Hi, and welcome to the home for our Labyrinth fic. Sarai is the joint pen name of two fanfic writers who usually hang out in another fandom, but we got bitten by a plot bunny, and Draw Your Swords is the result. There will probably be other one-shots later on, but Draw Your Swords is going to be the 'origin story' for our 'verse, and should be read first. We'll try not to make it too absurdly long, although we're known for half-a-million-word epics elsewhere.

Stories will generally be rated Teen for themes and language, but if the content requires an M, the story's rating will be changed when said content is posted.

Chapters will be posted at least once per week, though it may be more often. Reviews are very much appreciated.

We ship Jareth and Sarah, once she is of age. Jareth might argue that for most of his lifetime, fifteen-year-old humans would already be married with a child or two, but Sarah is a thoroughly modern woman who has definite ideas about age of consent and looks down her nose at patriarchal bullcrap.

We play fast and loose with fae mythology and folklore; it's fiction, so why not invent our own worlds?

Our canon sources are the 1986 movie, first and foremost; A.C.H. Smith's novelization thereof; and the various art books by Brian Froud and Terry Jones. We do not use the manga Return to the Labyrinth.

Also, the co-author has created a soundtrack of sorts over at 8tracks, if anyone is interested: kalalanekent is the handle.
