Hi, I'm EgotisticalIndustries, but you can call me ego for short. I'm writing sci-fi fics to get better at writing. I'm done writing Kardashev Effect, and I had A Horrible Idea.

NEW FIC ALERT! MEGA CROSSOVER INCOMING!

A Terraformer's Tale reviews
When eezo is completely missed by humanity and they get an extra 100 years to develop, they're far more noticeable on the galactic stage. This is despite the Mass Effect side running on Over Analysis rules, and therefore being much more powerful. Add to that some culture shock, and you've got a recipe for either disaster or awesome and I'm not sure which!

Dimensional jaunt reviews
Leaving a bunch of mad scientists unsupervised for an extended period of time tends to lead to excitement. In this case, they stole an alien spaceship and hastily re-fitted it for inter-dimensional travel. Now they're running around the multiverse leaving chaos and insanity in their wake. DEAD!
X-overs - Rated: T - English - Sci-Fi/Humor - Chapters: 1 - Words: 1,989 - Reviews: 2 - Favs: 4 - Follows: 5 - Published: 1/19/2015
Outsiders reviews
The Quarians made their Migrant Fleet out of desperation. We made ours out of paranoia and a refusal to be stuck with only a handful of habitable planets. Canon plot rails? We don't need no stinkin' plot rails! DEAD FIC

Over analysis reviews
The mass effect universe (more specifically eezo) has a great amount of potential that the writers missed. For one, a device the size of a tissue box could theoretically one-shot harbinger without being a ridiculously advanced piece of incomprehensible transapientech. This is my over analysis of the physics behind mass effect, in an attempt to see what the writers missed.

EgotisticalIndustries Plotbunny Adoption Service reviews
This is a pet shelter for plotbunnies. If you find a plotbunny you like here feel free to adopt! If you come up with a plotbunny you can't write for whatever reason, you can leave it here, I'll take very good care of it. You can start your own branches if you want. NO LONGER FUN TO WORK ON! NOT DOING IT ANYMORE! THE DOORS ARE CLOSED!

Smart Trek reviews
In canon star trek, there were several technologies available that could utterly demolish the status quo, but wound up pidgeon-holed and never exploited to their full potential. Also, there will be no reality warpers or deus-ex-machina asspulls. Finally, I've cured the Federation of their idiotic ship design, and everyone will generally act intelligently in most cases. HIATUS!
StarTrek: Other - Rated: T - English - Sci-Fi - Chapters: 7 - Words: 12,522 - Reviews: 22 - Favs: 64 - Follows: 77 - Updated: 8/3/2014 - Published: 7/31/2014
Exodus 20 reviews
When the reapers came, for all our strength we couldn't beat them. Hiding was too risky. So we ran. When we came to the edge of the galaxy we didn't stop running. We only slowed down when we came to the Triangulum galaxy, and we knew we had at least 100 years before the Reapers caught up to us. SEQUEL TO: Synthesized

Arms Race reviews
Step 1: Divide this humanity into 3 power blocs that generally want to see the others die in a nuclear flame. Step 2: Make this humanity classify everything eezo-related until they can replicate it without eezo. Step 3: Fill the military-industrial complexes of all the human factions with antimatter-loving sociopaths Step 4: give this humanity an extra 200 years to expand. DEAD FIC

Synthesized reviews
In this universe, humanity has 2 technologies that they failed to get in canon, but should by all rights be there. The 1st is one humanity has the tech to make RIGHT NOW! The second is the realization that if there are a set of circumstances to make a substance, then you can replicate those circumstances. This fic also won't be a mere rehash of the 1st game like oh-so-many others.

A Horrible Idea reviews
Screw it, I'm bored. Let's graft a reality-warping abomination from outside all existence to Commander Shepard's soul and see what happens. Oneshot.

Kardashev Effect reviews
By the time Humanity discovered eezo, they didn't need it. Watch and see as the synthetic offspring of humanity use entire solar systems as raw materials, alienate the Council, and curbstomp the Reapers. (REAPERS DEAD, SHOOT IDEAS FOR AN ACTUAL THREAT AT ME PLEASE!)
