Author has written 4 stories for Naruto. I have absolutely nothing to say that can be of use to you. You were expecting to find something exciting? No. I'm not funny and nor do I have anything really interesting, only problems. I have and will continue to put my stories on hold for a while - you know, with school and all. Given that, I will tell a story along with whatever else I see fit to add here. The only reason why I came to this website in the first place was to find a good story, sit down, and read it for a while. Sadly, after 3 years since the time I originally came to this site, I have run out of all the stuff I like to read. I soon learned, within two days of making an account, almost all (if not all) of the things you can do on this website. Shortly after I had learned this, I released my first story. I do not remember what I called it, but I remember the plot and how... "well" written it was. Simply put, the plot, the way I put the story together, the grammar... it was horrible. I continue to believe that while my skills have improved over time, they are still horrible. Just... more tolerable now. Frustrated with failure (at the time), I deleted the story, made a "second start" of the thing, which was short lived. I waited a month to wait and see if anybody would find it, seeing as it had zero views. After that month, I decided to go look at my summary and story to see what was wrong. If you were there when I decided to do so, you would have seen me visibly recoiling from how bad the story was. Ashamed of myself, I decided to delete it. Over time, I slowly pumped out more stories for Pokemon and Naruto (No, the first story I ever made was not from these. In fact, it was from something I completely made up). Slowly, but surely, they improved in quality. However, even up till now, I have been limited in growth for lack of a beta-reader. I found out, about two months before the summer of 2018, that the end result of my writing greatly improves when somebody reads over my work and points out my errors to me before I actually submit it. Even after that, I still couldn't find anybody to be a beta-reader. So, recognizing the fact that I tend to have a hard time finding my own mistakes unless I wait a month or more to look at it again, I did my best to try and work my way around that. Back in early October of 2019, there was a portfolio assignment I had for school. The requirements were to create a 2 to 3 page long story, fiction or non-fiction. Given that there had been an idea for a story plaguing my mind for the last 2 months before then, I decided to refine it a bit, create a chapter 1 of it, and send that in. The story was about a teenager called Nikolai Solokov who was one of the unlucky 11 people to be experimented on. The experimentation was to find a way to create the first super soldiers with inhuman abilities such as enhanced strength, super speed, teleportation, and other strange abilities. The story takes place in a very large city divided into three districts. Each district is home to one of the three factions, promptly named Faction 1, Faction 2, and Faction 3. Those in Faction 1 live a relatively peaceful life with the ideals encouraging the use of emotion. The members of Faction 2 held logic and order over everything else, and act as the police and governing faction over the city. Finally, Faction 3 is the faction for the criminally insane... and happens to be the faction that the 11 people, or "Entities", were dumped in for field testing. Seemingly, those in Faction 3 had "freedom" of sorts... they had the ability to wander all around their district and do as they please. The only things keeping them from leaving were the high towering walls and numerous guards (who patrolled the walls) that lined the edge of the district. For the sake of making the story interesting, I chose to start the story with Nikolai receiving a warning that people would start coming after him. Seeing as he is an Entity, or commonly known as either Entity Seven or The Vanishing Entity, and that he was a member of Faction 3, he would not have the ability to go to any higher-ups to deal with the situation, since while Faction 2 acted as the police and guards, they were not the ones that you went to to get a problem solved. There was no system of government in Faction 3, given that Faction 3 is made of criminals and insane people, for the most part, aside from a few gangs here and there. Even then, given that Nikolai is one of the Entities, he wouldn't be able to get help from them even if there was a ruling government. The killing of Entities had been encouraged by Faction 2, so much so that whoever killed an Entity would be given the choice to leave the hell-hole of District 3, home of Faction 3. Shortly after submitting the first chapter to this story as my assignment (which I had to shorten, a lot more than I liked) I was congratulated on doing such a good job on it. Since then, I have only been working on making more of my story. On another