Author has written 14 stories for StarTrek: Enterprise, Stargate: Atlantis, Stargate: SG-1, and Castle. Well, I've noticed that other writers had an actual "profile" on themselves. Silly me, I was not even aware that this option was here. I did finally figure it out, however. 8-) I have been a long time Star Trek fan, having grown up with TOS watching with my parents, then enjoying TNG and those series that followed.I fell in love with Enterprise, despite its failings. I was disgusted at its finale episode and needed a place to vent my frustrations. I am not perfect in my canon recollections, being that I have too many other things to keep track of. I choose the name Arafel from a C.J.Cherryh novel "The Dreaming Tree". It is an old Irish Gaelic name (Aoibhail; same pronounciation...I figured I'd go with the modern spelling) which means "Joy". It also happens to be what I named my dancing sword, which I use when I perform Middle Eastern Dance. I added the Sedai, from Robert Jordan's series "The Wheel of Time". Aes Sedaiare the resident sorceresses for lack of a better term. (If you have not read his series I would recommend it...if you like fantasy in addition to sci-fi that is). I was overjoyed to find this site and even more pleased at the wonderful writers and stories I have discovered here. Thank you all for your efforts out there...You inspired me to put my own musings on line...Scary to do the first time out. Love the shippers. Pure romantic at heart and the show writers never seem to give us what, apparantly, we all want to watch. Nice to read so much of it here. |
