He didn't care; not anymore. It didn't matter if Sam accused him of being selfish; he'd keep doing what he'd always done, because it was the right thing to do. After all, throughout his life, he'd always lost people and things... Pizza Pie 'verse – 4-yr old Sam, 8-yr old Dean, Awesome Uncle Bobby, Puppy Rumsfeld...and John being John – Bobby continued to listen, hearing Dean's voice as it floated down the hall; the big brother talking Sam through his usual bedtime routine as if it was just another night. As if the four-year old wasn't covered in blood. As if Dean wasn't also covered in blood.

Post 8x23, Pre 9x01 – Sick, Hospitalized Sam / Worried, Big Brother Dean – Dean had supported all of Sam's weight as he had carried the kid toward the ER, the double doors automatically sliding apart as the brothers had approached. Dean having barely cleared the entrance before he had started yelling for help...

AU. Takes place in 5x04, The End, when Zachariah transports Dean to 2014 to see what will happen if he says no to Michael. Future-Dean, has his ideas of how he should handle the situation, while Future-Castiel has other ideas. I really don't know how to summarize this without giving too much away. Apologies.

Set in the beginning of Season 6. Lisa's POV. Dean struggles to contain his grief.

Dean starts feeling Castiel's pain and to stop this connection they must find Gabriel, however the Angels find out about their connection first and try to break Dean by using any means possible.

The world's gone to hell. Or Hell has come to the world, actually - Hell raised up, the world didn't sink down. Not physically at least. Metaphorically it couldn't have fallen any farther. On blessedly simple and quiet days, when they desire nothing more than silence and companionship, Castiel and Dean sit and watch the stars. Endverse!

Post 8x17 – Hurt Sam / Big Brother Dean – Dean stared at Sam motionless on the bed; his heart hammering in his chest as his mind tallied his brother's symptoms and produced a diagnosis – internal bleeding. The kind of internal bleeding that was worse than just a few bloodied tissues hidden at the bottom of a trashcan.

'Cas doesn't speak, doesn't move and Dean can't see him and Dean knows he should be saying something harsh and a little pissed off, but the words won't come and he's not even breathing properly.' After a girl is brutally killed on his watch, Dean just needs someone to make all the blood go away. Angsty Destiel oneshot.

Tag to 8x17 - The boys have made their getaway and are travelling along in the Impala when Sam realizes Dean may have kept a detail or two from him about Cas' sudden departure from the crypt.

Testing a theory, Sam learns more about Dean's time in Hell than he ever wanted to know when he sees the things that his brother has managed to keep hidden. Dean must then face a time he'd rather forget or lie to Sam to keep his brother from learning anymore. /Angst/guilty!Sam & Upset/angsty/big brother!Dean. Sam is fourteen years old and doesn't really need Dean anymore. He tries to restructure their relationship... and does more harm than good.
