One of my favorite things about Steve is that he's so strong, yet so vulnerable in quiet moments like this. We also see it later, in the tavern with Peggy and a number of times in later films, specifically with Sam and Natasha, because while they're not Bucky, he feels comfortable with them.

I think that Bucky has a way of teasing Steve, so that he's not dismissing his feelings, but doesn't let his buddy get bogged down in them too much. He comforts him not only in showing empathy, but in buyoing Steve when he needs it 3

Call me demented, but I like reading stuff like this. Even the mighty Captain America has doubt, he gets scared, he bleeds, he has that right, just like the rest of us. I think a lot of people forget that. Just 'cause he's stoic doesn't mean it don't hurt just as much. He still feels.

I really liked this. It was so touching how Bucky tried to cut Steve off from saying anything about dying. It just goes to show that even the toughest people have weak sides. I loved it :)
