“Calories were calories.” That’s how my mom sees it when I’m eating food and my stepdad gets grumpy that I need to eat something real. She’s just proud I’m eating.

As a hypoglycaemic the dizzy shaky mess of low blood sugar is very real. Mine’s not severe but my boyfriend Hal’s is dangerous.
