If you've made your way here, chances are it's because you're interested in my writing. Welcome. Please peruse what you find here and feel free to let me know what you think, if you so desire. Comments, PMs, and emails are all welcome.

My name is Dawn Felagund; my legal first name is Dawn, my legal last name is not Felagund. I am a thirty-something humanities teacher at a small school in Vermont. My unpaid life's work is as an artist and creator: I write stories and poems, study medieval calligraphy and illumination, and engage in other forms of nerdtastic fun. As part of that, I study and write about J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion. I've authored several longer works set in Tolkien's world, as well as over 100 poems and pieces of short fiction.

A glance at what's here reveals that, clearly, they're not all archived on this site. The majority of my work resides on the Silmarillion Writers' Guild, a group that I founded for discussion and writing about The Silmarillion. If you like my work and want more of it or to see the new stuff I occasionally produce despite my school schedule, I suggest joining there.
