![]() Author has written 11 stories for Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts, RWBY, Yu-Gi-Oh, and Yu-Gi-Oh GX. Discord: @legacyreturns You didn't ask but in case you care, these are some of my favorite things. Favorite Anime: Naruto, Bleach, Pokemon, Code Geass, Full Metal Alchemist (2003 and Brotherhood), Fairy Tail, Blue Exorcist, Yu-gi-oh (as a whole) Favorite Video Games: Kingdom Hearts, Pokemon Favorite Kingdom Hearts Characters: -Roxas: He's the first character to dual wield keyblades and those couple of hours I spent with him during the prologue to KH2 cemented him as not only an important character for the series, but also a tragic one. Not all tragic characters are done right but Roxas is shown to just take all of the hardship that the world has given him and still stand his ground in the face of those superior to him like Xemnas. -Lea: Who wields a keyblade with more style than him? No one, that's who. But seriously, Lea has been a pretty pivotal character and he steals the show whenever he's on-screen (except for when the Guardians fought Terranort...we don't talk about that). As Axel, Lea sacrificed himself so Sora could have a chance of getting Kairi back from the remaining members of the original Organization XIII and as Lea, he's the only reason Sora wasn't -norted. -Namine: Even though she totally screwed with Sora's life, she's very special plot-wise and one of the most mysterious characters in the series. She was barely in KH3 but I thought that her inclusion in the Final World was very well deserved for someone as unique as her. 'm excited for the Re: Mind DLC to see what else we'll see of her. -Xaldin: One of the most terrifying Organization XIII members from what he's capable of both in and out of battle. He's a complete threat during his boss battle and an equally lethal psychological threat in the story. Favorite Pokemon Characters (Games and Anime) -Cynthia: Really? I have to explain? Fine...what other champion has a team that is as difficult to prepare for as hers? Cynthia's team has some of the highest levels in the main story of any pokemon game, amazing type coverage and synergy, and -Ethan/Gold: He collects 16 gym badges, takes on Indigo Plateau twice, completely wipes out Team Rocket, and defeats Red. -Volkner: Total badass and strongest Sinnoh gym leader Favorite Pokemon: -Noivern: Loved it since the moment I laid eyes on it. -Garchomp: Really? I have to explain this one too? -Lucario: KA-ME-HA-ME-Aura Sphere! It's really cool that he got a signature move and the whole concept behind an aura-wielding anubis-looking pokemon is really cool to me. -Tyrunt: Cute but tough-looking little guy. -Aggron: This is truly a monster among monsters. Not the best competitively but it definitely looks like the kind of thing you would not want to find in the wild so if you were to own one, you'd be the talk of town. Aether Academy Rules and Guidelines 1. Your character MUST be submitted by direct message and it must be titled “Aether Academy OC: (Insert Character’s First Name Here).” If it is not titled this way, I will not open your message. This helps me look through my inbox, so I would also appreciate that if your application does not fit in one message, to remember that to continue in the same message thread, you have to go to your outbox, click on the message you sent me, and then continue it there. Otherwise, I will get two separate message threads which clutters my inbox. 2. While filling out the application, please be sure to erase the parenthesis, which are these things ( ), and everything inside of them. I only want to see the category you are filling out and the information you provide. (E.g. Full Name: Alexander Arceo) 3. Now, this is a bit unconventional but go ahead and submit your Mary Sue character. They’ll probably just be used as a one-off character and I’ll probably make changes to them anyway. If you want a chance for your character to appear more than once, you must give them depth. 4. I have the right to change anything I want about a character you submit to me. Once you hit send, how I use your character is fair game. If I want to make them the academy’s laughingstock or stooge, I can do that. 5. For pokémon, I have the right to change anything I want about your character so what you’re actually sending me is a list of suggestions for pokémon that you would like your character to have. That being said, you can submit more than 6. List them by preference from most preferred at the top to least preferred at the bottom. If you want to give me a list of 15 pokémon, that’s fine. I probably won’t go all the way down but it definitely helps whenever certain pokémon start showing up in abundance like the ralts line or the charmander line. I am doing this as a failsafe so that I don’t have to go back and forth with some of you once all the most popular pokémon are already selected but regardless, please do go for those unconventional pokémon that aren’t all that popular, but you can’t help but find yourself drawn to. Again, THERE IS NO LIMIT to the amount of pokémon you can suggest for your character to have. Character (Student) Full Name: (First and last name. Want to name your character “Wolf”? Go ahead, Alex will get a kick out of that. Yeah, there aren’t any pokémon with that name but that’s literally lycanroc’s pokémon species so he can definitely make fun of that.) Build: (Describe what they look like. I like to be able to picture a character. Please include height and maybe weight.) Main Outfit: (What are they usually wearing? Remember, this is the Alola Region. No hoodies, long-sleeves, or sweatpants. This is supposed to be the hottest region so far.) Home Town & Region: (Self-explanatory. Your character does not have to be from Alola but if they are not, make sure that at the very least, their first pokémon can be found in their region based on the pokémon that can be found in the game that the region debuted in.) Personality: (What is your character like? Loud? Quiet? Serious? Excitable? Easily irritated? Patient? I can list one-word qualities all day. Explain to me how they would behave given what you know about the academy, the teachers, the other students, etc.) Strengths: (Tell me some of the things that they do well. You can include what they're good at in battles but focus on their personality strengths.) Weaknesses: (Tell me your character’s shortcomings.) Backstory/Plot: (This should give me enough depth to use your character in at least one chapter. No, I don’t expect you to write out a plot for a chapter but give me something to work with by at least telling me what your character is up to at the moment. Are they on the hunt for a rare pokémon? Are they trying to impress a certain someone? Are they a main character’s fling of the week? To make your character more appealing as a recurring character, give them depth like a proper backstory and goal.) Anything Else: (Anything you’d like to add that you felt did not fit anywhere else? If not, just say “N/A.”) Character (Non-Student) Full Name: (First and last name. Want to name your character “Wolf”? Go ahead, Alex will get a kick out of that. Yeah, there aren’t any pokémon with that name but that’s literally lycanroc’s pokémon species so he can definitely make fun of that.) Build: (Describe what they look like. Remember, Aether Academy is not primarily a battling school, so these qualities must be personality strengths or special skills that your character has.) Weaknesses: (Tell me your character’s shortcomings.) Backstory/Plot: (This should give me enough depth to use your character in at least one chapter. Are they supposed to antagonize the heroes or even some of the villains? Do they fit into the greater pokémon lore from the main series games or even the side games?) Anything Else: (Anything you’d like to add that you felt did not fit anywhere else? If not, just say “N/A.”) Pokémon Team Species: (What kind of pokémon is this?) |
