Merlin is injured in an attack and the knights all worry about their friend. Just a little story that I thought of last night. Not slash.

Merlin saves the day - yet again - when he manages to get an injured Arthur and knights to safety. But Merlin's troubles are far from over when an investigation into what had happened to the king and knights leaves him in a bad way, and now it's Arthur and Gwaine's turn to be there for him. Merlin hadn't fully recovered from the side-effects of the Serket's poisonous sting when the battle for Camelot began. Now, bone-weary and bitterly disappointed, the last thing he needs is a certain clot-pole ordering him about. Set after 3.02. Non-slash.

Merlin has been missing for three days and presumed dead. With Nimueh attacking Camelot Arthur never got a chance to look for his body, but when a half dead Merlin comes stumbling back to the kingdom, there are a lot of questions that need to be answered.

While out on patrol, Arthur, Gwaine, and Leon come across an abandoned building, but soon discover that's not the only thing that's been abandoned

"The snow fell, an arrow flew, and blood began to drop slowly onto the pure white ground, staining it with that unholy crimson color." AU to 2x03, in which Merlin chooses to help Morgana and tells her he has magic. At the end, Emrys will always be Morgana's doom. After a seemingly random attack leaves Arthur, Merlin, and Gwaine taking shelter, the three find themselves suddenly without certain senses.

Never before has Merlin felt the weight of his destiny so heavy upon his shoulders. The threats to Camelot just keep coming, and Merlin is feeling drained. But things are only about to get worse after a trip to the vaults with Gwaine comes with unintended consequences. Merlin's secret suddenly becomes that much harder to keep. And it isn't long before Arthur becomes suspicious.

The knights protect Merlin for a change.
