Author has written 2 stories for Harry Potter. Merry Meet! My name is Brandi, using the pen-name SeekerOfMagick. I discovered fanfiction when I was just twelve years old (almost a decade ago), and I cannot even tell you how much it actually helped me cope with life's traumas. I fell out of it immediately after high school, but it was such a major part of my childhood and adolescence that I come back to play every now and then! ;) Since I have more on my plate and more things to do now, I typically only write one-shots, but I love reading long multi-chapters, especially when they're based on the Marauder's era (yes, my favorite ships are Jily and Wolfstar--how did you know?). Some of you might wonder about certain phrases I use or how I have magick-with-a-k in my pen-name, so let me be honest: I really am interested in magick, and mysticism, and the secrets of the Universe, and the puzzles of the soul. I believe in all kinds of strange and interesting things, and if any of that interests you even a little bit, PLEASE send me a PM! I will be more than happy to hear from you! I, SeekerOfMagick, challenge myself! I'm proud to be part of the HPFC forum. Love of Lupins (Community) I'm the manager of a community dedicated to all things Lupin-centric. Most stories feature Remus (of course), but will also contain Lyall, Hope, Tonks, and Teddy. However, there is no "one and only pairing" to be found. I aim for there to be plenty of Remus / Tonks, sure -- but there are also a lot of Wolfstar, and I'm open to various other pairings, ranging from Remus and Hermione to OCs to anything else, just as long as a member of the Lupin family plays an important role in the story. I don't think I'm looking for staff right now, but if you know of any stories you would like to see added, just shoot me a PM and I'll get back to you whenever I can! My criteria for being added isn't very difficult to meet, in my opinion, but here it is if you're interested: 1) I generally dislike drabbles, so I prefer all stories to reach at least a thousand words. BUT there are some exceptions to this, so if you're drabble reaches only six hundred words, suggest it to me anyway and I'll see about adding it. ;) 2) Relatively well-written. I pay attention to grammar, plot, characterization, and consistency . . . but by no means am I expecting professional work! Fanfiction is meant to be fun and make us all happy, and as long as every other paragraph doesn't have thirteen glaringly obvious mistakes, you're fine. :) 3) Generally speaking, I'm not comfortable reading about a lot of alcohol or substance abuse, so if every chapter deals with things like that, no matter how impressive the plot or how well-written, I'm probably not going to be able to read it all the way through, and thus won't add it to the community. 4) I AM totally fine with violence and various dark themes, as long as they aren't glorified and are treated with respect towards victims and survivors. In other words, your story can contain child abuse, or racism, or sexism, or homophobia, or sexual assault, but I won't allow anything that promotes or makes light of those subjects. In other words, I can stomach one or two shitty jokes about rape (for example) if the rest of the story is pretty gold, but if I feel it's excessive then I don't care how good the rest of it is. Really, that's not hard to meet, and if you come across a story that you think would be appropriate for the Lupin community, or even if you write one, then please message me and tell me about it! I love hearing from fellow Lupin fans, after all! Merry we meet, |
