Hi. Assuming that someone is actually reading this, because I'm not sure that people look at these things, uh... welcome, I guess. I write Fanfiction - Saga of Tanya the Evil and Harry Potter, mostly - and, after sitting on a large stockpile of my writing, I'm starting to post a whole bunch of the stuff. Yeah... I don't have any other social media - for now, I suppose - so if you want updates on how stuff is going, you'll... just have to wait. My opinions on various things related to the Fandoms I'm interested in: Saga of Tanya the Evil: Anime: A wonderful time. I loved it, wish there was more. Movie: It was wonderful, I loved it. I would have liked to see a bit more of the Africa campaign, but everything we got was good. Loria can die in a fire. KonoSuba: Main series Light Novel: Love it. It does suffer in some areas. It isn't formatted the best, at least where I could find it; it feels like some of the volumes are really unneeded, but I like where it's headed. Anime: Pretty good. It adds a lot of good stuff to keep it good, and the addition of visuals means that I like most of it more than the Light Novels, though I wish there were more of it. I think the way they changed the end of the second season wasn't necessary. Movie: Pretty good. I don't like how much they cut from the Light Novels - they skip Alcanretia and the Tranquility Girls entirely - and I don't like how much they changed the ending fight. The Crimson Demons being dickheads and teleporting around was cut, which was annoying, and the final final fight was... weird. I like that Sylvia wasn't killed anticlimactically, but isn't that sort of a thing in the series? That things don't turn into completely over-the-top affairs? Other than those two things - and everyone making fun of Kazuma almost getting raped, and that touching Sylvia being somehow comparable to that - I loved it. Visuals were stunning, characters were as solid as ever, and I can't wait for... whatever is next, be it a movie or a season three. Spinoff Light Novels: All great! Megumin's were nice backstory, Vanir's were fun, and reading up on Dust is always entertaining, if for no other reason than being able to mock someone even more pathetic than Kazuma. Revenge of Verdia: An interesting game to watch, though it does stretch the canon, with Kazuma using their powers. Still, pretty good. Harry Potter: Novels: Uh, I love them? Is there even an argument there? Movies: Could have been better, but I don't hate anything about them... besides how short they are. Cursed Child: I don't think it's that bad. Is it up to regular standard? No, but it could have definitely been worse. It really shouldn't have been a play, where Rowling's ability to put us in the places she's describing is severely limited, but the past is the past. Fantastic Beasts: Liked the first one, didn't love the second one for all the same reasons everyone else doesn't like it. Hoping for more from the third. Wizards Unite: I like playing the game a lot, since it's about as close as I'll get to being a wizard without writing a self-insert story. I wish they tried to distance it from the movie's cast and make it more in line with the books, and the descriptions of the Foundables could be more relevant to modern wizards instead of the time when the movies first came out. Otherwise, it isn't too laggy and I have fun with it. Pokemon: Sword/Sheild: Playing Sword a lot, having fun with it. Liked how it was trying to tackle the energy crisis, and though that felt a bit like Gen 3 again, story was fine overall. Like the new pokemon, I wish that Megas stayed around but I don't mind the Dynamax gimic. |
