![]() Author has written 2 stories for Halo, and Danny Phantom. Hello. If you are reading this, you may have read one of my stories. I hope you liked it. I don't plan to write any new stories on this website. Here is some information on what I've kept: 1) Red vs. Blue: The Master Chief Saga (complete)- This is the first story I ever wrote. I was in high school, and I think my immaturity at the time is evident. I've deleted my other stories for various reasons, but I want to keep this one up as a marker of how far I've come as a writer. This story was written over a decade ago. I'm not the same person who wrote this story; my beliefs, values, and convictions have changed considerably over the years. Please keep that in mind when reading it. 2) Ultimate Danny Phantom- Like my other story, this one was started over 10 years ago. Unlike the other story - which is goofy and nonsensical - I always took this one more seriously, although you probably wouldn't have guessed by reading it at the time. My enthusiasm for the original story was gone before I stopped writing it. I felt like I had written myself into a hole and was no longer telling the story I wanted to tell. The way certain events played out kept me from expanding on them in meaningful ways, and certain characters were handled in a way that pigeon-holed them into roles that I no longer wanted them to play. Like I explained for the Red vs Blue story, I'm not the same person I was 15 years ago. I was equal parts embarrassed by what I had written (and still am to a degree) and eager to tell the version of this story I feel is superior. As such, I'm going back to fix this story and bring it up to my current standards. Progress is slow going, but it is happening. What this means for UDP is that I'm going back through and replacing the old chapters. As I replace old content with new content, I'm leaving the old content in place until a new chapter is completed and can replace old content. I'm doing this for 2 main reasons; so that older readers could revisit that content if they wanted, and so that I had a point of reference for where I was in the rewrite. I won't update this section with each new chapter because I'd probably forget anyway if I tried, but here's how you can tell the old content from the new: - Old chapters were broken up into ~9 "segments," and those segments will share the same title with sequential numbers. I think the cringey author's notes at the end of those segments are also a clear giveaway that you're seeing the older content. Old chapters/segments/whatever will be closer to the end of the story. - New chapters are just single chapters, though they're much longer than any single "segment" of the older stuff. New chapters don't have numbers and, except for the first one, don't have author's notes. Newer content is being added from the beginning. I'll remove all of this explanation when/if the revision ever gets completed and the new content completely takes over. The old story no longer aligns with the trajectory of the new story. Feel free to completely disregard the old chapters once you finish the newer ones. Or you can look at it to compare the older vs the newer writing style. So for anyone either returning to or starting to read this, I hope this is a satisfactory explanation. For those of you who are coming back, or new to this story, I hope you'll stick around. I also have some very, very tentative plans to take a mixed-media approach to this story in the future. Stay tuned. I like drawing the characters in this story. You can see some of my work here.