subject, I will give a reason as to why I haven't been updating anything, really. I like to read. The types of stories that I like to read, however, aren't that common. You may notice a story called "The Ghost and the Darkness" in my favorites list. I like those. A lot. It's a story where Naruto is... for lack of a better word, insane. However, it isn't the same common "Naruto insane" fan made story you usually see, where Naruto is insanely powerful and has a massive drive to kill. No, this one is even better. Naruto is borderline schizophrenic and has extreme OCD. He isn't too powerful either. Plus, in this story, Sasuke isn't a dick towards Naruto. Granted, it isn't the best out there, but it's easily in my top favorites. I write only under two conditions: I have motivation AND an idea that has been bugging me for weeks, perhaps even months. My biggest success yet, Frozen Insanity, was my attempt at a re-creation of "The Ghost and the Darkness". Going over it now though, I realize I failed. While yes, some of you probably liked it, that doesn't change the fact that it sucks. I made Naruto more powerful, faster than I should have made it happen. I pulled a stupid in getting him into a relationship with Yugito, because I cannot write romance or fluffy stuff very well. I've never been in that kind of a relationship before, so I don't really know what to write. I also realized that I moved the story along too fast. I didn't add ENOUGH detail to it. I like details, a lot. If I want other people to do something, I should do it too, otherwise it just isn't fair. If I want to read something with a large amount of detail, that is well done, I need to be able to do the same thing. I have also realized that I took some wrong turns in the story, so I'm trying to learn from that. It's difficult, but I am trying to learn. I screwed up when I started to make Naruto "sane", seeing as how he is supposed to be "insane", hence the whole idea for the story, I screwed up the second I gave a hint towards him recovering from his insanity. I am currently working on another story, alongside with the other one that I mentioned, that I may be releasing the first chapter of it soon. I just need a beta-reader. I have the first chapter ready to go, but I want somebody else to read over it so they can point out any errors they find in it. Otherwise, it might suck and I won't notice until a month later. And I don't want to be giving you guys anything to read that's bad and would hurt your eyes. So I've opted to try and make quality over quantity. Although, I am going over Frozen Insanity once more. I am "deleting" the story and I will re-upload it... sort of. I will upload longer chapters. The chapters will be roughly similar, but I will be editing them and fixing them as I see fit. I will also be changing some things near the end of what I have written currently. Things I hate in Naruto stories: - Authors making Iruka look like a weak pathetic little bitch when it comes to combat of any form, including a mere spar with academy students. He's a Chuunin. He's got some skills dude. - Same as the above, just with Mizuki. Sure, he's a bad guy we all detest and hate. So what? He's still a Chuunin. It takes some level of skill to get to Chuunin rank. - I hate it when the main character or his friends are way too powerful. You can't simply make them god level in strength and pit them against opponents who are also god level. That makes the fight kinda boring. Correction: I find it REALLY boring when two god level people are having a fight. You can't just make anybody god level dammit! If you actually show the progress and the work the person took to GET TO god level, then I'm fine with it. Problem is, most authors who want a god level guy don't even show that. - You cannot just give the main character access to a lot, if not all, of the freaking kekkei genkai. They are special FOR A REASON! - I detest the rinnegan in any shape or form. It's too powerful. Like the main bad guy of the Naruto Shippuden series, Pein, it makes people "seem" like god. It's just not fun when the main character gets one. Plus, the rinnegan can be achieved from evolution through the sharingan. The sharingan is cool and all, but it has way too many damn evolutions. - You may have an OC or a character who is OOC, but they are not allowed to just fix everything. If done right, yes, I can accept that. However, it is rare. Very rare. I like a lot of hard rock and some types of metal. But not death metal. Death metal is basically just a bunch of screaming with music... hate that. Sometimes I'll listen to music by 21pilots. I use drawing and reading to calm myself down. I'm an avid gamer, but only for a few select games, like Krunkerio, Diepio, and Minecraft. I also really, really like anime. I dislike bright or warm colors such as red, pink, orange, and yellow. I prefer dark, cool colors like different shades of blue, purple (leaning closer to blue than red), dark grey, and black. Sometimes a mix of dark green