| sorrellkaren chapter 2 . 2/17/2017 I liked this story for several reasons. First and far most I like the hurt to come to d'Artagnan and the comfort/revenge from the older brothers. Too many stories concentrate on Athos as the one suffering and the others as the caretakers. I have always seen the youngest as the best way to rally his fellow musketeers to the rescue. I also liked the OC and the reasons for his malice. The plot was believable and effective. That is what makes a story after all. And last but not least I enjoyed the way Porthos was not accepting his little brothers death. He was finding superhuman strength to prevent loosing his loved one. That is the mark of a true man. To go above and beyond for family and friends. The ending was nicely done and of course the length was perfect. Everything we needed and nothing we did not. Well done. |
| Mysteryfan17 chapter 2 . 11/6/2016 Oh my heart, my stomach... I'm a bit surprised they left the tree standing. I half expected them to burn it or fell it or something like that. Use it as fire wood. I was so hoping and praying that either Porthos would pop the stake or the Captain would get there at the end of the last chapter... it was both and... oh my h/c meter maxed out so badly during this fic. 10/10 |
