Author has written 3 stories for Hellsing, and Dragonlance. Realized a year after making this account, four months after starting to put stories out, that I didn't have a profile written. Whoops! I'm a full time mother and author. I've worked in a number of fields over the years, especially those relating to the arts, and have a number of venues that I'm involved in to keep busy and refine my skills. I'm also an avid, incurable bibliophile who, in the recent past, had the majority of her library "lost" by movers and have been in a whirlwind of activity trying to replace those lost books. Especially as many of them were resource books for a fantasy series I'm world-building for. In short, I'm a very, very busy woman. And I was sucked into the world of fanfictions by my younger sisters a few years ago. I cringe at a lot of what is written, and love when I find rare gems in various fandoms. My favorites are the humorous ones, particularly the ones that tear down bad fanfic tropes, (I'm horrible, I realize that,) or tell extended adventures for the canon characters. I'm writing three fanfics right now, each for their own reasons, but mostly as a creative writing exercise to weave a story within a story that already has parameters set by their original architects. It gives me something fun to do in my downtime, and I hope readers will enjoy the stories. 2020 update: When Two Worlds Collide is Complete! And the sequel, When Two Prophecies Collide, is now underway. I'm still putting out bursts of chapters for Opposing Forces when inspiration hits me; but my attention is largely on WTPC. Apologies to fans of that story for the inconsistency in updates; but I can only focus on just so much at a time. I love the characters, they are NOT abandoned, but OF has turned into my secondary fic because WTWC/WTPC has had my creativity captured so persistently. June 6th, 2020- Canto Alla Vita has been deleted and will not be continued. As someone with many trans friends and a trans family member, I am once again disturbed by a certain writer's behavior. As much as I loved the books, my enjoyment and inspiration from them has been steadily snuffed out everytime someone I love has been hurt by seeing one of their heroes publicly trample on their identity. I've heard my lesbian friends' outrage with a few prejudiced members of their community being propped up by this author as justification for such behavior and causing more fights in their community. I've been educated by those loved ones on just how frequently and deeply this has been a problem. And to unrepentantly do this during Pride Month no less? I'm only one small fanfic writer, but I believe writing a fic for the series and ignoring the author's behavior is ultimately perpetuating the problem and giving indirect support for their behavior. And if there's one message from that series that I still take to heart, it's that we have to take a stand when people filled with hate and fear seek to divide us by naming others as less pure than others in their community. If you have a problem with me taking this side of the issue, please unfollow me immediately, I don't need or want your reviews/support. To the followers I have who remain following me- you are amazing individuals. And I replaced my computer a few days ago, so I will be back to writing very soon. |
