So. . . this is my profile.

My name's Melissa and I'm 19 years old. I've read stories on fanfiction.net for a few years now and have recently decided that I would like to try out my skills at writing. I'm pretty sure that they will be only Harry Potter fics, mainly Lily and James. I have no idea how often I'll write since this is just something on the side for me. Mostly they will be one shots- if you read a one shot and think it has potential to do more, leave it in a review or send me a message. If I get a couple people that think that, I'll most likely try to expand on it.

I don't know about you guys, but I hate when authors don't finish a story. Some people have good reasons, others are just lazy. Sometimes, you just run out of ideas and it kind of falls apart. If I plan to write a story more than one chapter, I'll at least outline the whole thing before actually writing it to be sure that it won't be abandoned. I don't want to cut you guys off on a story you're enjoying, however dismal my writing may be.

That's another thing.. I have almost no confidance in my writing. I write because I have ideas and need to get them out of my head. It's one thing to have a good idea for a story, it's a totaly different thing to be able to capture the readers attention and keep it. So it would be much appreciated if you reviewed to tell me how I'm doing, and if you have any, give me a few pointers.

Good Night Baby - It's pretty much just a day in the life of Lily and James after they went into hiding. The song at the end of the story is by Tom Petty.

Cannoli Cream - Lily finding out she's pregnant and telling James. I may go on with this, but for now it is a oneshot.

Afternoon Tea - My first attempt at an adventerous type story; in my opinion, not one of my best, but still enjoyable, at least that's what I got from reviews, which is always lovely :-)

Spiders Aren't so Bad - I came up with this story when a few weeks into my first semester of my first year of college a rather decently sized spider decided to show up in my dorm room. The same thing happens to Lily, although unlike me, she has a boyfriend handy to save her from its large and hairy fangs. A little over-dramatic possibly, but 'tis what happens when you are severly arachnophobic :-) Enjoy, this is one of my favorites :-)

Normalcy - Especially since Deathly Hallows, I have loved the relationship between Sirius and Lily, though we of course don't know too much about it. Obviously they would have to be quite close for her to trust him with her sons life and her and James' life. This story is a lot of the relationship between Sirius and Lily, including a bit with Remus and Peter. It occurs quite early in Lily and James' marriage - Peter has not yet turned traitor. James is away on business for The Order and has been gone for about a week and a half. Sirius is at the Potters' spending some time with Lily. The story begins as a narrative and switches to Sirius' point of view - not what I was planning, but it just seemed to happen. Hopefully it's not too confusing. Please, please please review! I've had 50 hits so far, but no reviews :-( Thank's for those that have read it so far though!!!! I really do appreciate it!
