![]() Author has written 11 stories for Legend of Zelda, Sailor Moon, and Naruto. Know this: I am, in all probability, much older than you - I have children (again) probably older than you - but that's okay - since that has little to do with why I write this stuff. I just love to write. There is no 'why' really, I just look at it as a character flaw. Try not to hold it against me. I love history, real or imagined and this is the main reason I write so much stuff related to the Legend of Zelda. It's just vague enough that I can have my way with it and still have it almost make some sense. I've also recently wandered into the Narutoverse and what a fun place that is and it's likely you'll see a random fic or three pop up in that genre...There's a Sailor Moon fic here also, wrote it a loooong time ago. Below are some rather random summaries of my stories Nagori, Saimon and Senkyoku: A Wind Waker Tale: (Just one...strike that - maybe two chapters left to go (theoretically) To sum up: Link and Tetra have a bit of a falling out so of course the next thing you know, bad stuff happens. The story gives you the real reason you should go back to bed, when you wake up with a severe case of de-ja-vous. I have no idea what possessed met write a story based on an inverted time loop theory. I read about it in some random magazine at some random doctor's office...maybe my meds aren't working as well as they used to. (To everyone whose been waiting patiently or impatiently for me to get on with this already...I apologize - but I will finish this I've been oddly busy with the real world :) Strangers for a Night: This started as a two chapter dittie (is four chapters now) and it is based completely off my own fanfiction, Nagori Saimon and Senkyoku - ...scary I know - But! I kept getting this question: How, or better why, when Link and Tetra met up on Windfall, didn't they just walk away? - I decided this needed explaining, well not really, but it did get me to thinking on the subject and it was all downhill from there. I'm also trying out third person omniscient with a narrator whose identity isn't (hopefully) too obvious until the end- so if it's confusing...that would be why (it also gives me yet another excuse...to be a slacker with regard to the main fic.) Uzumaki Naruto, eh?: After reading a number of them recent Naruto Manga chapters...I had questions like: how and why Naruto got named the way he did... why the death god jutsu worked on the kyuubi in the first place. In general I do not post theories...I dump them into stories like this one. When I wrote it I was still missing (what I felt) were important details...not that that would ever stop me so you all get my interpretation of the events that led up to Naruto's father sealing the kyuubi into his only child. Being a parent I understand the sometimes odd choices we get to make for our children. There is also a rather random frog chucked in there...but I will blame that on Jiraiya - anyway work on assumption there are spoilers in this. I just hope Iruka will forgive me for what I did to his parents. Recipe for Disaster: This story actually takes place after the manga time line but the other story within that story regarding Team7 falls somewhere after the Zabuza arc - why? Oh heck why not...I have also been told I have an odd way of telling a story...sorry can't help it. I'd give a better description - but I haven't worked out all the random details as yet...But - Randomness, misc monsters, and a whole heap of misunderstandings can lead to one boy's discovery of just how dangerous one simple birthday cake can be and Naruto gets to save a princess...doh! What if: A collection of one shot character studies. Why? dunno but the chapters may be linked to the next by something used in the one before. Is hard to say and there's no real reason for this, other than I wonder about stuffs...never a good thing Reunion: I always said I wouldn't write and OoT fic, but...this idea just sort popped in there one day. Anyway this story is centered around a young girl and her grandfather. Takes place about 40 maybe 50 years after the OoT timeline. Mostly involves Lunnaei and her grandfather Rinku and a trip they make to Hyrule. To kill time while they walk her grandfather tells her stories about the Legendary Hero. In fact, he does so with such detail, you'd swear he was there. No real surprises here, but it is (I think anyway) some of my better writing. Morning, Afternoon and Twilight have been merged into one story called: A Day in the Life: (I may update if the mood strikes me - but that's not real likely) Though I did have an inkling of a short story pop in to my head just this morning. These three stories really are just character studies. I did them to get a better idea (in my head anyway) of what makes the my versions of TWW Link, Tetra, etc be who they are. The other stuff in there are just Zelda related oneshots that are short and incredibly pointless, but fun for me. Aracnaphobia and Link 'n' Lazlo: The first is a pointless one-shot based on TWW - is fun to torment fictional; two dimensional people. Link 'n' Lazlo is based off the Minish Cap - wrote it for a contest - didn't win - but I like how it turned out just the same. Time and Drifting: A couple of sonfics I wrote. Why? Don't know, but it seemed like a good idea at the time. Formatting issues with aside read em they're not too bad. Moonlight Legend:(Completed) Random Quote: Mistakes are part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from... Al Franken 10/1/08 Final note: If you came here because I left some sort of review and you think I'm evil, you should consider two things, First, I read far more than I review. Second, if I have offended you in some way, well I do apologize - I am not a writer nor do I profess to be an expert on the subject, but if I did take the time to do so, something must have caught my attention enough that I felt it necessary to comment on it. Either way, ...to get what you've never had, you must do what you've never done...so have fun with it - I do :) |
