He felt like his mother took a job with shitty hours and pay to get away from him. I know ( hope ) that's not something you ever think, and that you wrote that to show how positively overdramatic Arthur's mind actually is when it comes to analyzing his own life, because that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard to the point it almost physically pains me. I hope to all that is good that no teenager is actually stupid enough to ever believe that about anyone. Holy hell.

Still, I like the way you wrote Alfred. His character's adorable, even if your Arthur is less than likable. I'm always a fan of when Gilbert gets thrown into things, as well.
