![]() Author has written 30 stories for Harry Potter, Spring Awakening, Misfits, 2009, Mighty Boosh, Sherlock, and Doctor Who. Good God, this profile needs updating. Hello. I just thought I'd put up a little section about me, so you can attach an author to the stories. My name is Chalcedony. In reality, I am anxious, awkward, and a little too obsessed with things that aren't real. The chance you will ever meet me in reality is minimal. Luckily for you, I'm also anxious, awkward and obsessional online! However, if you want to talk to me, you will find me (hopefully) easy company. I've met some lovely people on this site over the years and am happy to talk to anyone who fancies dropping me a line. *Awkward* There are several things I love, and these are the things I have written for. I joined this site years ago when I couldn't write to save my life, and I like to think I'm improving all the time. As a writer, I tend towards the slashy side, but only for pairings that I think have genuine potential. My stories usually have something to do with either losing something, or finding something that is lost. My favourite characters tend to be the ones who are overshadowed and yet are extraordinarily brilliant in their own right. Freud would love me. I am from Britain, and so have a love for all British comedy - The Mighty Boosh is one of my regular fan-writing beaus. However, this also makes me incredible susceptible to Brit-picking. I like to leave reviews which show some analysis of an author's work, although sometimes I'm so bowled over by people's level of talent that I can't form proper sentences. I will always try to reply to your review, even if it's just a quick thank you, because I'm a great believer in being grateful - that said, if you favourite and don't review... I worship Microsoft Word. I am obsessed with Greek mythology, classic literature and modern classic literature and plan to take a phD in Creative Writing (despite the current economic climate). I spend more time quoting things than coming up with my own things so say, and have a saying stored for every occasion, probably because I lead a fairly sad life. My aim in life is to see a book that I have written being written fanfic about. That would just be the coolest thing. I am a feminist and a liberal, and I despise prejudice-based hatred. I think that's all for now. If you have any questions...anyone? Bueller? Au Revoir. Chalcedony Rivers / Chalcedony / Chalce / Chalcy / Any variety you can think of. |
