Author has written 12 stories for Teen Titans, and Teen Titans. I like many types of fandoms but my favriotes are Teen Titans, both cartoon and comic (the comics though are better than the show, I just can write the show better), and Spider-Man. Ok a few things that I want to say, first off if you are going to go into a characters past, especially in Teen Titans use the past from the comics. If you arent then say that you changing it. http:/// this is a link that has all of the pasts. Secondly, Azarath is a pacifict cult that is from another dimension not another planet and Trigon did not rule there. Arella went there to get away from Trigon. He just destroyed it thats it. Thirdly, this is for fun people dont stress out about it. Most people here are kind people who read these things for fun, dont worry if you dont update right away and dont worry about what people think. Let your creative juices flow and your stories will be a lot better. I said the first thing because I gurantee for the most part if you use the characters past from the comics your story will be better because the creators of these characters went into a lot of thought to create them and did a much better job than any of us could do. If we could do better chances are we would be comic writers. Next would be shock in fics. Yes shock can be good but not just for shock value. Most people have already seen or read along the lines of what you are trying to do and if you just want a rise then for the most part it won't work. Shock should be used to progress a story and make it more intersting. A great example of this is dr.evil 99's Paragon of Animals chapter 8, that is just a great example. Now pet peeves concerining characters in Teen Titans. Beast Boy is not an idiot hes not a genius but he is not stupid either. He just uses humor to cover up his insecurties and to help him forget about his past. He makes jokes to help him forget about his biological parents dying when he was around the age of eight. I don't really see Raven as a gothic girl, more as an intellectual young girl who enjoys dark literature and things of that nature. Yes she is a little cold, but she uses that to help control her powers. She does care about her friends very deeply since they are essentially the only family that she has ever had. Starfire is also not stupid she is just very naive. Go to a place like India or China and see how well you fit into the culture, I gurantee there would be a little while before you could really adapt to the culture. Cyborg is not just a big brother type. He is an intellgent former athlete that does act like a big brother but has more dimensions to him. He just recently got his cybernetic parts and is trying to adjust to them, assuming the cartoon history is very similar to the comic history. Robin is not a jerk, he is just obsessive. He was raised by Batman from the time that he was eight or nine, assuming that it is Dick. He does have a stick up his butt sometimes but he also truly cares about his team. |
