I really enjoyed this story. It had depth and great plot twists, I do hope that you update it soon and that it has not been left behind.

You'd kinda think kushina would want more revenge on sarutobi then just about ANYBODY in the village... I mean the mind-seals, the loneliness, the abandonment, not knowing about his clans, his own history, his own family, the sabotage, the clans not taking care of naruto, even hiashi's stupid edict.. It can ALL be "laid at sarutobi's feet". And he's gotten out of it with just some "hurt feelings"... Seems AWFUL LIGHT punishment to me.

Hiashi's "EXCUSE" and yes it is an excuse... Hinata HAS BECOME "hard and bitter and vacant"... EXACTLY has he hoped she wouldn't! (But really what exactly did they expect? That's PRECISILY what happens when you remove the "support system"... So more or less his "excuse" is an absolute lie, or INCREDIBLE STUPIDITY! Same goes for Sarutobi with naruto... That's BEYOND the level of "dumb" that can be allowed to continue to exist)

The thing I never understood on the uchiha massicure... Why did itachi leave sasuke alive?...I mean he was ordered by the higher-ups to do it, he KNEW for a fact that danzo just used them as "acquirable" weapons... He knew there would be NO SUPPORT SYSTEM for him, he knew his family was all going to go mentally bananas and after watching naruto he'd know NOBODY would honor any request he made. Wouldn't it have been KINDER to kill him too? The uchiha's are NEVER gonna get back the "glory" they once had (if it existed)... Itiachi threw sasuke to the wind and said "I don't care"... Naruto in compassion got thrown to the wolves and minato said "here is lunch".

I tried. Really. But you've managed to make me HATE two of my favorite characters and ruined this work. Hinata and Shizune are the worst characters in this fic purely because they drag the pace to a grinding halt. This fanfic would benefit incredibly from shortening Hinata's scenes and removing Shizune's. They kill the entire thing for me. Love the concept, but hate the boring, horribly slow execution.

I really hope you pick this up later and complete it. It was a very nice read. From the lighter moments to the darker undertones, with multiple character and plots progressing away from the scene and in the background, it built up to be wonderful story.

Seriously its a delicious but of darkness I was looking for in a Naruto fic considering the inherant background of the canon

I don't see why Minato just doesn't kill sarutobi... After all, ALMOST EVERYTHING is his fault.. And by minato killing him instead of naruto... Minato becomes hated by the villagers... He sacrifices the one thing he seems to cherish above all else (the love of the people) to avenge his son... and prove naruto's importance to him... He throws away all reputation, and "heroism". Have him kill sarutobi, in front of EVERYONE (so no "keep all this a secret") and then "FLASH" away. Maybe after stating how disgusted he is with everyone (again) and how that "spineless, old coward" got what he deserved for instigating the whole debacle. Nobody would know whom to condemn or cheer for.. Because (like in life) there weren't any "heroes" in that kinda move. I dunno if minato would become "hunted" or not.. Because sarutobi's actions were CLEARLY immoral and ILLEGAL on a CITY-WIDE scale... (if not planet-jeopardizing) he's "skated the bill" long enough! And if the village's "hero" killed him, then he HAD to be the villain right?

All of this is one of the main reasons I HATE stories when minato is allowed to return.. He should STAY DEAD darn it.. He made his choices. All of them at least "poor".. Malicious? I dunno.. That dubious "honor" goes to the third... Along with the whole "telling the village about naruto"... It's not like minato could "read the room" he was dead... The THIRD should have done that... Everything falls on HIS shoulders. Another thing I don't like about minato coming back... Is that the people (all the people) need to know that some things JUST CANNOT BE FIXED... Some decisions cannot be undone OR apologized for. They just ARE. Some relationships are just BEYOND repair. It's a FACT of life! By bringing minato back, your basically invalidating that growth in the entire village and with all the people.

This is getting redundant... Naruto ISN'T going to forgive minato.. Minato CANNOT justify his actions, they have reached an IMPASS... Minato just needs to leave and never come back... Why him? Because HE'S SUPPOSED TO BE DEAD! He already made his "FINAL choices"... There is NOTHING else to harp on... Some things, no matter how much anyone else wants them, can NEVER be fixed in any way! ACCEPT IT and move on already!
