Author has written 40 stories for Silmarillion, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Leverage, Supernatural, Friday Night Lights, Game of Thrones, and A song of Ice and Fire. PLEASE REVIEW. AUTHORS THRIVE WITH REVIEWS. Even just a 'good job' makes us happy. I cannot stress enough how happy reviews make me. In most circles I'm know as Ali Kat, including the Twitter world (AliKat_7), Tumblr (alikat7), Facebook, YouTube (TheOriginalAliKat) and livejournal - . I post all my fanfic at that LJ (except my LOTR/Silmarillion fanfic which is on here; ) as well as my graphics and animations, and all fandoms fanvideo. I also run fansites! The are all listed here: I began writing Tolkien fanfic in 2004. I am a huge fan of the House of Finwe - all those naughty ones: Feanor, Curufin, Caranthir, Celegorm, Celebrimbor, Maeglin, plus the not so naughty ones like Fingolfin. I also love Glorfindel, Elrohir, and Elladan. I am a huge Noldork (fan of Noldo elves) After that I wrote Leverage fanfic in April 2010, usually with Eliot, Parker, and Hardison. It all started when I started going through withdrawals from the show. I write what the muses tell me to write. Now I'm writing a Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire fic because I became obsessed with that show. My muse has ADHD. Lord help me. Stories in Process: Game of Thrones: The Wind Itself Was Their Song: Joffrey allows Ned Stark to take the black but keeps Sansa in King's Landing as his hostage. The Starks decide they won't let a false king take away what's rightfully theirs and unites the North with Renly Baratheon to change their future. Daenerys Targaryen and her dragons are looking for an alliance in Westeros and finds one unexpectedly. Pairings will be added as they happen so as not to spoil Nothing Burns Like the Cold: *Sequel to A Lion in Winter* The war continues to weigh heavily on Robb and Deirdre as Jon faces his own hardships. Winter is coming and nothing burns like the cold. *Book Spoilers for A Sword of Storms/TV Spoilers for Season 3* Book Verse AU - Robb/OFC, Jon/OFC The Lord of the Rings/Silmarillion Paradox of the Fourth Age: 2006 MEFA 3rd Place Winner: AU WIP - One wrong decision can make a world of difference. When one of the Fellowship makes the mistake, the consequences are so severe that only the Valar can repair it. But will they? Elrohir/OFC, Glorfindel/OFC, Elladan, The Fellowship, Galadriel/Celeborn, Elrond/Celebrian, Arwen, Thranduil, Valar I do intend to finish Paradox some day but I don't know when that will be. I'm sorry to everyone who was following that story for the decade long delay. It wasn't an intentional thing and it was a difficult decision to make. All of my Lord of the Rings stories are posted on Open Scrolls Archive (OSA) and some are on Stories of Arda (SoA), Silmarillion Writer's Guild (SWG), Fanfiction.net, Naice a Nilme, and my Writing Live Journal. All of my Game of Thrones fic is on Archive of our Own. All of my awards are posted on my LJ if interested - /profile Open Scrolls Archive (OSA) /fanfic/authors/stories.php?no=2054 Archive of Our Own - /users/AliKat7/profile I try to update as often as I can. I go through phases where I will update A LOT, then, I will have writers block for awhile. This last one has been almost five years. I usually return! I do intend to finish Paradox of the Fourth Age and The Wind Itself Was Their Song one day because I still love them hardcore. I still have the outline and ending for the story, so I just need to get back into the groove at some point and finish them but please don't email asking me for updates. I can't help when it happens. -_- MOST LIKELY WILL NOT BE UPDATED: Leverage: Revenge Comes Calling: Sequel to Rattle Snake Smile (M - Eliot/OFC) When Eliot warned Katie about his past, she really didn't think it would affect their future. Unfortunately for her and the rest of the team, one of the team's previous encounters decides it's time they pay. Leverage/Supernatural Crossover: She Talks to Angels: (T - Parker/surprise pairing) Parker impulsively steals something that ends up having supernatural effects on the team, bringing the Winchester brothers into their life as well as a certain angel. Friday Night Lights: Bruised but not Broken: (M - Tim/OFC)Future fic after S5 Tim Riggins is trying to rebuild his life in the town he once loved. He just doesn't know how to heal when he's constantly reminded how far he fell. Tim/OFC Teen for now but will be M eventually Policies and beliefs about fanfiction!
Flames are bad. I don't give them and I've never had a flame knock on wood because I started out writing on sites that didn't allow it. Coming here was an eye opener but I have been blessed to not have been flamed, which is good since I don't like fire overly much. I think flaming is childish, mean, and doesn't help the writer at all. If the writer doesn't want help, you can't exactly force it on them. You just have to overcome the urge to lash out and click the box to close the fiction. I'm a pro at that! If I don't like it, back button! You should never read things you generally don't like to begin with. If you don't like slash, don't read it. Don't like hobbits - don't read hobbit stories, etc etc. I think it takes a better person to not flame someone even if you feel they deserve it. Its a whole 'Jedi rising above it' thing I guess. Who knows. I've never flamed or been flamed but I've seen the results of flaming and its just uncalled for, especially when it gets too personal. If the story you're reading makes you want to gouge your eyes out, you need to stop reading it. To be safe - you might want to turn off the PC for a few hours because you're getting too immersed in the virtual world. Reviews Reviews on the other hand are GOOD. Everytime you post you wait for reviews. If they don't come and you see by the hit count that people are reading the story, you assume they don't like it and are just trying to be nice by not saying. So even if you just say 'good job' or 'I like this but I wish you'd stop doing such-and-such...' its better than silence. Mary Sue/OFCs Not all OFCs are Mary Sues. Just because I have a female character in a story falling in love with one of the Imladris twins does NOT make her a Mary Sue. But you will never see me jumping up and down saying my character isn't a Mary Sue because I hate it when other people do that. Read my fiction - decide for yourself. If you like it - does it matter if she's a Mary Sue or not? If she makes you roll your eyes so hard that it makes your brain bleed, then its best you stop reading it immediately. ;) |
