You’re an excellent writer with wonderful ideas and well planned stories, but it’s a little bit hard to tell which characters are talking sometimes. If there’s a rapid exchange of conversation, like where Legolas’ identity is discovered, then we need to be able to tell who is talking. You can do this by adding on words at the end.
Example “Yes, I am,” the elf replied with a sigh. “When did you realize it?”
Dirhael frowned thoughtfully. “Almost since the beginning,” he replied, stroking his wiry grey beard. Legolas smiled.

So that’s my constructive criticism. Love your work!

I'll admit here that I have a very unhealthy obsession with Legolas and by extension Aragorn. I find this story to be utterly fascinating as that final scene in BOTFA made me wonder so much about what happened when Legolas met Aragorn. Thank you for sharing this I do hope you'll continue at some point. Now I am off to look at your other stories and see if something else gets me curious enough to read it.

This is a great story. I'm glad to be able to read about Gilraen and Aragorn as a man. She must've been proud. I like how Legolas and Strider didn't jump into friendship immediately. This is a nice adventure. Waiting for more...
