Author has written 23 stories for Harry Potter, St. Trinian's, NCIS, and Raising Hope. Name: Tammy T, Abbyforever or Slytherin_Abbyforever She's back... Age: 30 History: I have had trouble with in the past, and had another account here where I started posting my first ncis story, unexpected visitor, but that account wont let me in anymore. It's a shame, really. I also have a livejournal /users/ Writing: I have written over 80 (approx) stories in the last several years, when I started publishing my writing to the net. However, Slytherin Princess is my first attempt at the Harry Potter fandom. If you could not tell, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger are my favourite characters from HP. And all my future HP fics I have started are Dramione. I came straight from the NCIS fandom. What is currently occupying all my time: Work, definitely work. And getting married. And building a house. Found me a man, then forgot my friends. UPDATE: Now have a 1yr old, so trying to dust off the old keyboard when I'm allowed to by my tiny little boss. And still working and wifing. Reviews lately have showed me how I've missed writing and what a scumbag I am to keep people waiting this long I was once a beta for many writers, over many fandoms. Therefore I prefer to check my own work when I get the time, but do not have the patience to wait for another person to read my chapters before I post them. I did score some of the highest marks in English Language though, and most of my mistakes are simple typo's, that are usually eventually rectified. I do have a style that I choose to write. I feel it is the most logical and ledgible method. Any problems with this style, let me know. I write over several fandoms. Therefore my style of language changes depending on that fact. For my Harry Potter and St. Trinians fics, I am writing in the point of view of English characters. I alter my euphemisms and semantics to match these characters, which I am familiar with having grown up in Australia where British English is that which we are taught. I am also familiar with that which American's use since I have immersed myself with that culture for as long as I can remember. That is what I favour for NCIS and any other American fandom. Criticism is always welcome. However, I have disabled anonymous reviews as those are the ones that feel the need to express their internet courage and are nasty for the sake of being nasty. If you have a problem with my writing, please express it. However I have the right to explain myself and therefore require you are identified in your review. I have been writing for many years and have received a great deal of bad reviews. I'm a big girl, I can take it. Especially when it comes to being real with characters. OOC writing rather bothers me. However, not nearly as much as plagiarism. I have had work of mine blatently stolen and it was one of the most insulting things someone could do to me. Therefore if you feel that one of my stories sounds a little too much like someone elses, please tell me. I have been directed toward a few parenting class fics in the HP fandom that I have since read and although the general idea is the same, the rest of the story is as different as I can get it. Realism in my fics has also been called into question in the past. Sometimes, my fics can be too plot heavy. I am aware. But I have had a rather exciting life, with a great deal of drama, which when retold has also been called into question. A lot of the time, events are based around my own life and therefore are as real as it gets. Babies and small children are usually aged around at least one of my four nephews or two nieces. Therefore, again are as real as can get, in regards to development, speaking etc. I love naming my OC's. These characters usually have some rather odd names. I love odd names and if I feel our characters would do the same, definitely HP is prone to odd names, I'll incorporate. Reviews are love. I do not demand them, and hold updates hostage until I get them. In fact I rather resent writers that do that. Writing is a hobby, and while reviews are fantastic, they serve merely as feedback to tell the writer if they are doing a good enough job or not. I am ever grateful when I get reviews. However, just saying 'update soon' wont necessarily work :) I apologize to my NCIS peeps that just recently got an update after nearly two years without a word. That'll teach any writer out there to start 14 stories for a single fandom, at the same time. I do like having banners for my fics. However, as stated I only have paint to work with, and absolutely no skill in creating anything any more visually stimulating than that. So if someone wanted to improve my banners for me, I would gladly take you on, supply pics etc. Slytherin_Abbyforever Banner for my fics (made by me, on paint) "Then came a baby boy." http:///albums/cc343/Slytherin_Abby/untitled.jpg "Welcome to the fold, Girly." http:///albums/i238/Abbyforever2/banner.jpg "What have you done?" http:///albums/cc343/Slytherin_Abby/whathaveyoudonebanner.jpg "The Slytherin Princess." http:///albums/i238/Abbyforever2/untitled-3.jpg "Fear." and "The Reason." http:///albums/i238/Abbyforever2/untitled-2.jpg All post Hiatus gabby fics (NCIS). http:///albums/i238/Abbyforever2/My20creations/banner-1.jpg "What had to be done" reference photo 1: http:///albums/d81/Abby_forever/Pauley20and20Michael/cbstca06_011.jpg "What had to be done" reference photo 2: http:///albums/d81/Abby_forever/Pauley20and20Michael/tca-cbs_hq_0231.jpg |
