After this chapter is posted, I have a big announcement!

The sequel is here!

I'll be posting it as soon as possible after this goes up, so if you all are still interested in following the adventures of Weiss and the Gods of Remnant... feel free to come along for the ride!

Thank you all so much. I love you all immensely.

Sincerely,

Dagger of Faith

Weiss awoke from the grave.

No, this wasn't the grave. But something... different. It felt much more peaceful than when she was killed months ago in the wreckage of Saturn's fleet attack on Beacon. She couldn't tell if Dagonus controlled this realm, or if anyone even knew where she was.

"Weiss Schnee." A familiar voice spoke to the girl from behind, turning rapidly to greet none other than Yveltal.

"Yveltal!" Weiss was startled, yet happy she wasn't being greeted by another Fallen being of darkness.

Yveltal wore his timeless look, adjusting his white suit. His eyes examined Weiss before him with judgement.

"The rules of the universe are severe and concrete. Your death at the hands of an Elder God is permanent, and as a result, you were placed here." The Elder God gestured around. "Heaven, Valhalla, the Divine Beyond. All names for this place. The final solution of the universe."

"Dead..." Weiss toyed with the word. "Seems like a foreign concept at this point to me."

"Do you accept this?" Yveltal seemed surprised, his eyes squinting a tad.

"I don't really have much of a choice, do I?" Weiss asked as she sat down on the surface of the realm, Yveltal following suit.

"You perplex me." Yveltal noted. "You have sacrificed all, yet expect none in return. Not even begging to be pardoned from death."

"What can I say? I think I did the right thing in the end." Weiss commented a minute later after thinking. "I stopped Xalveris, saved the world, and reality itself I imagine. Seems to be a worthwhile endeavor."

"I would agree, Miss Schnee." Yveltal nodded his head. "You are truly a remarkable individual."

"Thank you, Lord Yveltal." Weiss nodded her head in acceptance, looking around slightly confused. "Am I to simply wait here for eternity or am I supposed to move on from this place?"

"Actually, Miss Schnee, I have an offer for you." Yveltal cleared his throat.

"When I was born into the universe, I established several laws into existence. These rules are fundamental in order to survive the endless void. And I must follow these rules as well." Yveltal began, pausing as he looked around. "As a creator, I am forbidden from destroying life. I can only balance. And for myself to have slain you in battle..."

Weiss perked up. "You're aren't saying-"

"I would never, how does the saying go, stick my neck out for a mere Mortal, Miss Schnee, but you are very remarkable. You have so much potential, and after all of this... I feel I owe you as such." Yveltal clasped his hands together standing tall once more. "One last resurrection, that is all I grant you. I must warn you to be much more careful about what sacrifices you make."

"Thank you, Lord Yveltal." Weiss bowed her head in respect, taking the God's waiting hand in her own.

Weiss and Yveltal were thrown back into reality, Weiss falling to her knees as Yveltal stood un-phased.

"Gah!" Weiss cried out as she landed face first on the concrete below, groaning as her Aura had taken the damage.

"Weiss!" Ruby cried out with joy as she slammed herself into the heiress, rolling around before coming to a halt. "Don't ever scare me like that again!"

"Get off of me, you dunce!" Weiss wheezed as she managed to wiggle free, properly hugging Ruby once she calmed down. "It's good to see you, Ruby."

The crowd that had gathered began to cheer in unison, many clapping in joy as everything was calmed down. Sure, there would be much rebuilding to do. With a majority of the city destroyed, there wasn't much to celebrate. But this moment, this was an exception.

"Good work, Weiss. I couldn't be prouder." Orion gently pat her back, messing with Ruby's hair. Yang and Blake finally relaxed seeing Weiss well, hugging each other equally as fiercely.

"This has been such a rollercoaster." Yang commented, her body still glowing with flames.

"Indeed it has, Yang. Indeed it has." Blake agreed as they moved towards Ruby and Weiss, reuniting team RWBY once more.

In the days following the fall of Xalveris, everyone did their part to restore the city of Vale back to what it was. Many engineers began to work on the rebuilding of the CCT, others worked on the defenses of the city. They couldn't risk any sort of Grimm invasion at a time like this, as it would be a massacre.

Team RWBY was paraded with the Gods of Kryata, the entire Kingdom rejoicing in their victory. The darkness above them all had finally been broken, and peace restored to the land. The remaining members of the rebellion against Dagonus were all granted medals of valor by the Queen of Vale, now reinstated into power after the invasion, save for Saturn Laos, who was only given a pardon for his various crimes. The former crime lord had to agree with them on that regard.

Back at Beacon, things were resuming their typical style. Classes began once again as more and more students applied to join the prestigious academy, egger to demonstrate their own power like Weiss did. Ozpin resumed his command of the school with a determination not to have another incident like this once more, using Luna to hone their defenses to above maximum efficiency. Teams CFVY and JNPR began classes once more, top tier in their respective years.

In the end, everyone parted ways, determined to continue their own dreams.

Weiss stood in the garden of Beacon academy with the rest of her team. Orion, Dagonus, and even Yveltal stood together across from the team of girls, everyone quiet as Yveltal finished speaking.

