Author has written 18 stories for Hunger Games, and Harry Potter. *03/11/2015* New Announcements: Harry Potter and the Warrior's Code: Still in progress. Not on hiatus or anything like that. I've run into a few bumps as far as writer's block goes and I can't make promises about the update times, but I'm plowing forward with that one. To Be a Hero: I am... trying. I'll say it's on temporary hiatus for the time being, but not discontinued. I'm afraid HPTWC was too similar to this fic, and writing them both at once started feeling repetitive. The former, having had a good twenty thousand words on To Be a Hero, has thus received first priority. However, I'm hoping my muse will eventually return for this fic, because I adore writing Draco. I've also been experimenting with several new (as in, outside of Harry Potter and the Hunger Games) fandoms, and might consider publishing works in those areas if I can find an idea that's easy enough to latch onto. That's up in the air, but I wouldn't be surprise if a new fic or two pops up in the near-future. My (old) Stories The Hunger Games Genius and Insanity/A Marvelous Game My current favorite stories because I missed first person and I fell in love with Jack Quaid when I watched the Hunger Games movie. Anyhow, it's a Marvel/Katniss story from his POV, and is pretty much a retelling of the Hunger Games with some major differences. I think it's one of my better stories, but I may just be flattering myself. But it is very different and kind of interesting, so I recommend it to any Hunger Games fans. Genius and Insanity details the 74th Games, while A Marvelous Game is a dramatically different version of Catching Fire. Unfortunately, the latter is on hiatus. I'm not sure when (or if) I'll get back to writing it. Fishing for People/Eyes Like the Ocean/Spreading the Fire This is pretty much the Hunger Games series, plus Finnick's Games, from his POV. The whole thing is in Katniss's universe, with several OCs, but nothing that really diverges from cannon. Fishing for People actually won an award for the best Finnick/Annie fic in the Hunger Games Summer Awards, although there's not much actual Finnick/Annie in that installment of the trilogy. However... these are my first stories on the site, and all of them are loaded with errors. I was planning on going through and editing all of them, but through Fishing for People and ELTO, there are so many plot inconsistencies, dialogue problems, and faulty pacing that I'd have to rewrite the whole series. Given that I really don't have time to do that, I'm just going to leave them like they they are. In my opinion, they really aren't very good, but I suppose you can take a crack at them if you'd like. Sibling Rivalry Alessia Griffin, a really smart, rather spoiled girl from District 2 gets tossed into the arena... with her brother, who just happened to have trained for the Games his entire life. Alessia, in order to survive against her blood-thirsty brother, portrays herself as a ditz, but her plan backfires when her brother informs the most fierce tribute in the Games of her intelligence. Interested, this tribute strikes a deal with Alessia, and the Games really heat up from there. Another early fic. Any problems with it are going to stay problems, so I apologize for awkward dialogue, poor grammar, etc. Harry Potter From Impossibilities Come Miracles It's my first Harry Potter fic, and was actually kind of cheesy and terrible when I wrote it. I have gone through and cleared up a lot of grammar mistakes. The plot isn't great and it's not my favorite story, but it isn't terrrible now that I've edited it. If you're a Dramione fan, I'd check it out, but maybe not if you're looking for a good read. To be entirely honest, I'd only read two of the Harry Potter books and only watched three of the movies when I turned this out, so keep that in mind when looking at the characterizations. Crazy for You James Potter (Harry's son), is a notorious prankster by the time that his seventh year at Hogwarts rolls around, while Sierra Scamander (an OC, and Luna's daughter), is quiet outsider who wishes for friends. After James and Fred Weasley II discover her getting picked on in the hall one day, they take Sierra under their wing, dragging her into their little group and learning a thing or two from her as they do. It's more or less plotless, hopefully funny, and pretty much an easy read. I just went through and edited it, so it's a decent enough story now, if not a bit ridiculous at some points. Why Can't it Be a Joke Fred and George are experimenting with a product for their joke shop when they wind up in the past and accidentally break up the fight that would have killed Ariana Dumbledore. Albus and Grindelwald leave together, and Fred and George manage to return to the future... only to find it ruled by the Order of the Deathly Hallows. Muggleborns are kept as slaves, the Weasleys are evil, and Tom Riddle is the Head Chef as Hogwarts. Not only that, but it turns out that the Fred and George from the alternate universe are lurking in the twins' minds and taking over whenever they least expect it. Fred and George, having no other option, help to fuel a rebellion against Dumbledore's mighty army. It's probably my best early story (if you ignore the poor editing), but it is unfinished and as of now will stay that way. Prejudice and Pride It's a Tom/Ginny time travel story that starts out really cliche, but has a lot of really big twists and turns, and a relatively in-depth plot. Even though the general tone is kind of light for the most part, the story is a lot more than just a romance. I can't really say anything more since I don't want to give anything away, but it's my most popular story by a fair amount. There are a few awkward parts and it needs some editing, but it's plotty and fairly well-written, so I'd go for it. |
