going to be off the property with Baron. He is very much aware you are not to leave his sight. Dolph and Ryback will be going along with you as your security team. They will be out of your sight, leaving you and Baron to do whatever it is he needs you for. If you so much as run, the rest of the weekend is cancelled and you're back here. Baron will be banned and you will not be allowed to leave the property. You'll be limited to in house visits only. Baron at all gets violent, you're back here and he is banned. If you guys aren't where you are supposed to be..."

"I know, I know. I'll be brought back here and sentenced to house arrest." She interrupted him. "It will be fine, Hunter. He's already assured me that I won't be out of his sight. Apparently, I'm Rent-a-Girlfriend. Do I have a cover story I need to memorize?"

Hunter walked around his desk and stood in front of her. He wrapped his hands around either side of the chair and lowered his face down to hers.

"What did I get through telling you?"

"You're not in the mood for my witty banter." She said, looking away from him again. "Sorry, I couldn't help it."

"Try." He growled, his breathing heavy. "This day has been long enough without you adding onto it."

"You have to admit, I've been on my best behavior."

"That concerns me."

"No need for concern, Bossman." Annabelle shrugged. "I'll be on my best behavior. I actually like Baron."

"Yep, still concerned."

"I promise, I'll be on my best behavior."

"I'm still not at ease."

"If I'm not, I'll sentence myself to house arrest."

It was becoming harder to control his anger. From his fight with Stephanie earlier that morning to his brother-in-law potentially returning to him being this close to Annabelle, he was having the day from hell.

He straightened himself up and backed away from the chair. "I'm sick of looking at you. Get the hell out of my office."

Annabelle bit down on her tongue to keep her words from spewing out of her mouth. Nodding her head, she got up and left his office, eagerly greeting Roman when stepped outside.

"I'm free for the rest of the day, Daddy. Want to do something? I'm in dire need to get off."

"Stop calling me that."

She followed him back to her room, the silence between them thick.

"Why? Does it make you uncomfortable?" She wondered, closing the space between them. Her hand drifted down to his cock. "Or does it turn you on?"

"I hate you."

"Your body is saying otherwise." She teased as she took her hand off him. "Now you know how I feel."

"I have to go." He muttered. "Here's your room."

"Same time tomorrow?" Annabelle called after him.

He started walking faster.

"So much for being the quiet, dangerous one." She muttered then walked into her room.

Just as she had shut the door, she felt herself being grabbed from behind. A hand covered her mouth, while his free arm wrapped around her waist, roughly holding her against his body in an effort to stop her struggling.

"I'm going to move my hand." He whispered in her ear. "You so much as scream I'll...just don't scream. I really need to talk to you, ok?"

Annabelle didn't need to turn to around to see who it was. She knew that voice anywhere. It has haunted her dreams from the night they had met. His hand fell away from her mouth.

"What do you need, Dean?"

"I've been thinking a lot about you."

"Let me go."

"Only if you'll give me a chance to talk to you."

She stopped struggling against him. If she wanted to figure him out, she would need to be civil. Since Seth was a bust and Roman could hardly have a conversation with her, this was the only choice she had. She took a deep breath to relax herself.

"Just two conditions."

"Name it."

"You have to let go of me and sit on that chair by the window. You are not allowed to come near me or touch me."

"That's four."

She rolled her eyes. "Stop being a wise ass. Do you want to talk or not? You shouldn't be in here anyway."

"Seth was in here."

"I needed to talk to him."

"Riiight." He drawled. "Talk to him. All Seth Rollins does in a room with a woman is talk."

"Is this what you came in here to hound me about?"

"No." He let her go and stepped around her to get to his assigned seat. "I had something else on my mind."

She watched him plop down into the chair. He laid his right arm across the back of the chair and then lean back in the chair so that the front legs were off the ground. They stared at each other in silence, with Annabelle mentally wishing for him to fall back and bust his ass on the floor.

"What is it?"

Her foot tapped against the hardwood floor in annoyance. She didn't know what frustrated her more; his calm demeanor or her need to understand the inner workings of his mind.

"I've been thinking a lot about you lately." He finally said. "I'm worried about you."

"That's laughable. If my memory serves me right, I'm here because of you. I'm here because you chased me out of a bar and into an alley. I'm here because you and your little friends dragged me here. Now you want to say you're worried? Now you want to start to care?"

"I'm not worried about you being here. We did what we had to do and you're better off for it."

Annabelle snorted. "Yes, I'm better off here."

"Crunch some numbers with Hunter. You've made more in the last week then you have as a social worker for the last three years."

"How did you-"

"Know?" Dean finished for her. "We did surveillance on you. We followed you around. You are quite the trusting soul. I don't think I've met anyone so quick witted and smart mouthed, yet vulnerable. It's why I thought you were a good fit. It's why I brought you here. I got a good lead on you by someone in your life and here we are. I'm not here to talk about that."

"Someone set me up. That's what you're telling me?" She asked, her eyes widening with fear.

"I'm here to talk about you and these weird dudes that have been entertained in here." He said, his face distorted with disgust. "I swear just looking at that bed and that big tattooed buffoon and you can catch VD."

"No, no." She shook her head. "You can't say that I was setup and then go on about Baron."

"It's not important." Dean shrugged. He got up and turned to look out the window. "What's important is your safety. I don't trust Baron, even this Balor guy that's coming back. I especially don't trust Enzo Amore's dumb ass."

These were things that didn't concern her. What did concern her was his revelation. Who would have set her up like this? Her mind went through a list of names; Sami, Kevin, Bayley, Corey, Charlotte, Sasha, the list went on and on. None of them would have any malicious reason to want her here.

"I don't care about any of that! I want to know who it was!"

"It doesn't matter." He shrugged again. "It's all in the past. What does matter is that I don't trust these people. I don't want to see you hurt. I'm worried about your leaving the grounds with Baron. I don't trust him."

She didn't like the way he was skirting around her questions. She didn't care to discuss Baron and her leaving the house. Those weren't her worries anymore. Dean just dropped the biggest bomb on her and he was purposely ignoring her, going back to Baron. If he wouldn't tell her anything, then she would need to find another way to figure it out. Maybe ask Hunter? After all, this was about her, she had the right to know.

"That's not distrust, that's jealously. I'm not going down this road with you again, Dean. There's nothing left between us! Fuck, there never was anything between us!" Annabelle exclaimed, holding out her arms and dropping them down to her sides. "I don't know how many more ways I can tell you this."

He turned around to face her. "I'm not here for that. I got that. You're repulsed by me, I got it. It's been noted and stored at the front of my brain. I'm coming to you expressing my concern because of what I've told you. You trusted someone with your life and they sold you out, brought you here. They gave you this life, not me."

Annabelle had to sit down. This was too much to take in. She didn't know what to think anymore. Just when she thought she was on a clear path to figuring a way out of here, another kick knocked her on her ass.

"I'm saying this as someone who wants to be your friend; I'm worried." Dean walked over to her and squatted down in front of her. "Please don't go. I've seen you hurt. I've had my part in it, but I can't see you in pain anymore. Don't go. I'll talk to Hunter for you. Just whatever you do, don't leave the property. If you're not going to do it for me, then do it for you."

She was barely aware the Dean was in front her, breaking his promise to stay away from her. She was in such a state of shock, she couldn't even think. Looking up from her feet, Annabelle found herself looking into the eyes of a man she didn't like, for the first time wondering if he was the only one she could trust.

A/N: Do you guys think Dean is being genuine?