"Therefore, I'd like to suggest that we establish a firm connecting between our realms. In order to prevent another such event from unfolding, clear communication must be needed, naturally." Yveltal spoke in his white suit, team RWBY nodding in unison.

"Agreed." Weiss smiled.

"I would have gone through with it anyways, but it felt better presenting the idea to you all first." Yveltal admitted, arms crossed behind his back.

"Sir?" Weiss stepped forwards, noticing how uncomfortable Dagonus looked at his father's side.

"Yes?" Yveltal raised a brow.

"What is to happen to Dagonus?" Weiss asked as the garden grew much colder, Yveltal almost scowling.

"What business is it to yourself, may I ask?" Yveltal was curious, Dagonus looking at the ground below.

"You two need to mend whatever issues you have. It was just this kind of communication issue that lead to all of this happening in the first place." Weiss reasoned. "Besides, I was effected by this madness thanks to your gap."

"Snarky, isn't she?" Orion chuckled to himself. "Eh, father?"

"Very." Yveltal hummed, looking down to his other son. "Dagonus, we will discuss these events... back home."

Dagonus seemed to light up before returning to his composed state. "Yes, sir."

"And I would like to extend that welcome to you too, Ruby and Yang." Yveltal cleared his throat, the entirety of team RWBY looking at one another in confusion.

"What for?" Ruby asked, concerned.

"Training. You seek to become warriors, no?" Yveltal suggested. "I would like to supervise your training, as well as rebuild and establish both of your homes in our realm. There is much rebuilding to do."

Weiss and Blake exchanged a look, nodding in agreement.

"Guys." Blake smiled weakly. "Go on, we will still be here when you get back."

"But Blake-" Yang was cut off.

"You two have so much to look forwards to. Besides, it's not like this is the last time we will see each other." Weiss happily laughed, hugging Ruby tightly. "Go on, but don't forget to send back!"

"We will be back really soon!" Ruby chirped happily. "And bring plenty of presents!"

"Don't go overboard, please." Blake laughed, warmly hugging Yang.

The two Mortal girls gave their friends a farewell wave before Yveltal teleported them out of their reality, leaving the pair of heiress and Faunus alone in the garden.

"Well, if Yang were here you know what she'd say?" Blake asked, a hint of a smirk on her face.

"Don't you dare." Weiss growled.

"That was a thing." Blake broke out into giggles as Weiss fought them off, moving off towards Beacon.

While Blake returned to the dorm room, Weiss decided to head to the front of Beacon academy. She liked the view it provided for her enjoyment. Sitting on the edge of Beacon cliff, the heiress watched the waves rolled off the sharp rocks at the base of the land.

"Mind some company?" Saturn's voice chimed in, standing just a few feet behind the girl. Weiss turned her focus to the man, nodding as he sat down beside her.

"You know, kid? You aren't half bad." Saturn commented suddenly as he twirled a pen in hand, flicking between his fingers to the sounds of the ocean. "You've got heart."

"Thank you?" Weiss almost asked rather than accepted, raising a brow out of curiosity.

"It's a compliment. Take it or leave it. Not too great at the whole "flattery" thing." The former crime lord teased, his cybernetic eyes regarding the heiress almost coldly. "But I mean it, you did good. Without you, we would all be dust by now."

"True. I am pretty great." Weiss taunted, much to Saturn's enjoyment.

"Uh-huh." The man sounded. "I suppose it's time we head our separate ways, eh? Have to head back to our own lives at some point."

"No more assassinations." Weiss demanded, the crime lord holding a hand over his heart.

"Oh I wouldn't dream of it!" Saturn performed, rolling his eyes. "What about you? Finishing Beacon I'd assume?"

"Most likely. I'll try my best." Weiss nodded her head, standing up with the man.

Saturn thought before he placed a warm hand on her shoulder, much to her confusion.

"Eh?" The heiress asked.

"Thank you, for saving me from myself." Saturn spoke seriously, breaking into a grin before turning around and walking towards the airship hub.

Weiss spoke up. "Wait!"

Saturn turned back, raising a brow. "Huh? What's up?"

"Your payment. What about what I owe you?" Weiss asked as the former crime lord broke into a hearty chuckle.

"I'll get it later." Saturn smirked, flicking the pen over her way. Weiss caught it without trouble, looking down at it. "Keep it. See you around, Schnee."

And with that, Saturn Laos disappeared into the night, leaving Weiss alone to her thoughts.

"See you around..." Weiss muttered as she held the pen close, pocketing it before turning back to Beacon, ready for some well deserved, much needed rest.

The center of the planet churned as the core shifted its position, dozens of chunks of rock and dirt falling to the cavern's base.

A pair of glowing red slits lit up in the darkness, examining the massive Dust shard at the core of Remnant. The source almost sounded worried in its chattering, two long pincers cradling the object gently as it polished it clean from rubble. Something was amiss, something foreign.

The massive creature of the night sniffed the air above it, hissing as it let go of the shard, turning back towards the tunnel it had emerged from. It could feel something sinister on the rise. Something evil.

And it was coming for the core.
