I am a 22 year old former-student at the University of Cambridge who has graduated with a degree in History. I am currently completing a MA in Medieval studies at the University of York.

In spite of being a recent addition to , I do in fact have another account that is over 5 years old. However, my interests and indeed my writing has changed so much that I decided to discontinue that account. I want to distance myself from the 16 year old me. In spite of being a "veteran" I began very few stories, and I never managed to finish any of them! Hopefully this new account hails a fresh start where I actually get something completed.

I have always loved writing, like many people on this site I have tried my hand at original writing and even preferred that for a while but recently I have found a love for a couple of "fandoms" that has made me want to write fanfiction again, as a way of escaping my "normal" life and satisfying my craving for creative writing. I once wanted to be a novelist but more realistically I'd like to be a historian. Still, I will never give up loving fiction and so maybe fanfiction will ease me back into the world I had abandoned for so long.

Favourite TV shows: Doctor Who, Stargate SG1, Life on Mars, Red Dwarf and loads of other stuff I can't remember!

Favourite Books: Gormenghast, Watership Down, The Master and Margarita. Do Batman comics count as books?

I also like films, but far too many to list. At the moment I'm working on a Doctor Who and Pirates of the Caribbean crossover, because PoTC is probably one of my favourite recent trilogies in spite of all the bashing it has attracted!

Edit in March 2008: My Doctor Who/PotC crossover is on hiatus because I reached the point of burn-out with it and I don't want you to read a sub-par chapter for the sake of me finishing it more quickly. It WILL come back, but I need to get the love back for both those fandoms first. I have the ending in mind and how to get there, but all I ask is your patience.

I've not given up on fic writing. I'm working on a series of Batman one-shots at the moment because The Dark Knight hype has reawakened my Joker love. I only hope that I'm not completely murdering his character.
