Holy crap. That was so intensely beautiful. It's a fascinating idea on its own, and you captured it brilliantly. I loved it.

I know that this has been posted for awhile, but I am just now getting to review. I love the idea of this - that wonder (hope, even) that Henry might be his. I like that part of what starts hm thinking along those lines is that the boy reminds him so strongly of Liam, even if he does think Henry's "as daft as the summer day is long" LOL. I really found it even more touching and heartwarming that this is in AU Killian's p.o.v. and we get so many of his thoughts: the fleeting memory of red leather and blond hair, the pain in his hand at mention of the Dark One, fear of Emma's shame in this version of him...

You really got me though when Killian faced their foes with the thought that he must give Emma and Henry "their best chance". That phrase carries so much prior meaning and feelings. He is family now, biological father or not, and like Charming before him, he'd do anything to the safety and survival of his love and his possible son. The bit about his eyes never leaving Emma's face got me too; that even got me in the actual episode. Great Job!

Aww! I really liked this. I hadn't even considered the possibility that AU!Killian might have thought Henry was his son until I read the post by fergus80 that you mentioned, but it does make sense. I like how you got into AU!Killian's head here and showed his fear and cowardice, and his thought process as he found the courage to defend his family. Very nice!

Oh God, this was so cute and heartbreaking

I love this how other reality Killian feels like Henry could be his and he will do anything to save Emma and Henry. Because in Storybook Killian is in many ways the father that Henry never had. And Killian no matter where he was with his memories or without loves Henry and Emma like they are his family.

Wow. I watched the episode again and I can sort of see how Killian can wonder if Henry was his, and in reality, he already loved him like a son. Great read.

Oh, oh, oh... the feels! I'm so glad you wrote this prompt. It never occurred to me that AU!Killian thought Henry was his son, but once I saw the post on Tumblr, I couldn't stop thinking about it.

A pirate king would protect his wife and his son and poor sweet bumbling AU!Killian did just that. Excuse me while I go sob. :'(
