Author has written 7 stories for Rurouni Kenshin, Pet Shop of Horrors, and Harry Potter. Sorry guys. It's been a while, hasn't it? Don't worry, I haven't forgotten all of you, and do still intend to finish my fictions. I've simply been waylaid by life: that beautifully invigorating and equally infuriating circumstance that befell each and every one of us at the moment of birth. Considering I am now a work-load stressed, eighteen-year-old University freshman, my free time has dwindled to almost nil. But I'm still working--just expect infrequent updates. But, if any of you simply cannot handle the wait and desire to know what I'm doing at this exact moment, feel free to contact me via email, AIM, or YIM. AIM: omgchocolatefrog YIM: painter_of_the_unseen. On the whole, I'm quirky, cheeky, and rather mischievous for a love of writing, indepth characterization and complex plotwork. If I can help it, you will rarely find obvious answers in my plotlines. But then again, you guys are smart...so just don't crush my ego too finely, y'hear? I need some of it to keep writing. =P On another note: I am looking for a beta(s) for my three currently ongoing projects, The Cast of RuroKen, Nightingale's Requiem, and an As-of-Yet Untitled Harry Potter fiction. Feel free to apply via email. The Cast of Ruroken and How to Not Write a Fanfic: Parody, obviously. It's in this story that my wicked, twisted sense of humor really shows itself. Follow the cast of Rurouni Kenshin as they attempt to deal with the beautiful, the wonderful, the Angel from on High, Mara-chan as she falls gracefully into their lives with her sun-kissed golden hair and perfect physique (save, of course, from that monstrous defect that every good character must have) during the Jin'e mini-arc. Next chapter: On hold (surprisingly, perhaps, there is a good deal of effort involved in this story, and it's difficult) Nightingale's Requiem: InuYashaxRurouni Kenshin crossover. The storyline will be extremely dark, and, following that, will be quite unhappy. The dark repercussions of Kikyou's misinformed but no less deadly dying curse finally begin to take effect in what, for her, would be the next life. The psychological effects of reincarnation and the personal trauma that it creates for each of the characters will be dealt with, as everything the RK crew knows is twisted and transfigured, and everything they have come to love and to believe in seems bleak and unreal. Reality is what we make of it. Next chapter: I simply need the time to type it out. Ghosts in the Attic: . Expect this to be fairly dark and twisted, but not nearly as dark as, say, NR. The darkness in this one comes from its setting, which is during the war with Voldemort, and by nature makes the story itself dark. It follows both a directly post-HBP timeline and a future timeline, after the war has reached a conclusion. The story opens in that future timeline, which I shall refer to as the present, where you will see a twenty-five-year-old Harry Potter tending the bar of a cozy little restaraunt in Muggle London, handicapped of sight and most magic, and being interrupted by the arrival of his former Potions Professor who brings with him unhappy tidings. Following this introduction, the story will veer into the past, the directly post-HBP timeline, where the tale of Harry's growth into the man behind the counter will begin, with an occasional interlude into the present. Follow the unfolding drama of deception, death, intrigue, and hope as it weaves its way through the characters' lives, creating a present that will hold an unforseen impact on the near future, for Snape's tidings are only the tip of a deadly iceberg, waiting predatorily in the mist... Relationship warnings: Contains HarryxGinny, RonxHermione, HarryxDraco, and eventually HarryxSeverus slash. The relationships are most assuredly not the story's focus, but nonetheless play an integral role in the development of both characters and plot. So if slash (or het, for that matter) aren't your thing, steer clear. Chapter One: Partially finished. Tentatively done by Halloween. Note: For those interested, Ghosts in the Attic now has a livejournal with reviewer responses and my between-chapter ramblings. You can find it here: Ghosts in the Attic .Autumn Ruby |
