![]() Author has written 9 stories for X-Men, Harry Potter, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, Avengers, and Superboy. Hi. I'm a semi-professional writer working on the great American science fiction novel. I'm also a born again Christian. Surprisingly, I see no conflict in those two statements. I enjoy Role Playing Games, the WWE, Star Trek in all it's manifestations, Star Wars, Country Music, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Darkover, David Eddings and an eclectic variety of other things. I'm 57 years old and have a BA in English. I've been a fan of the X-Men since purchasing Uncanny X-Men #65 (the Z'Nox invasion) at a Greyhound bus station more years ago than I care to remember. I hope you enjoy my stories. Harry Potter & the Magical Mutants is eight chapters in and the ninth "Classes Start and Trouble, Too" is in the works, but may be kept on a back burner for a while. A Young Avenger at Hogwarts, Book One: Romancing the Stone has been eating up a lot of my time lately and is just a bit too much fun. I just released Chapters 9 and 10, along with re-releasing, heavily editing and extending chapters 1-8. There are a lot of new scenes and some others are greatly expanded. I think it's worth it even for those who already read the eight to do so again. Marvel My Way isn't so much a story (although there will be a plethora of stories to be told as part of it), as a challenge. I'm unhappy with the way Marvel has been treating it's characters and stories, so I had to ask myself: If I was in charge of Marvel, what would I do with it? This is my answer. I challenge anyone else with the inclination to respond. Slayers: Buffy and the X-Men is four chapters in and the fifth is sufficiently close to wrapping that it could be the next chapter published. I think the combination of mutants and Slayers is an interesting concept to play with and I think I've come up with some interesting character pastiches. X-Force: The Last Generation is my take on Days of Future Past and one of the stories I'm actually most proud of. Only two chapters are published, but the third is in the works, although it could take a while to get finished. Valor of the X-Men is a project I have to wonder about. I'm not even all that sure where it came from, but I think it was a lot of years ago, shortly after the Dark Phoenix story line wrapped in the comics. I hated it and started coming up with ideas as to how I would redeem it if given the chance. Decades and innumerable approaches later and I'm well into Chapter 3, which could see publication before the end of the summer. Mixing young versions of Superman and other DC heroes with the Marvel X-Men universe is interesting. Not Your Father's X-Men is your basic gender bender X-Men story, but I REALLY like the way it's coming out. Only one chapter is up, but the second is well along the way. I personally think it's worth the read. It should be noted in conclusion that I'm moderately obsessive compulsive in my style. I don't tend to do things in small and subtle ways. The cast of characters in my stories and the current battle royal in A Young Avenger are but two examples. After all, why do anything small when you can go crazy over the top and blow it out of the water. |
