I'm terribly sorry, but me being a southerner also, I must inform you that "y'all" has the apostrophe after the "y". The rule with apostrophes is "an apostrophe is put in place of the missing letter" e.g. the word is "aren't" not "are'nt"
I hope this isn't rude, it's just a oet peeve of mine.
