anyway. at long last, thoughts on the story as a whole.
it's hard to find a fanfic with a solid plot that goes all the way through to the end. i used to wonder why people would always complain about how good fics are so hard to find, especially completed, but now i understand. this is actually the first fic where i dropped in on the first chapter like "aw yeah i like this i'm going to follow it" and made it all the way to the end. most of them just end up petering out or not really having an actual plot-plot or taking a loooooong looooong time to finish to the point where when it updates next you're like ? ? ? what just happened who
the shipping, in hindsight, is more of the frosting on the cake, with some contributing more to the plot than others, but it was great that there was a solid plot that stood on its own, with or without the ships. i mean, grand love stories are great and all but an /adventure/... those are less common. kind of reminds me of why i read fantasy novels rather than romance. it's nice, but y'know... something going on other than people falling in love/realizing they're in love is great too
there was the occasional typo here and there. i remember pointing them out to you (you also said intot at some point in this chapter. you should probably fix that), but they stopped pretty quickly when you started editing and stuff. so that was good
i actually spent a good long while just trying to figure out what mental disorder you had in mind for eren. i know i kept on kind of commentating from the perspective of an adhd who headcanons him as adhd n stuff but it was never explicitly mentioned and while yeah i can read between the lines it's also kind of. out loud is nice. i mean i get that you would also want to just leave it as hints in case someone was like "ooh hey this isn't really a thing i have done eXTENSIVE RESEARCH on this ONE PARTICULAR MENTAL DISORDER and haha buddy that ONE THING is wrong"

the carla coma thing overall was just kinda... there. i mean yeah it was a nice thing to keep them at the boarding school and for us to look forward to in the end but like plotwise...? eh. it was aight.

thinking about the spoilers that just came out and all that stuff, i really appreciate the organization and well-done pacing of this fic. this chapter felt like a good cool down from all the wild stuff that i recall happening last chapter, with the tornado and the zeke reveal and whatnot.
bertholt and reiner were never my favorite characters and i find it rather hard to care about them in canon, but fanfics, if done right, can make me care, and i was actually feeling very sympathetic towards them and annie in this chapter. maybe it's just me, or maybe it affects everyone, but a character with a mental disorder portrayed properly i find very easy to care about.
ah yes. a good chapter that i really wish i hadn't procrastinated on. good work! ! ! ! ! !

A great ending to a great story. It was filled with humor, hope, happiness and a touch of real life...it was amazing
