Author has written 7 stories for Twilight. Regarding Perchance to Dream: You will notice there has been a minor change to the title. There have been no changes to the content, as this was a co-written piece, and I would never make content changes without the express permission of the other author. But what I have done, in my version only, is add the original working title to the title of this piece. I have done it simply because I think it will help the reader understand just what's happening to our B & E. Mayhaps it will, mayhaps it won't. And mayhaps I've been reading too much Stephen King. And now, back to my regularly scheduled profile. Yo. Well, that was a standard greeting in my day. Woodstock, The Dead, playing guitar in coffee shops near the campuses of Brooklyn College and Queens College. Even met my husband when he was playing guitar while sitting on top of a rock in Central Park. I kid you not. I took the guitar out of his hands and played and sang with him. That was in 1973. Ah, those were the days. Long curly hair, wire rim glasses... wait. That part hasn’t changed. Except now, the hair is gray. clearing throat Anyway...in the summer of 2008 my younger daughter (who’s now hit legal drinking age) bounced around the house for months, insisting I read this book called Twilight. I finally relented, read a few pages, realized it was about a 17 year old girl and set it aside. But it called to me. It sat on the end table in my living room and called to me. It sang, “Read me...read me...” My eyes glazed over, my breathing became labored, and with my arms raised in front of me I goose-stepped across the living room and... Read the damned book. I read it in one day. Then I bounced around the house, frantically searching for any sign of the next book. A day later I was ready to read Eclipse. And then...THANK THE GODS IT WAS ALREADY PUBLISHED I read BD. And I wept. For a number of reasons. And then, it was like...what do I do now? I wept again. I wasn’t ready for it to end. And I damned well wasn’t ready to accept the fade-to-black honeymoon scenes. Grrrrr It was a miracle. Someone told me about something called Fanfiction. I went off into the wilds of the internet and lo and behold, someone wrote the honeymoon scene. And the sun rose in the eastern sky, and it was good. But it wasn’t enough. And so I searched, high and low, through hill and dale, until I found . And Twilighted. And suddenly I was awash in the goodness that was fanfiction, and I could rest again, because I would never, ever, have to leave Edward and Bella. And it was the seventh week, and I rested. But not for long. It was no longer enough to read it, I had to write it. And this, dear friends, was the end of my sanity. One day I’ll find that rock in Central Park, and with my guitar in hand I’ll play, and sing, and recite the glory of the love of Bella and Edward. Because I am now officially part of the zombie pack, high on whatever SM put into those books. My brain is now mush and my headstone will read “Wait, I promised an update for next week!” Just a note about The Deluded Many of the places mentioned in The Deluded are real. As they come up I'll try to post interesting links. Ghost Town in the Sky, mentioned at the end of chapter 3, is probably one of the strangest of them. Okay, a little early, but this link is too good not to post. Chapter 4, and Ghost Town in the Sky Eli's (actually Carlisle's) home http:///plan_details.asp?id=3680 Notes about Across the Universes Unlike The Deluded, no mystery here. Two separate universes, one that has vampires, one that does not, are breached by the book found in Chapter 1. The vampire universe starts off as canon, and nothing will ever be the same again... Jedigirlsc has started a thread over on the Twilighted Forums, and I'm happy to discuss, answer questions, bake brownies, serve wine... http:///forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=9628&p=994310#p994310 Notes about Collapse the Universes A true sequel that picks up 15 years later, and will make absolutely no sense if you haven't read Across the Universes. It may make no sense even if you have ;-) For the most part, the science I'm presenting is real in terms of it being mathematically feasible according to the physicists who chat about it. Where I'm taking it is all in my poor little mind, so don't start panicking about that Collider at CERN. Well, you can panic if you like, but not because of my silly little fic. A word of warning - this story may get graphic, and I don't just mean lemons. If you've read The Deluded, you'll know what I mean. However, at this point in time, I don't intend to use maggots. I think. We'll see. |
