Athos and d'Artagnan return from a mission to Picardy but all is not well. As Aramis states later, "Give me a broken bone to set, a bullet to dig out and a knife wound to sew and I can do something, but this disorder of the mind leaves me helpless."

To Thranduil's great dismay, Legolas is nothing like his father when it comes to his choice in clothing. This was made very clear when he was just a young elfling. He has not changed one bit since reaching his majority. And he finds out he is not the only one that feels this way, as a certain human son of Elrond's is quite the same it would seem. One-shot.

King Thranduil leaves with his guard into the woods of Mirkwood on a hunt for spiders that have nested nearby, and a young prince Legolas is disappointed he cannot yet go and help rid his realm of these creatures. But the king and father decides perhaps he could cheer his only son up by bringing the hunt home to the elfling.

The return to Pinon is both better and worse than any of them could ever have expected. It is a good job that they have their brotherhood to see them through. A series of missing scenes for Season 2 Episode 5 "The Return"
