Stupid stuff you probably don't care to know...

I love to cook, especially desserts. I make a mean cupcake, always from scratch. Boxed mixes are evil and should be destroyed. I love Wilton cake decorating magazines, would be content to watch Ace of Cakes on constant loop, and am known to Tivo those Food Network cake challenge shows. If I could do anything I wanted, I'd open up my own bakery and spend my days crafting outrageously awesome cakes. My favorite cake? Usually carrot, but sometimes red velvet, maybe chocolate, but never just plain old vanilla.

I am convinced that there is a teenage girl living inside of me, and that she controls most of my behavior. I really do try to be responsible and mature, but she forces me to love things like Twilight and Gossip Girl. If I ever go far enough to start listening to the Jonas Brothers or organizing my things in Lisa Frank folders, someone please commit to the nearest mental health facility.

Pine-Sol is my favorite smell.

I am an avid collector, mostly of stupid shit that has no purpose or value. My biggest collection is probably my albums. I have about 750 (or more). I love the hum and crackle of the needle scratching over the vinyl. It's such a warm, comforting sound. Other collections include Star Wars memorabilia, Atlanta Braves stuff, baseball cards, water globes, Boyd's Bears, old books (especially with inscriptions inside), and anything related to Catholicism. More embarrassingly, I have a huge collection of NSYNC and Britney Spears stuff from college, all of which I can't seem to part with. I've also recently amassed a bunch of Twilight stuff, but I'll deny it if you tell anyone.

My mind works in mysterious ways, but I've been fortunate enough to meet friends that think in exactly the same way. A friend's (thankfully former) boyfriend once said we speak in code. He just didn't get the joke. I quote movies, song lyrics, and even youtube videos. I curse like a sailor at times and my mind is often in the gutter. I always look for a good "that's what she said" or "your mom" in any conversation. Immature, yet it never fails to make me smile.

I have a pug named Pickles.

I am fascinated by Catholicism, possibly obsessed. Nuns are my favorite. I don't care for the current Pope. I collect related things--porcelain nun statues, rosaries, candles, holy water, books, even a nun that spits fire. I'm not Catholic, but I like to watch mass on the Inspirational channel. Is The Pope Catholic? might be the greatest board game ever made.

Since watching My So-Called Life as a teen, I've had an intense desire to dye my hair an obnoxious shade of red. I keep getting closer with each trip to the salon.

Oh, and I just got an Edward Cullen Barbie doll for Christmas. He's awesome, but not as awesome as my Cardboard Cullen.
