My current niche is the Newsies fandom (musicalverse), and I write stories that run the gamut from drabbles to long fic, though I tend to prefer the latter. I'm still relatively "new" to this fanfiction business, but I've always been intrigued by the potential of characters and what makes them relatable, complex, and engaging. There’s usually more to a person than what you see at first glance, and that's what I enjoy digging into when I write. You'll find that most of my stories are character-driven and detail-oriented, because I like the challenge of trying to bring out subtleties or angles that aren't readily apparent in the source material.

Something Worth Winning - (In progress) David Jacobs, perpetual new kid and outsider, just wants his life to return to normal...but instead, he finds his life turned upside down by an accident, a strike, and an unexpected friendship. Going up against The World is only the beginning for David and his fellow newsboys Jack and Race as they learn to navigate the challenges of life after the strike while remaining true to their convictions and chasing their dreams.

This story is, among other things, my attempt to give Davey the development, appreciation, and protagonist role that he didn't get in Newsies by virtue of it being Jack's story. Part character study, part conglomeration of “missing scenes” from the musical, part friendship fic, and part romance (JackxKatherine and slow-burn DaveyxOC), it's an in-depth look at the relationships formed between the key players of the strike that explores what might have been going on behind the scenes and beyond. Other stories in this universe include Interstices (a one-shot collection and supplement of sorts to SWW), Recollection, Rhyme and Reason (poetry collection), and Resolve.

Kings and Kingdoms - (Almost complete) Why would a gambler with a penchant for betting on horses wish for a pair of new shoes instead of a permanent racetrack box? Can a dirt-poor newsie come into possession of a solid gold watch by any honest means? Is having your own bed (and an indoor terlet) really all it’s cracked up to be? Follow the newsies as they sound off about their wishes as King of New York, and find out whether or not those wishes come true in this vignette-style story.

Dyin’ To Get There (Modern AU) - (Complete) Racetrack Higgins and Davey Jacobs have never gotten along well, but when their mutual friend Jack calls in a favor, they find themselves reluctantly teaming up for a road trip that will take them from Manhattan to Santa Fe...and into a handful of unexpected and comical adventures along the way.

Other stories in this universe include Camaraderie (crossover with Big Hero 6) and Swappin’ Random Presents With Me Chums.