and navy blue. I'm cold all the time. It confuses me as to why, but I am. I'm resistant to heat, or at least more so than your average person. Random things. - I have a question. If two gender-fluid people are having sex, and then they simultaneously change genders during sex and regret it later, who took advantage of who? I was asked this question by a friend and I still have no clue how to answer. - Do crabs think fish can fly? Or do they even have the brain capacity to do such a thing? - Out of all the kekkei genkai in Naruto, I'd choose the Byakugan. I am scared of many things, but mostly of things I cannot see. Even if I know I am alone, I still find myself looking over my back just to see if anybody suddenly appeared. This may or may not be because of horror movies that I may or may not have watched when I was 6. Plus, the Byakugan things is just plain awesome. You get to see all around yourself (mostly), through walls, and you get to see the world in a gray scale except for living beings. I'd finally be able to see where the damn spider goes whenever I look away for 0.01 seconds and kill it with the shoe I found. - I have a very strange taste in music. I like many things. Anywhere from bits of happy nightcore to German hard rock/metal to Russian hard bass music. I listen to hard rock and light metal most of the time though. Sometimes stuff made by Twenty One Pilots and related artists. I also have a small collection of Mongolian rock. - There are times when I trip over my words a lot, so "Hold on, I cannot English just yet." comes to mind in those situations. - What if mayonnaise came in cans??? You're - You fucking are. Your - It fucking belongs to you. They're - They fucking are. Their - It fucking belongs to them. There - A fucking place. We're - We fucking are. Were - Past fucking tense of are. Where - A fucking place. Then - A point in fucking time. Than - A method of fucking comparison. - "Say hi to the nice people" means "See you in hell" - Why is it that I can never find any decent insane Naruto fics? Sure, there are a FEW, but not really the kind I like. In the three years of being here (I didn't have an account for the first year), I have only found ONE of the Naruto insane fics that I like. It wasn't even well done... sorta. I loved the story, absolutely loved it. However, it didn't follow the rules stated above - what people may call "The vulgar guideline." Naruto insane stories are already rare. When you DO get one, often times it's a blood-thirsty giggly motherfucking over-powered as hell Naruto or a Gaara-esque Naruto that's overpowered with some tragic backstory to explain why he's insane. Let me remind you people, that ISN'T THE ONLY KIND OF INSANE! Naruto can be OCD, schizophrenic, the wall-flower, or whatever. Loud, blood-thirsty and strong as hell isn't the only option dammit. The Ghost and the Darkness and my own Frozen Insanity are examples of this. Learn some variety, people! - Of course I'm anti-vax. Vaccinations are a cause for other people still existing, especially the loud and obnoxious ones, which is irritating. - Hi, I'm TheOddOneIsHere and I have an addiction to reading fanfiction *cries softly*. If I don't read something that entertains me almost constantly I get depressed because there isn't anything else good to read and so I have to write to calm myself down, which is why my update speed is random as hell. - The point is not to die for your country, it's to get the other bastard to die for his country. - The fact that people had to put warnings on these things both upsets and amuses me. Children's Aspirin: Warning: Keep away from children Frozen Pizza: Warning: Do not eat before cooking Butcher Knife: Warning: Keep out of children Swedish Chainsaw: Do not attempt to stop chain with your hands or genitals Bleach: Warning: Do not drink - You laugh, I laugh. You cry, I laugh. You fall off a cliff, I laugh a little harder. - Taste the rainbow - EAT CRAYONS - I do what the cheerios tell me - The psychiatrist took away my special powers - The commandment for how you should treat your siblings/half siblings states: "thou shalt not kill," no matter how much you want to. - I don't do drugs, alcohol, or anything of that sort and yet I still feel like I'm high when I'm on my meds - Nothing can beat calmly walking through an inferno on the badass scale. NOTHING can beat it. I dare you to find something that can beat it. You know how in a lot of fan fics for the Narutoverse that either don't have a "god", or they have "Kami" or the Shinigami, or Naruto becomes God, or some character that is a parental figure for Naruto is the god of that world. Well... What if... WHAT IF (dramatic pause) that world was run by a mere child god for his own entertainment? He'd constantly create a new challenge for his "favorite toys", the main character, to create a conflict, or "fun" in his mind. My best one yet seems to be Toys of Ink. It has the most favorites and follows out of all of my stories... I did not see that coming. |
