I can't really remember when or where I started writing fanfiction. I recently found a time capsule that I had made for myself when I was seven years old. In it were not only the usual trinkets and pictures, but a few pages of Star Wars fic. It was exceptionally rudimentary- how else would a first-grader write?- but strictly speaking that was the beginning.

I most enjoy writing unusual pairings or alternate universes. I feel that fic that rehashes an author's plot too closely is simply boring. For that reason, I really won't touch stories that I absolutely adore, because I write to repair what I feel is wrong with an author's universe. As they say, don't fix what isn't broken.
